Dynamo Kiev have announced the signing of Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda.
The 23-year-old was the subject of transfer speculation for much of last season, with rumours linking him with a move to Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham, but it is the Ukrainian giants who have won the battle for his signature.
The Morocco international - who will wear the No.90 shirt - previously stated he would only leave the Ligue 1 club to play Champions League football, but his decision to join a club outside of one of Europe's strongest leagues will be sure to raise eyebrows across the continent.
Belhanda rose to prominence during the 2011/12 campaign, scoring 12 times in 30 appearances, as Montpellier stunned the rest of France by winning the domestic title for the first time in their history.
He repeated that goal haul last term, despite MHSC failing to retain or even challenge for the Ligue 1 crown in a disappointing season for the club.
His contract with Montpellier was due to expire in June 2014, with his transfer fee believed to be in the region of €10 million (£8.5m).
