Maradona skippered his nation to their last World Cup triumph in Mexico in 1986 and is hoping to repeat the feat as coach, allowing him to indulge his taste for extravagant celebrations.
"If we win the Cup then I will run naked to the Obelisk in Buenos Aires," he told reporters following his side's 5-0 friendly hammering of Canada.
He also revealed that he rested superstar forward Lionel Messi for the game against the Canadians because of the risk of injury to the talsimanic playmaker.
Maradona admits he feared the consequences of anything happening to the Barcelona player.
"If something had happened to you [Messi] in that match, I'd have been shot - you know where," he quipped.
