Aston Villa chief scout Jeff Vetere is quitting after just three months in the job, according to the Mirror.
The 45 year-old was credited with bringing Darren Bent after working closely with the striker during his time with Charlton Athletic.
But it seems that a disagreement with manager Gerard Houllier over summer targets has spelt the end for Vetere.
The scout also spent time at West Ham United and became technical director of football at Real Madrid in 2007.
This further adds to Villa’s problems this week after defenders Richard Dunne and James Collins reportedly had a bust-up with staff during a training session.
