Ivory Coast midfielder Didier Zokora has expressed his delight at his performance as a centre-back during his side's 0-0 draw with Portugal at World Cup 2010.
"Before the game I was told I'd play centre-back, against one of the best teams in the world! But I did well," said Zokora.
"I was very happy with the result against a team like Portugal. It was not easy. But now I look forward to Brazil."
When asked if he would play a more attacking role in the Elephants' next game against Brazil, Zokora made no promises.
"They have very good players. I want to play more compact, you know, than against Portugal because Brazil have a lot of great players," he warned.
"But for now I will rest, go to the hotel, relax, call the family, and have a good time."
Zokora went on to suggest that the Ivorians will take a lot of confidence into their meeting with Brazil having defended well as a unit against the Portuguese.
The former Tottenham man insisted: "Defence is very important because there are three games, and all are tough. But we've taken a lot of confidence. And I want to play defensively again because Brazil are a great team."
