The full-back will have offers from some top clubs before the end of the transfer window, but with the Magpies eager to keep him, no deal is certain

West Ham, Watford and Napoli are lining up moves for Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat.

The 27-year-old full-back finds himself in the Championship after the Magpies suffered relegation at the end of last season, but Goal understands that he is not short of offers to play at a higher level with 11 days of the summer transfer window remaining.

He has enjoyed two profitable seasons at St James’ Park, where he arrived in 2014 for a fee of €6 million from PSV.

Nevertheless, there is no certainty that he will depart, as he has four years left on his contract with the English side, who could request a hefty transfer fee as a result.

There is no clause in his contract that allows him to depart cheaply, despite the club’s relegation, while manager Rafael Benitez is a fan of the player and wishes to put his faith in him for the forthcoming campaign.

However, offers are expected to be forthcoming, though it is unclear whether permanent deals or loan bids will be made.
