France defender William Gallas could miss rest of World Cup 2010 with calf injury - report

Arsenal defender William Gallas faces World Cup 2010 heartache after suffering a re-occurrence of a calf injury in training for France, according to Canal+.

The 32-year old played every minute in the 0-0 draw with Uruguay last Friday after he appeared to shake off the problem that prematurely ended his Gunners season in March. Regrettably for coach Raymond Domenech, Gallas is understood to have pulled up in training today and is a doubt for Thursday's Group A clash against Mexico.

The full severity of the problem is yet to be established and he could be ruled out for the entire tournament.
