According to a report in L'Equipe, experienced defender Mikael Silvestre has turned down an offer from Kayserispor.
The Turkish outfit were reportedly ready to offer Silvestre an annual salary of €1.3 million (£1m), but the former French international is not interested in moving to Turkey.
Silvestre has been a free agent ever since he was released by Arsenal earlier this summer and has since been looking for a new club.
The 33-year-old defender has been linked with several Premier League clubs in the past couple of weeks, but has not yet received an offer that fully satisfied his demands. Clubs such as Fulham, West Ham United and Wigan Athletic are all believed to be interested in securing the services of the former Manchester United star.
A number of recent reports suggest that Silvestre has also attracted the interest of MLS outfit New York Red Bulls. The American side previously signed Silvestre's compatriot Thierry Henry from Barcelona.
