are believed to be making a desperate move to hijack a potential switch to Manchester City for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.

The Eastlands outfit have been linked with the Bosnian forward for some time now, and recent reports pointed towards the player and his prospective employers having hit a roadblock concerning his pay.

It had been reported that the hitman is looking to pocked £175,000-a-week following the potential move, whereas City were sticking to their guns by offering no more that £125,000-a-week.

However, the club's chairman was thought to have recently jumped in to up the offer to £150,000-a-week. But now the Daily Mail reports that the Bavarian giants are willing to meet the player's wage demands.

It is also believed that Bayern are willing to wait until the summer, should Dzeko choose to remain with his current employers for the remainder of the season.
