"There is a real interest from two English clubs and two other Germans, all of them world-class. Barcelona will not address this issue until they finish the season," he told Goal exclusively.

"The desire of Alen is very clear; to go back to Barcelona, take minutes and score goals."

Should Halilovic leave Barca he may yet remain in Spain, with Villarreal, Sevilla and Valencia all interested in acquiring his signature, the latter having tabled a formal bid.

Valencia are understood to have offered a fee of €7 million, along with a buy-back clause of €20m.

A number of English clubs were linked with Halilovic prior to his move to Barca, including Manchester City, while both Everton and Manchester United have also prevously been credited with an interest.
