Tottenham are willing to offer Robbie Keane and David Bentley in a deal to sign Aston Villa's Ashley Young, according to The Sun.

Harry Redknapp wants Young to lead Spurs' battle to retain a Champions League spot, and is prepared to pull out all the stops to seal a deal for the star.

The Spurs boss is believed to be ready to offer Villa boss Gerard Houllier his choice of Keane, Bentley, Niko Kranjcar and Jamie O'Hara to sway his decision.

Redknapp is not hiding his determination to sign Young, and is said to be considering loaning defender Jonathan Woodgate, who is finally back in training after a groin injury, to Villa.

A Tottenham source said: "It's no secret Harry is a big fan of Ashley Young and would like to take him.

"So he's hoping the likes of Keane and Bentley could tempt Villa into doing business.

"That way Houllier gets a proven goalscorer and a like-for-like replacement, not to mention a few bob to add to his own kitty."

Young, who has reportedly turned down a new £75,000-a-week deal, has warned that he is ready to see out his contract and move for free in 2012 if Villa do not let him go.

Despite being linked with a move away from Villa Park, with Liverpool also believed to be interested, Young is only rated by the Castrol Rankings as the 356th best player currently plying his trade in one of the top five leagues in Europe.
