Schalke winger Holtby reveals Premier League 'goal'

Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby insists that he is happy at the German club, but freely admits that one of his career goals is to ply his trade in the Premier League.

The Germany international, who will be a free agent next summer, was revealed by in July to be a target for Liverpool, along with club colleague Julian Draxler.

But, while the 21-year-old claims he has no interest in leaving Gelsenkirchen just yet, he would love to test himself in England one day.

"The Premier League is a goal at some point," Holtby told after Schalke's 1-0 friendly defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday evening.

"As a footballer, you want to improve always, and in football everything is possible.

"But I'm comfortable at Schalke. My contract runs until 2013 - my agent looks after everything else."

Holtby, who has already been capped twice by his country, joined Schalke from Alemannia Aachen in 2009.
