Newcastle United defender Jose Enrique was forced to sit out as his side lost 2-0 against Tottenham on Tuesday afternoon but manager Alan Pardew has admitted his disappointment after the left-back posted the news on his Twitter account just hours before kick-off.
"It's something as a club we need to look at," Pardew said. "Players can't be giving that sort of information out."
Asked if Enrique would be fit for Sunday's match against West Ham United, Pardew quipped: "I'll check his tweet."
Enrique had, however, already provided an update on his prognosis via the website insisting he's sure he'll be okay for the match on Sunday although he later deleted the Tweet seemingly acting on Pardew's comments.
