The Hatters youngster becomes the third shot-stopper to arrive at Carrow Road this season after the signings of Mark Bunn and Lee Camp, and joins on a scholarship agreement

Norwich City have signed highly-rated Luton Town youth prospect Tyler Reading on a two-year scholarship agreement for an undisclosed fee.

The youngster, who signed with the Hatters' academy back in 2009, becomes the third goalkeeper to arrive at Carrow Road this season, after Mark Bunn and Lee Camp.

Despite being reluctant to let such a promising talent leave the club, Luton youth operations chief Matt Stannard admits he wants the best for the young goalkeeper.

“Whilst it is our ultimate aim to push players all the way through our development programme, we would never stand in the way of a player who is offered the opportunity to move onto a bigger club," he told the club's official website.

“We felt in this instance that this was the right move for Tyler and Luton Town Football Club.”

Luton academy boss Wayne Turner echoed Stannard’s sentiments and is looking forward to seeing Tyler flourish in the Premier League.

“We had long discussions with all the staff and felt that this was the best decision for the club,” he said.

“We would like to wish Tyler every success at his new club as he seeks to pursue his career at a Premier League club.”
