Premier League target Eriksen open to Ajax exit, says agent

The 21-year-old has previously affirmed his commitment to the Dutch giants, but his representative has revealed that Danish playmaker will consider offers this summer
Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen is open to leaving the Eredivisie champions, his agent has revealed.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs this summer and, for the first time, Eriksen is prepared to leave the Amsterdam Arena should the right club make a move.

The player's representative Martin Schoots has confirmed a number of clubs are interested in signing the Denmark international, who will give serious consideration to leaving Ajax.

Schoots told "We still have contact with other clubs, but we never know if a transfer is really happening.

“We don't want to speculate, and we always said that Christian has no urge to leave Ajax. This is the first summer that he's open for a transfer.

"He will only leave if he can develop at a new club, otherwise he will stay at Ajax."

Eriksen made 45 appearances and scored 13 in all competitions last season for Ajax and his current contract expires in 2014.
