Manchester City have agreed a £27 million fee with Wolfsburg to sign striker Edin Dzeko, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old, who last month was priced at £38m by his club, could move to Eastlands by the end of this week, despite Juventus and Bayern Munich reportedly making last-gasp attempts to sign the player.

City representatives finalised a cut-price deal with Wolfsburg over the weekend for Dzeko, who is to be offered a five-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

The Bosnia international could make his debut in the clash with Wolves at home on January 15, with Sunday’s FA Cup tie with Leicester City likely to come too early for the striker.

The arrival of Dzeko, who has scored 66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg, is expected to see the unsettled Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz leave the club.
