Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
Wolves host Newcastle United in the Premier League next, while the Red Devils contest a Manchester derby in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
There goes the full-time whistle! Wolves and United will be forced to contest a replay at Old Trafford after a goalless draw at Molineux. Doherty was denied by a brilliant save in the first half before his goal was rightly disallowed for handball in the second, while a Mata free-kick was as close as the Red Devils came. It finishes 0-0!
90' + 7' FULL-TIME: WOLVES 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED
90' + 5' WIDE! Dalot has a shot from outside the box but it deflects off Greenwood and spins wide of the post. It looks like United may fail to hit the target even once in a game for the second time this season.
João Moutinho
Yellow Card
Wolverhampton Wanderers
90' + 4' Moutinho allows Fred to get the wrong side of him and holds onto the Brazilian in his attempt to win the ball back, picking up a booking in the process.
90' + 2' BLOCK! Traore beats Matic far too easily before surging past two more defenders and crossing for Jimenez in the box, but his volley is charged down! Traore repeats his trick as possession is recycled, but Lindelof hacks clear!
90' There will SIX minutes of added time for someone to grab a winner, if they can.
88' Wolves are pushing forward in search of a winner in the closing stages as United start to sit deeper and deeper.
A. Young
Yellow Card
Manchester United
86' Young drags Neto back to prevent him breaking away on the counter, earning himself a clear yellow card.
84' NO PENALTY! Rashford sprints into the box to latch onto a pass ahead of Neves, who slides in to deny him. The forward gets there first but his touch sees Neves make contact with the ball before Rashford went to ground! The United players are furious, but a goal-kick is given!
Diogo Dalot
T. Chong
Manchester United
82' Chong is forced off now with the injury he sustained earlier. Dalot replaces him on the right wing.
81' POST! A long ball catches United out as Maguire is rolled too easily by Jimenez, allowing the striker to run in behind. He evades the challenge of Williams in the box before smashing a fierce, swerving effort off the near post from a tight angle!
79' Jonny now snatches at a shot, dragging it wide of the target at the near post from the left.
77' NO GOAL! Wolves think they have opened the scoring as Doherty heads into the top-right corner from close range after meeting a left-wing cross well, but he heads down onto his arm before the ball goes in and the goal is ruled out!
Jonny Castro
Rúben Vinagre
Wolverhampton Wanderers
75' Vinagre is replaced by Jonny at left wing-back as Nuno uses his final change of the night.
74' Chong stays down following that challenge and is treated by medical staff, before getting back to his feet. He's still moving gingerly but looks to be trying to run it off.
M. Kilman
Yellow Card
Wolverhampton Wanderers
72' Kilman clatters into Chong out wide and seems to have hurt the young winger, earning himself a yellow card in the process.
João Moutinho
R. Saïss
Wolverhampton Wanderers
71' Nuno makes his second change, bringing Saiss off for a more creative presence in Moutinho.
71' CROSSBAR! Rashford nearly opens the scoring with his first chance after coming on as Greenwood plays him in on the left, but the substitute takes too many touches before shooting, allowing a defender to slide in and block. The effort deflects up and over Ruddy, but pings back off the bar!
M. Rashford
D. James
Manchester United
70' James is the second player to be replaced, with Rashford coming on to the left wing.
Fred
Mata
Manchester United
70' Mata is replaced by Fred in the first part of a double-substitution. The Brazilian goes into a deeper role, pushing Pereira forward.
69' Only against AZ Alkmaar in October (0 shots on target in total), have United gone longer without a shot on target in a game this season than they have tonight.
67' Greenwood leans back and blazes a shot high into the stands from distance. He's tried that far too often today with no success.
66' A United free-kick is crossed in towards Maguire in the box, but he can only get the faintest touch on the ball and the set-piece eventually comes to nothing.
64' Wolves get forward down the right flank once more, with Traore showing quick feet to get out of a tight spot and crossing to the back post, but Vinagre slices his volley and sends it well off-target.
62' Pereira holds the ball up in the corner, keeping his body between man and ball as Kilman tries to ease him off it. However, the referee bizarrely awards a free-kick to Wolves!
60' Romero receives the ball in his box from Maguire but inexplicably attempts to chip the ball back to centre-half over a Wolves forward and sends it straight out of play for a corner!
58' CLOSE! Mata steps up and curls a free-kick towards the far corner, with Ruddy guessing wrong and leaving his side completely open as he heads for the near post! However, the shot spins agonisingly wide of the post!
R. Saïss
Yellow Card
Wolverhampton Wanderers
57' Saiss slides in and clatters Chong from behind on the edge of the box from the right, earning himself a yellow card.
55' Play is halted as Neves goes down holding his head after competing with Lindelof for a header in the box. He eventually gets to his feet and is taken to the sidelines, but he looks okay to continue.
53' United still have yet to register a shot on target and it's the fourth time in all competitions this season they have failed to test the goalkeeper in a first half. They won none of the previous three games in which this occurred.
51' SAVE! Neto drifts across Young and works a yard to shoot. He hits a low drive towards goal with his left foot from the edge of the box, but Romero is there to make the save!
50' Romero has gone down off the ball and is receiving treatment for what appears to be an injury to his left hamstring. He's back on his feet for the moment, but Grant is warming up on the sidelines just in case he is needed.
48' Wolves have started brightly, with Doherty getting in down the right and Neves seeing a shot charged down on the edge of the box. Much more positive from the hosts.
46' We're back under way for the second half!
R. Jiménez
B. Ashley-Seal
Wolverhampton Wanderers
46' Ashley-Seal's full debut comes to an end as he is replaced up front by Jimenez before the restart.
Romero's save came from the only shot on target of the game as neither side have been able to really test each other. Both teams have been very cautious in the first half and both the number and quality of chances created has suffered as a result.
There goes the half-time whistle! Romero's stunning one-handed save from Doherty's close-range volley is the highlight of a cagey first half in which neither side was able to create much of note. United feel aggrieved to not have been awarded a penalty after Williams was felled in the box, but it remains goalless at the break.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: WOLVES 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED
45' Williams inadvertently plays a pass off James and out for a throw-in. The pair's link-up down the left has not quite clicked yet.
43' Williams backheels into the path of James, who uses his searing pace to edge ahead of Doherty. However, the wing-back eases him off the ball and James goes to ground, but is not awarded a free-kick.
41' Wolves are getting caught playing out from the back at times, allowing United to pile some pressure on as they take advantage of the turnovers high up the pitch.
39' OVER! Lindelof meets a Mata corner at the near post but can only flick his header up into the air and it loops over the bar and lands on the roof of the net.
37' WIDE! Lindelof steps up from the back and finds Mata on the edge of the box. He works a yard cleverly and feeds James, but the winger drags his effort well wide, snatching at the shot somewhat.
35' OVER! A corner is worked to Neves on the edge of the box and he strikes an effort towards the top-right corner, but his fierce drive is just over the bar.
34' Williams finds himself high up the field once again as he chases a long ball in behind in a central position, but Romero is out to the edge of his box to claim.
32' Maguire seems to have hurt himself while stretching to challenge Traore and is not moving freely. Jones is warming up on the sidelines just in case.
30' NO PENALTY! Dendoncker gets himself in a muddle as the ball runs through to him, allowing Williams to nip in and appearing to bring the full-back down in the box! However, the referee gives nothing and VAR confirms his decision! Wolves have got away with one there.
28' United's policy of shooting on sight in the last few minutes is not paying dividends, as James becomes the latest player to fire over the top from outside the box.
26' Pereira then has a go of his own from distance, but he leans back and blazes his effort well over the bar.
24' Greenwood lets one fly from some distance, but it's blocked comfortably away. That was unlikely to test Ruddy even if it had found its way through.
23' The tempo has been a bit flat to this point. Both teams seem to be exercising a great deal of caution.
21' Plenty of sloppy passes on display from both teams so far as they gift possession to each other. Nobody has managed to capitalise on this yet, however.
19' A clever touch from Greenwood on the edge of the box nearly releases Chong into the box, but the latter is crowded out on the ball and the danger is diffused as the youngster commits a cheap foul on Coady.
17' Neither side has yet stamped their authority on proceedings, with plenty of turnovers of possession in midfield.
15' Saiss goes on a driving run upfield as the United defence back off and wins a foul off Matic in a dangerous position on the edge of the box. However, Vinagre's free-kick is poor and goes straight into the wall.
13' SAVE! WHAT A SAVE! The second corner finds its way to the back post, where Doherty is completely free to volley at goal. Romero, who had already committed himself, somehow makes a stunning one-handed save to deny him!
12' The corner comes into the middle and comes off the back of Williams, but it spins just wide of the far post and behind for a second set-piece!
11' A scrappy passage of play follows in which neither side are able to retain the ball in midfield, but it eventually breaks for Wolves and Neto charges forward before feeding Traore out wide, who wins a corner.
9' It's been fairly even in the early stages of this one, with both sides probing but failing to carve out a clear chance for themselves just yet.
7' Ashley-Seal drives forward but is dispossessed well on the edge of the United box. The visitors counter and Greenwood tries to work a yard for himself in the box, but ends up shooting well wide.
5' Neto fouls Pereira in a dangerous position out wide, but the resulting free-kick is woeful and straight into the one-man wall.
3' Ashley-Seal chases a long ball forward into space behind the defence, but Romero comes charging all the way out of his box to head clear!
1' We're under way at Molineux!
26 of the 27 teams to eliminate United from the FA Cup (including winning finals) have been in the top-flight that season – the exception was Leeds United in 2009-10, who were in League One.
Wolves can come into their 10th FA Cup meeting with United with confidence, having gone unbeaten in their last four matches against the Red Devils under Nuno (W2 D2).
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, retains just four of the 11 players that started United's 2-0 defeat to Arsenal in their last game. Lindelof, Maguire, Matic and James keep their spots, with seven changes made. Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Axel Tuanzebe, Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard make up a lengthy injury list for the Red Devils.
Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo makes five changes from the side that were beaten 2-1 by Watford last time out. Ruddy, Kilman, Neves, Vinagre and Ashley-Seal - making his full debut - come into the side, with Patricio, Bennett, Moutinho, Jonny and Jimenez dropping to the bench. Morgan Gibbs-White, Willy Boly and Diogo Jota are all out through injury.
Manchester United substitutes: Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot, Angel Gomes, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lee Grant, Phil Jones.
Manchester United XI (4-2-3-1): Sergio Romero; Ashley Young, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic; Tahith Chong, Juan Mata, Daniel James; Mason Greenwood.
Wolves substitutes: Raul Jimenez, Jonny, Oskar Buur, Ryan Bennett, Owen Otasowie, Rui Patrício, Joao Moutinho.
Wolves XI (3-4-3): John Ruddy; Leander Dendoncker, Conor Coady, Max Kilman; Matt Doherty, Romain Saiss, Ruben Neves, Ruben Vinagre; Adama Traore, Benny Ashley-Seal, Pedro Neto.
Manchester United will be hoping to avoid being knocked out of the FA Cup by Wolves for two seasons in a row tonight, having been dumped out at the quarter-final stage last year.
