Manchester City captain Kolo Toure believes that Inter Milan starlet Mario Balotelli can make a big impact should he move to the Premier League.
The Ivory Coast defender, who scored the goal that led his country to a 1-0 victory over Italy in their friendly on Tuesday at Upton Park, a match that saw Balotelli win his first senior cap for Gli Azzurri.
The Eastlands club are hoping to finalise a £25 million deal for Balotelli before their Premier League season kicks off at White Hart Lane against Tottenham on Saturday.
Toure came away from the match against Italy extremely impressed with the Inter youngster, and the Ivorian hopes that Balotelli will join the squad very soon.
"He's a great player, a really good guy as well and I had a few words with him on the pitch, and I hope to see him soon," Toure told The Mirror.
"He is perfect for the English game. He's very strong, he's technically very good, he's fast. He's got everything to be a top player in the Premier League. He is strong mentally as well.
"His attitude is very good as well, he reminds me of Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira these type of guys.
"They have a really strong mentality and, in the Premier League, we like those kind of players.
"I just told him that we are waiting for him, thats it. Now we hope that the deal will happen. I spoke to him before the end of the match and then again afterwards. We will see what happens."
After their disastrous World Cup campaign in South Africa, Italy fielded a new-look side under new manager Cesare Prandelli, who handed Balotelli his debut appearance for his country.
