Sunderland loanee Bendtner coy over Arsenal future

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is unsure of what his future holds beyond the conclusion of his Sunderland loan.

The 24 year old has recently impressed for the Black Cats playing a starring role in the team's 3-3 draw away at Manchester City, scoring one and assisting one.

Despite feeling happy on Wearside the Dane still has two years left remaining on his contract at Arsenal but remains coy on his future in north London.

Bendtner told The Shields Gazette: "I really like the club and the manager has done really well since he came in here, but I haven't given it any thought yet.

"I still have two years left with Arsenal. It isn't just up to me.

"Ideally it would only be in my hands, but I'm just waiting to see in the summer.

"We've got the Euros, then in the summer after the Euros, we will see where we are."

With rumours circulating that German international Lukas Podolski is poised to move to the Emirates it is difficult to see Bendtner getting regular first team football if he opts to remain at Arsenal.

His goal return for Arsene Wenger’s side of 22 goals in 99 Premier League appearances has failed to win over fans.

However recent performances could suggest that the striker is showing the form that might persuade his manager to give him another chance to impress.
