Wolfsburg have confirmed that the club have agreed a deal with Manchester City over the sale of striker Edin Dzeko.
The Bosnian international left the Bundesliga club's training camp in Marbella early on Wednesday morning and is now en route to the English capital, where City are due to face Arsenal at the Emirates, to undergo a medical ahead of the proposed move.
Wolfsburg press officer Gerd Voss told the club's official website: "The major agreement is done between all parties. But there are still some issues to sort out to make the transfer perfect."
City manager Roberto Mancini earlier this week revealed that the club had reached a deal with Wolfsburg for the 24-year-old in the region of £27 million, and it now seems that the striker will be making his move to Eastlands.
It is reported that Dzeko will be offered a contract until 2014, worth almost £8m per season and with a £2.5 signing-on bonus.
