RUMOURS: Ronaldo blasts Benitez’s reign at Real Madrid

The Portugal international's relationship with the Spaniard is reportedly at breaking point, while the club's president is even prepared to sell the 30-year-old

Cristiano Ronaldo’s working relationship with Rafa Benitez has taken another drastic downturn, according to a report in Spain.

El Confidencial claims that in a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Ronaldo said of Benitez: "With this coach we will not win anything”.

Perez is believed to be unhappy with Ronaldo over his constant quotes about his future and possibly leaving Madrid. Perez has reportedly confessed to some of his most trusty directors: “If anyone pays the release clause, let him go and be done with it”.

The report also claims that the 30-year-old barely has any communication with Benitez and that he was hurt by the fact that no one from Madrid - not even the club’s director Emilio Butragueno - attended his film premiere.

El Confidencial also reports that Ronaldo has told those closest to him he doesn’t get on with Gareth Bale on or off the pitch and that he prefers to have Karim Benzema by his side rather than the Wales international.
