Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna 'flattered' to be linked with 'dream club' Liverpool

The former Italy under-21 international was linked with Napoli over the summer and has been touted as a target for Juventus, and he says it would be "awesome" if the Reds want him
Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna concedes he is flattered to have been linked with a move to Liverpool.

The 23-year-old has represented Italy at under-21 level and has turned heads with some of his outstanding performances for his Serie B club.

Napoli attempted to lure the young defender to San Paolo over the summer but refused to meet Torino’s valuation of the player when they raised the asking price.

Italian newspapers have now linked Ogbonna with a move to Juventus, but it is reports that the defender could be on his way to Anfield that have excited the starlet.

"I am flattered by the interest from clubs, but I will continue to work hard for Torino in Serie B,” he told

"Liverpool is a dream club. If they are interested in me, that is awesome. I love the Premier League and one day I might play in that league.

"We all know that it is fantastic league."
