Fulham told to double their offer for FC Twente star Nacer Chadli

Fulham will need to up their offer for FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli to around £9 million, after being rebuffed by the Dutch side.

The Cottagers made a reported bid of €5m [£4.37m] for the 21-year-old, but Twente chairman Joop Munsterman has told Martin Jol's side to double their offer.

The 21-year-old has impressed since joining from AGOVV and scored in both recent Champions League clashes with Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Meawhile, Twente striker Bryan Ruiz had been linked with a move to west London, but Munsterman added that a deal for the forward was not in the offing.

"The offer for Chadli we consider a half bid, "he told Voetbal International. "And Bryan did not even want to join Fulham."
