Robinho set to receive another shot to succeed at Manchester City - report

Manchester City are set to give Brazil star Robinho a second chance at Eastlands, despite his public outburst against manager Roberto Mancini last season.

According to the Sun, discussions between the club and the Brazil international’s representatives were to take place this week, but will be delayed until Wednesday.

City manager Mancini is prepared to give the 26-year-old a fresh start in the Premier League after the World Cup if Robinho is keen on a return.

Robinho, who came over from Real Madrid in a £32.5million move two years ago, had a poor season at City and was loaned out to Brazilian club Santos only weeks after Mancini took charge of the team.

Mancini is planning to add some stars to his midfield this summer and is reportedly aiming to sign Yaya Toure, David Silva and James Milner in the transfer market, but the Italian would be willing to bring Robinho back to the Eastlands as well.
