Liverpool's hopes of an unbeaten league season come to an end then. For Watford though, this win could well be the springboard to them staying up. We'll just have to see. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Liverpool may have suffered their first league defeat of the season but they're still 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League. For them, this result is surely merely a bump on the road to glory. It might have a far bigger impact on Watford - they're out of the bottom three on goal difference. They sit 17th now, while Bournemouth drop into the relegation zone in their place.
Watford come away with a famous victory after bettering Liverpool from start to finish. Pearson's men were more vibrant, they were more tenacious, and in two-goal scorer Sarr they may have a star in the making. Liverpool finally lose but surely they won't play as poorly as this again for the rest of the season.
90' + 4' FULL TIME: WATFORD 3-0 LIVERPOOL
90' + 3' The game isn't technically over yet but Pearson and Klopp exchange pleasantries on the touchline. They know the win is Watford's.
90' + 2' Watford have decided they absolutely will not be breached. Kabasele hooks clear Mane's cross from the right.
90' Liverpool's unbeaten league run will end in precisely four minutes.
N. Chalobah
A. Doucouré
89' Watford substitution. Doucoure has battled well in midfield. Chalobah replaces him for the final minutes.
88' Mane takes on Femenia down the right but quickly finds his options limited. Van Dijk decides to try his luck from distance but today isn't his lucky day. His effort sails harmlessly over.
86' Salah shows a flash of quality as he skips past his man in the box. The Egyptian scoops the ball up for Origi but Foster raises his arms to claim it. Liverpool's key men have done far too little in the last hour and a half.
84' Liverpool are still trying but nothing is coming off for them. Lallana's shot is blocked after he receives the ball from Robertson.
I. Pussetto
I. Sarr
82' Sarr's miss is his last action of the game. He's frustrated now but he can be mightly proud of the game he's had. The Argentine winger Pussetto comes on for him.
81' Sarr misses his chance to get a famous hat-trick! Capoue finds Sarr with a sliderule pass behind Liverpool's defence. Sarr races onto it - he's one-on-one with Alisson, but fires just wide to the right! What a moment that would have been for him.
80' Liverpool are piling men forward now. Alexander-Arnold fires in a cross but Kabasele sticks a leg out to stop Origi tapping it in. Watford's centre-backs have been colossal.
T. Minamino
Roberto Firmino
79' Liverpool make their final change. Minamino replaces the largely invisible Firmino.
78' Origi approaches the box from the left and can't seem to decide whether to cross or to shoot. Ultimately, he ends up doing neither.
76' Watford aren't letting up here. Confidence is flowing through them. It's just not happening for Liverpool today.
74' Liverpool look shellshocked. Of all the teams that could have broken Liverpool's unbeaten Premier League record this season, Watford were one of the unlikeliest contenders. But they're doing it!
I. Sarr
Assist
72' That's two goals and an assist for Sarr. This is easily his best game to date in a Watford shirt.
T. Deeney
Goal
72' GOAL! 3-0 WATFORD! Deeney grabs the goal that surely secures a Watford win! Sarr draws Alisson out of his goal and passes back to Deeney, who floats it into the net from the left of the box!
70' Liverpool look desperate to pull a goal back here, but they have to be careful not to leave themselves too open at the back. Watford are playing at their clinical best.
68' Watford get a chance as Liverpool continue to push. Masina gets forward down the left and fires a cross into the box for Sarr. The Senegal winger sticks a foot out from the right of the box but can't hit the target.
67' This is a test of Liverpool's character now. This is the first time they've gone two goals behind in a Premier League game since Marcus Rashford was also the last player to score twice against them, as Sarr has here. That was in a 2-1 win for Man Utd at Old Trafford in March 2018. Liverpool have lost all of their last nine league games in which they've been two or more goals behind.
66' LALLANA HITS THE POST! The England man has a go with his left foot as the ball drops to him outside the box. It's a dipping volley that has Foster scrambling across his goal and it just clips the outside of the woodwork! Watford survive.
D. Origi
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain
65' Liverpool make an attacking substitution. Oxlade-Chamberlain's game is done. Origi is on for him.
64' Liverpool are pushing now but Watford are still getting chances. Hughes has a half-chance blocked from the centre of the box.
62' Liverpool get a free-kick down their left as Femenia fouls Mane. Alexander-Arnold is a little too clever in his delivery as he tries to catch Foster off his guard, firing it wide of the left-hand post.
A. Lallana
G. Wijnaldum
61' Liverpool make an immediate substitution. Wijnaldum makes way for Lallana.
T. Deeney
Assist
60' Deeney gets the assist as he kept the ball in by the touchline and fired the ball forward. It came from nothing but Liverpool's defence switched off, and now the world champions are two goals down!
I. Sarr
Goal
60' GOAL! 2-0 WATFORD! Sarr grabs his second! The Senegalese winger races onto a ball behind the Liverpool defence and coolly dinks it over Alisson. Liverpool are right up against it!
58' Robertson gets away from Femenia who gives the Scot way too much space. Cathcart comes across to cut it out and it's a Liverpool corner. Alexander-Arnold plays it short to Oxlade-Chamberlain, who makes a mess of it.
57' Hughes tries a throughball for Deeney. Deeney's header sails over but the Watford captain is offside anyway. Liverpool are having an off day.
55' Liverpool have fallen behind in their last two league games now, having not trailed in any of the previous 15 before that. Their air of invincibility has taken a knock in the last week.
A. Doucouré
Assist
54' That was a great assist by Doucoure. Lovren had his hands full and didn't see the Frenchman bursting in behind him.
I. Sarr
Goal
54' GOAL! 1-0 WATFORD! Sarr breaks the deadlock! Liverpool don't deal with a simple throw-in, letting it bounce in the box. Doucoure steals in behind Lovren to hook it across goal and Sarr stabs it in from a few yards out! It's no less than the hosts deserve.
52' Chance for Liverpool! Sarr goes to sleep and doesn't track Robertson's run. Van Dijk finds him with a beautifully weighted pass and Foster makes the stop! Watford eventually get it clear.
51' Robertson sends in a great cross from the left and Kabasele stretches to clear it. Alexander-Arnold tries the same thing from the opposite flank and Masina gets in the way. Liverpool are starting to liven up.
49' Salah has a pop from the outside of the box. It's blocked by Cathcart. Liverpool continue to press Watford back but can't get anywhere.
47' Liverpool ride out Watford's corner. The visitors need to wake up quickly if they don't want to find themselves behind.
46' Watford start the half brightly! Pereyra sends Sarr through on goal. Sarr goes for power with his left foot and Alisson gets a hand to it to tip it over the bar! Watford corner.
45' The second half gets underway. No changes at half-time.
Liverpool will want Mane and Salah to be livelier in the second half. Salah has scored eight goals in his five Premier League games against Watford, while Mane has scored or assisted in all six of his games against them for Liverpool. Will Liverpool's danger men turn up to make the difference?
Watford have kept Liverpool very quiet indeed. Pearson's men have defended stoutly and given the world champions very little space to create chances. Prior to Deulofeu's injury after half an hour, Watford looked the better side, and they came closest to scoring with Deeney's snap shots right on the brink of half-time. More after the break!
45' + 5' HALF-TIME: WATFORD 0-0 LIVERPOOL
45' + 5' Chance for Watford! Masina loops the free-kick in and Watford keep the pressure on. The ball falls to Deeney six yards out and Alisson is out to block the shot! Deeney tries to float the rebound into the far corner but it's just wide of the post. That's the closest either team has come to scoring this half.
45' + 4' Hughes is the next Watford man to get a free-kick as he's barged over by Lovren down the left. What can Watford make of this?
45' + 2' Mane fouls Capoue near the halfway line. Watford swing the free-kick in but it doesn't lead to much. The momentum that they had before Deulofeu went off has dissipated.
45' + 1' Liverpool have had just the one shot in this half - the joint fewest they've have had in the first half of any Premier League game under Klopp. That's a testament to how well Watford have defended in this half.
45' Oxlade-Chamberlain drops deep and fires an angled cross in. Kabasele deals with it. There'll be five added minutes in this half following Deulofeu's injury.
44' Hughes commits a clumsy challenge on Wijnaldum, handing Liverpool a free-kick. Alexander-Arnold lifts the free-kick into the box. His accuracy is lacking this time and it lands straight with Foster.
43' Kabasele clears Firmino's ball and finds Sarr up the other end. Sarr turns and shrugs off Fabinho to dribble towards goal, but pulls the trigger too early and blazes over.
42' Liverpool's corner leads to nothing. The visitors labour on the edge of Watford's box, only for the attack to break down when Mane is caught offside. The Senegalese winger's been rather quiet so far.
41' Alexander-Arnold is caught late by a robust challenge from Deeney but play continues. Salah picks up possession and plays the ball off Cathcart for a Liverpool corner.
40' Watford are doing extremely well at making life difficult for Liverpool. You wonder what impact losing Deulofeu will have on the hosts' goal threat through.
39' Kabasele cannons Robertson's intended pass for Firmino off the back of the Brazilian. It lands back to Robertson but the Scot can't do anything with it.
37' Watford pick up where they left off, trying to test Liverpool's high defensive line. Deeney is offside from Hughes' throughball.
R. Pereyra
Deulofeu
37' Pereyra comes on for the stricken Deulofeu.
36' Deulofeu looks to be in some pain and will need to be stretchered off. He's been given oxygen. It's a sad end to the game for him.
34' Losing Deulofeu will be a big blow to Watford. The Spaniard set up two and attempted one of Watford's four shots before his injury.
32' Van Dijk holds Deulofeu off, swatting him away on the edge of the box. It's not a foul but Deulofeu's leg buckles as he falls, leaving him in some difficulty. Not ideal for Watford.
31' A wonderful flick from Deeney sends Doucoure away. Unfortunately for Doucoure, Deeney hasn't got the legs to catch up and the Frenchman's attempted pass back fails.
30' Fabinho tries to thread a ball through for Alexander-Arnold. Masina anticipates it well though, cutting the chance out.
28' Watford win a corner off Robertson. Salah clears it and Watford have little option but to go back. Foster clumps it forward and Alexander-Arnold hands Watford a throw while challenging Deeney for the header. Liverpool look a little tetchy.
26' Deulofeu jinks into the box from the left and blasts the ball against Lovren. The fans appeal for handball, but there's no chance of that - Lovren's got his hands behind his back.
25' The flag goes up against Firmino as he catches Capoue with an innocuous high foot. Liverpool aren't finding their hosts easy to break down.
23' Alexander-Arnold sends the ball down the line for Oxlade-Chamberlain. Oxlade-Chamberlain thinks he's won a throw off Masina, but the linesman disagrees. The Liverpool midfielder gives the official a piece of his mind.
21' Watford pin Liverpool into their defensive third for a while. Doucoure's shot from outside the box is wayward but the pressure's still on. Sarr crosses in and Liverpool get it away. Sarr tries again but this time Deeney's offside.
20' Doucoure gets the corner away but only as far as Oxlade-Chamberlain. The midfielder dinks it over the top for Salah, who hits the side netting with a shot from a tight angle.
19' Robertson bustles his way into the box from the left. Kabasele comes across to prevent him from completing a cross. Shortly after, Robertson attempts a ball from deep and Kabasele slashes it out for a Liverpool corner.
17' Liverpool are struggling to break Watford down at the moment. Watford have all their players behind the ball and are making it hard for the visitors to find space in the final third.
15' Watford get another opportunity! Deulofeu plays a lovely one-two with Deeney to beat Alexander-Arnold and cuts back for Doucoure. Doucoure looks to have an easy finish but van Dijk makes a crucial block! Watford get a corner which Liverpool clear.
13' Watford have dealt well with Liverpool's threat in this opening period. Sarr wins a free-kick on the right as he's clipped by Fabinho.
11' Deeney finds himself in space down the left. He's got two teammates to his right and tries to find them but Wijnaldum gets in the way. Liverpool eventually clear. Watford are finding joy by making runs behind Alexander-Arnold at the moment.
10' Chance for Watford! Doucoure feeds Deulofeu, with Alexander-Arnold allowing the winger to check inside a little too easily. Deulofeu lets fly with his right foot from just inside the box. It whizzes just over the crossbar. Not far off.
9' Alexander-Arnold wins Liverpool's first corner of the game off Deulofeu. Deeney does well to head it away. Masina tries to send Deulofeu through with a ball over the top but there's too much power on it for the Spaniard to catch.
7' Alexander-Arnold clips the ball down the line with his left foot for Oxlade-Chamberlain who's timed his run well. Oxlade-Chamberlain lays back out wide to Alexander-Arnold, who can't keep his cross in play.
5' Watford will have to remain disciplined for large parts of this game. They're stuck mostly in their own half at the moment as Liverpool get a feel for the ball.
3' Deulofeu whizzes towards the box from the left flank. The Spaniard cuts onto his right foot and has a pop from outside the box. His effort curls wide of the left-hand post.
1' Liverpool go on the hunt early on as Salah looks for a teammate in the box. Watford clear. Watford's success today will depend on their ability to keep players like Salah and Mane quiet.
1' This game gets underway!
The two sides are out on the Vicarage Road pitch now. It's a cracking atmosphere here in Watford.
Since losing 3-0 in their first meeting under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have had Watford's number. Watford haven't won their last eight Premier League meetings with Liverpool, losing the last four by an aggregate score of 15-0. In fact, under Klopp, Liverpool have scored more goals against Watford - 27 - than they have against any other Premier League team. Watford's recent home form has been strong though - can the Hornets sting the league leaders?
Watford make two changes from their 3-0 defeat by Man Utd last week. Femenia comes in at right-back for Dawson, and Sarr starts ahead of Pereyra. There are two changes to Liverpool too from their win over West Ham. Lovren makes his first Premier League start since early December as Joe Gomez is out injured. Oxlade-Chamberlain comes in for Keita.

Watford host the champions-elect here in search of a result which would help haul them out of the relegation zone. Time is running out for Nigel Pearson's team to scramble to safety. However, with Liverpool conceding more goals in their 3-2 victory over West Ham last time out than they had done in their 11 previous league games combined, the Hornets may just have the faintest chance.
Four more wins. That's all that Liverpool need now to secure the Premier League title that has long eluded them. Having won their last 18 Premier League games, another victory here for Jurgen Klopp's men would set a new English top-flight record for consecutive victories.
