Wigan Athletic are reportedly chasing Jaguares de Chiapas forward Jackson Martinez.
The Latics were previously believed to be hot on the heels of Estudiantes hitman Mauro Boselli, but the Argentine club are said to have turned down an offer of £5 million for the sale of their star.
Now The Mirror claims that manager Roberto Martinez went to watch the 23-year-old Colombia international, and is pondering whether to lodge a £3m bid to secure the forward's services.
Martinez - who is seen as a potential partner for Hugo Rodallega up front - only recently joined Jaguares, but there has been speculation that the player could leave the Mexican club in favour of playing in Europe.
