There will, of course, be limited celebrations for the Bayern squad and fans, given the ongoing social distancing measures in place not only in Germany, but around the world. But it is yet another title under their belts, with the DFB-Pokal final coming up in July, while they hold a healthy lead over Chelsea in their Champions League round of 16 tie.
RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund looked set to be genuine contenders at different stages this season, but both sides fell eventually fell away and succumbed to Bayern’s might. The start to the season was difficult, but an 11-match winning run has ensured the title goes Bayern’s way once more.
BAYERN WIN THE BUNDESLIGA TITLE! It’s an eight straight triumph for the Bavarians, and a 30th overall, with Lewandowski’s brilliantly taken goal – and a wonderful save from Neuer late on – proving enough to see off Bremen and ensure Flick’s side, who had Davies sent off, wrap up their crown with two games to spare!
90' + 5' FULL TIME: WERDER BREMEN 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH.
90' + 4' Bayern are camped in the corner, winding down the clock.
90' + 2' We're into stoppage time now, as Bayern edge towards the title...
90' WHAT A SAVE! That could well be the stop that wins Bayern the title, as Neuer dives low to his right to keep out Osaka’s header, managing to tip it away beneath the feet of Fullkrug.
J. Kimmich
Yellow Card
89' Kimmich has now received a booking for a foul on Mosiander.
C. Pizarro
M. Veljković
88' Former Bayern striker Pizarro is on for the home side, replacing Veljkovic.
S. Langkamp
Yellow Card
88' Bremen are pressing now, but Bayern stand firm, with Selassie seeing two crosses cleared. Lewandowski then holds up the ball upfield, drawing a heavy challenge from Langkamp, who receives a booking.
85' Huge appeals for a penalty from Bremen, after Sargent’s strike hits the arm of Boateng. However, there was little the defender could do to evade the shot, and the referee rightly dismisses the hosts’ claims.
N. Füllkrug
D. Klaassen
84' Another Bremen change, with Klaassen making way for Fullkrug.
83' What a cross! Coman displays a great turn of pace to get the better of his marker and whip in an excellent cross, but Lewandowski can’t meet it at the back post.
L. Hernández
S. Gnabry
82' Flick has responded to Davies’ red card by bringing on Hernandez in place of Gnabry.
82' SAVE! That really should have been game over, with Coman having turned Veljkovic inside and out to get through one-on-one with Pavlenka. However, the finish is lacking from the France international, who hits his strike straight at Bremen’s goalkeeper.
80' It seems an incredibly harsh decision on Davies, who could do little to get out of the way of Veljkovic. Nevertheless, if Bayern are to win the title today, they must see out the closing stages with 10 men.
79' RED CARD! Bayern are down to 10! Well, this has not gone according to script for the champions-elect, with their excellent young left-back receiving a yellow card after he was deemed to have purposefully blocked off Veljkovic.
77' Risky play from Neuer! He raced out of his box to try and clear a loose ball, but his touch is heavy and Bremen very nearly capitalise. However, he manages to clear up his mess and stem the danger.
75' After that slight scare at the other end, Bayern are back on the attack, pressuring Bremen and preventing their hosts gaining any sort of foothold.
73' Bayern goalkeeper Neuer has won 19 of his 23 Bundesliga matches against Bremen. Should the visitors hold on for the win, he would move level with Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn and Josef Maier in terms of players to record 20 wins against a single side.
71' Great defending from Boateng, who is in the right place to prevent any Bremen attacker getting on the end of a brilliant cross from Selassie, after the hosts had managed a rare venture forward.
68' Coman again gets the better of his markers with some sublime footwork, before then managing to lay it off to Kimmich on the edge of the area. The midfielder attempts to get a shot off but is crowded out and, by the time he had supplied a pass to Muller, the forward was offside.
66' Wonderful skill from Coman, who retains possession by pirouetting away from two Bremen defenders, before calmly laying it back for Davies.
65' Bayern have enjoyed over 80 per cent of the possession in the last five minutes, with Bremen hardly leaving their own half.
64' Bayern are totally controlling play at the moment, with all 10 outfield players all but camped in Bremen’s half, with the hosts showing little sign of being able to threaten on the counter.
F. Bartels
M. Rashica
62' Another Bremen change, with Bartels having replaced Rashica.
J. Sargent
L. Bittencourt
62' Sargent has replaced Bittencourt for Bremen.
61' CHANCE! Lewandowski looks all set to head home after connecting with Muller’s excellent delivery, yet for once he fluffs his lines, slicing his header wide.
59' Davies turns on the afterburners to reach Alaba’s pass and thump a low cross into the area. Lewandowski was lingering with intent, but Moisander gets across to intercept.
M. Eggestein
Yellow Card
56' Eggestein is furious after he is penalised for a challenge on Davies, who went down clutching his face. Despite his protests, Bremen’s midfielder receives a booking.
55' NO GOAL! Lewandowski thinks he has doubled his tally – and Bayern’s lead – after brilliantly turning home from Muller’s cross, but the linesman flags for offside.
53' Almost for Muller! He looks set to connect with a long pass from deep, but Moisander does enough to put him off.
52' Neuer all but invented the sweeper-keeper role under Pep Guardiola, and the Bayern shot-stopper has just raced 40 yards off his line to prevent Rashica getting on the end of a clearance, with Boateng and Alaba having both pressed high upfield.
50' Bayern slow the play down somewhat, with Boateng and Alaba exchanging passes as the visitors work it patiently forward. The latter eventually tries to pick out Davies, but his pass is cut out by Selassie.
48' A series of short, snappy passes between Osaka, Rashica and Bittencourt results in Selassie then racing into space down the right to latch onto a raking pass. Davies, though, is on hand to not only recover possession, but also win a free-kick.
46' KICK-OFF! Bayern get proceedings back underway.
S. Langkamp
K. Vogt
46' One substitution for Bremen at the break, with Vogt going off and Langkamp coming on.
Flick will surely now be demanding that his side come out of the blocks and wrap things up early in the second half, with Bayern having one hand on their 30th Bundesliga crown. Bremen’s coach was furious with the officials that Lewandowski’s goal was allowed to stand, but should be happy with the resilience his side showed in the first half – though they now need to add more potency in the final third.
Half-time at Weserstadion, with Bayern leading 1-0 thanks to Lewandowski’s superb strike moments before the break. Bremen had been holding their own, but one moment of quality means the visitors are 45 minutes away from securing the title.
45' + 1' Lewandowski had, really, been unable to get into the match prior to that chance, but typically took his goal in clinical fashion. There will be two minutes stoppage time before the interval.
44' There has been a VAR check for offside, but the goal stands.
J. Boateng
Assist
43' It was a brilliant pass from Boateng, who picked out Bayern's leading scorer in style.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
43' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! BAYERN TAKE THE LEAD! One chance is all Lewandowski needs! Boating plays a superb pass over the top of Bremen’s defence, with Lewandowski bringing it down expertly on his chest before drilling beyond Pavlenka on the turn.
40' It has been a strong performance from Bremen so far, though since that hopeful effort from Klaassen they have been unable to get on the front foot.
38' The scrappy nature of this encounter will suit Bremen more than Bayern, who have been unable to get Lewandowski, Coman, Muller or Gnabry into the area on enough occasions to truly threaten.
36' Werder have lost 56 Bundesliga games against Bayern, and have also conceded more goals against them in the Bundesliga than they have against any other side. However, they are holding their own so far today.
34' Boateng tries his luck from range, but his effort causes no issues for Pavlenka. Over half-an-hour played and, in the teeming rain in Bremen, still Bayern wait for a clear opening.
31' Klaassen netted twice in Bremen’s win over lowly Paderborn, and the former Ajax star manages to get high upfield and into Bayern’s box. He attempts to curl an effort into the top-right corner, but gets too much on it and sends it over.
29' Bremen have picked up just six of their 28 points this Bundesliga season at home. Only one side in Bundesliga history has ever taken fewer points from their first 15 home games.
27' Bayern are stepping up the pressure now, with Gnabry unleashing a powerful strike which is blocked, as Bremen continue to hold their own.
25' OFF THE BAR! Pavlenka is beaten and the crossbar comes to Bremen’s rescue, though Muller’s strike would not have counted regardless, as the offside flag was up.
23' Another effort from Coman, who is alternating flanks regularly. He takes a touch to set himself and lets rip with a long-range strike, but fails to generate the dip to get it up and over Pavlenka.
21' It has been rather scrappy so far, with Bayern unable to exert their usual authority.
A. Davies
Yellow Card
19' A first yellow card and it goes to Davies, who lunged in late on Bittencourt.
17' CLOSE! Another well-worked Bremen move leads to Eggestein finding space 25 yards out. He loses his balance, but still manages to get a powerful strike off. Neuer lunges low to his right, but the effort inches just wide.
15' Bayern have won each of their last 10 Bundesliga games – they last managed this under Jupp Heynckes in 2017-18.
13' An opportunity opens up for Coman to shoot, but the winger days his effort wide of the upright. Moments later, a cross is lifted in towards Lewandowski, but he is just unable to get on the end of it.
11' It has been a fast-paced start, with both sides not shying away from coming forward. Bremen are by far the underdogs, but have already proved they are capable of causing Bayern issues.
9' A first opportunity for Bremen, as they work a patient move down the left. Bittencourt lifts in a neat cross to the back post, with Selassie coming in to meet it, but his volley hits the side netting.
6' Bayern have lost more Bundesliga games to Bremen than they have against any other side.
4' Davies flashes a brilliant cross into the six-yard box, but neither Muller or Gnabry are able to turn it home. Fortunately for the Bayern duo, the offside flag is raised to spare their blushes.
2' An early shot at goal for Lewandowski as Bayern apply some immediate pressure. The forward’s volley would have tested Pavlenka had it reached the target, but a defender managed to divert it wide for a corner from which Bremen clear their lines.
1' KICK-OFF! We are up and running at Weserstadion!
The teams have made their way out and we’re moments away from kick-off, with 90 minutes potentially all that separates Bayern from their 30th Bundesliga title, or can Bremen spoil their party?

Bremen, on the other hand, have three games to save their Bundesliga status. They are 17th, level on 28 points with Fortuna Dusseldorf, who occupy the relegation play-off spot, with Mainz three points above the pair in 15th.
The title is within Bayern’s grasp. One more win will see them claim their eighth successive Bundesliga crown, and their 30th overall. Such an achievement seemed a push when Niko Kovac was dismissed earlier in the season, but the Bavarians have gone from strength to strength under Hansi Flick.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Bundesliga, as Bayern Munich – closing in on an eighth successive title – take on struggling Werder Bremen.
