Borussia Monchengladbach snap up Manchester United's Joshua King on season-long loan & confirm Aston Villa have agreed a fee for Michael Bradley

The club's sporting director has announced that the young Norwegian will arrive imminently, while the American midfielder is set to complete a permanent move to Villa Park
Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has revealed that Joshua King is set to join the club on a one-year loan deal from Manchester United.

The 19-year-old Norwegian, who can play in attack as well as in midfield, had a three-month spell with Championship side Preston last season, but now is moving to the Bundesliga to continue his development.

Eberl told Monchengladbach's official website: "We have an agreement with Manchester United for a loan of one year. United presented very extensive contract work because they care intensely about their players and would like to stay in constant contact with us.

"The contracts must be translated and checked, that's now going back and forth between the lawyers of the two clubs. Our goal is to have him in Bad Worishofen next Monday."

Meanwhile, the future of American international midfielder Michael Bradley seems to have been decided, after Eberl announced that his loan at Aston Villa will be made permanent for a considerable fee.

"Yes, the two clubs are in agreement," he said. "We have reached an agreement on a transfer fee, it will be significantly higher than the sum Borussia paid in 2007 for Michael Bradley.

"It now will be only a short while [before the deal is completed], because Aston Villa just unveiled their new coach last weekend. And he plans to speak with Michael before contracts are signed."
