Inter chief open to Guarin exit amid Chelsea & Manchester United interest

Inter president Erick Thohir admits he would be open to selling Fredy Guarin if the midfielder wants to leave the club.

Goal exclusively revealed in December that Chelsea are ahead of Manchester United in the race for the Colombia international, who has scored three goals in 18 Serie A appearances this season.

The Italian club have remained adamant that they do not want to let Guarin leave the club this month and while Thohir has reiterated that stance, he does not rule out the 27-year-old moving on in the January transfer window.

"Guarin is a great player and we would like to keep him here at Inter, but when there are offers from big clubs we need to think about it,” Thohir told Liputan 6.

“We cannot keep Guarin at Inter if his heart isn't with this club.”
