Chelsea goalkeeper Sam Walker joins Colchester on loan

The League One strugglers have completed the signing of the young shot-stopper from the west London outfit on a temporary deal until the end of the current campaign
Colchester United have completed a loan deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Sam Walker until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, who has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blues, joins a U's side currently struggling near the foot of League One.

The shot-stopper was most recently out on loan at League Two side Bristol Rovers, making 12 appearances for the Pirates before returning to his parent club.

Walker will meet fellow Stamford Bridge hopeful Billy Clifford at his new club, after the attacking midfielder sealed a one-month loan deal this week.
