That's all from Southampton today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
Saints are still waiting for their first Premier League victory of the 2021-22 campaign, while Wolves have now won each of their last three away games against them at St Mary's.
The difference between two mediocre sides today was the superb centre-forward play of Jimenez in the second half, as his self-created goal wins Wolves a valuable three points on the South Coast. Southampton, meanwhile, drop down to 16th following a timid performance lacking punch in the final third.
90' + 4' Jimenez stutters and deliberates too long when played clean through on goal, allowing McCarthy to close down the angle and stop a seemingly certain second Wolves goal from the Mexican's tame shot. That would have finished it!
90' + 2' A free-kick from deep causes Bednarek to over-stretch and head harmlessly behind. Ward-Prowse has suffered a rare off-day from dead ball situations so far.
90' Southampton are getting nowhere fast at St Mary's, as attack after attack crumbles after a substandard final ball. They do have six minutes of stoppage-time to make something materialise, though.
Rúben Neves
Hwang Hee-Chan
88' Hwang comes off to be replaced by Neves for the final few minutes. Lage is trying to eke this win out by any means possible.
K. Hoever
Nélson Semedo
87' Having briefly returned to the field, Semedo is withdrawn by Wolves and Hoever is on to shore up the visitors' back line.
84' Jimenez clears his lines from a Southampton corner, but Saints recycle the ball and Wolves are forced to sit deep inside their defensive third. Their strategy is clear - what we have, we hold.
82' Semedo sinks conveniently to the turf, where he receives lengthy treatment for an apparent foot injury. Salisu and Bednarek are particularly vocal in their complaints to the referee.
80' Long pokes a presentable chance wide of the left-hand post, via a deflection, as Wolves hold firm. Excellent work from the tricky Djenepo out on the left side during the build-up.
78' Armstrong concedes a frustrating free kick for a foul on Jimenez in his own half, as Wolves attempt to run down the clock.
76' Having come on in this second half, Traore has already recorded 49 successful 'take-ons' in the Premier League this season - more than double that of any other player. Five have ended with a shot and six with the creation of a chance - he’s yet to score or assist, though.
S. Long
K. Walker-Peters
74' Hasenhuttl rolls the dice, as Walker-Peters is hauled off and veteran striker Long comes on for the final 15 minutes.
73' Semedo is caught by the studs of Walker-Peters, who lunges at the ball inside the Wolves box, but the Portuguese full-back is quickly back on his feet.
Adama Traoré
Daniel Podence
71' Podence takes the maximum amount of time available to slink off to the sideline, with the distinctly more rapid Traore brought on to replace him and run a tired home defence ragged.
68' A comfortable save for Sa, with Ward-Prowse attempting a shot on goal from a free-kick out on the left, at an improbable angle. A hint of desperation about that effort from the Saints skipper.
66' Ward-Prowse has his cross cut out by Coady, as Southampton hurriedly attempt to forge a decent scoring opportunity.
M. Djenepo
N. Redmond
64' Redmond is withdrawn by Southampton, with Djenepo sent on with a brief to make or score the equaliser.
A. Broja
C. Adams
64' Ralph Hasenhuttl reacts immediately to falling behind, as the ineffective Adams is brought off for Broja.
R. Jiménez
61' VIVA RAUL! Dancing through the static Southampton defence, Jimenez slots into the bottom of the net from near the penalty spot, having created the opening goal almost single-handedly by controlling a long ball up from his goalkeeper. The Wolves striker is back in business, to the delight of the away fans! Southampton 0-1 Wolves!
José Sá
61' Sa receives a rare award of an assist, as his long ball is won bravely by Jimenez, who then demonstrates great composure to break the deadlock.
58' A rapid Wolves break on the right sees the visitors work a cross from the touchline into the area, but Saints block and clear the ball from just a couple of yards out. It feels like a goal could finally be coming our way!
56' Sa makes a brilliant double save as Southampton get on top early in the second period, but the offside flag is raised in any case.
55' GOOD SAVE! A move started in their own half sees Livramento receive the ball on the right side of the box and strike cleanly at the Wolves goal from 10 yards out, but Sa does well to get down low and save.
53' Now Southampton have a corner, despite Sa's desperate attempts to prevent the ball going behind. However, when it breaks to Redmond, his cross lacks accuracy and floats harmlessly into the gloves of the goalkeeper.
51' Wolves have the first corner of the second half, which they play short to Podence, who finds Dendoncker. The Belgian midfielder's shot lacks conviction though and is blocked just inside the area.
49' Traore is warming up languidly near the touchline, and will surely be invited to make an impact on this meandering affair sooner rather than later.
47' The pedestrian pace is continuing in Southampton, as the home side pass around under little pressure from their visitors, but also pose no attacking threat.
46' We are back under way at St Mary's, where we await the game's first goal.
The visitors seem bereft of confidence on their rare incursions into the Southampton area, as Jimenez continues to struggle for service - so Bruno Lage will surely be considering changes, with Traore and Trincao both available on the bench.
Lacking any kind of composure or quality in the final third, both sides are almost trying too hard, with a precious three Premier League points on the line against a mid-table rival. Southampton have enjoyed more prolonged spells of territorial advantage, but will have to move the ball quicker if they are to disturb a solid-looking Wolves defence after the interval.
45' A long-range attempt by Elyounoussi is blocked on the edge of the box by Coady, but Southampton retain possession and keep pressing to create an elusive goalscoring chance.
43' Wolves finally break down the other end, and force Bednarek to concede a corner on the left, but Marcal's delivery is woefully short of the target and the opportunity is lost.
41' Working a yard of space outside the Wolves box, Armstrong swerves a central shot straight at Sa, but at least Southampton have started working the opposition goalkeeper.
39' A delicious delivery from Elyounoussi finds Redmond free in the area; the winger chests down and shoots on the turn, but the flag is then raised for offside.
38' Coady intervenes sharply to stop Adams latching on to a low ball from Livramento, just outside the six-yard box.
36' From the free-kick, Ward-Prowse's cross ultimately falls to Romeu, who thumps a wayward effort into the massed ranks of Wolves supporters behind the goal.
35' Impressive so far on the right, Livramento is felled 30 yards from goal and earns Ward-Prowse an opportunity to work his set-piece magic.
32' The home side are now pressing forward on a deep-sitting Wolves defence, with both full-backs high up on their respective flanks. Still no real penetration from either side, though.
30' Wolves have lost seven of their last eight Premier League games, but are today seeking to secure back-to-back away wins in the top flight for the first time since a run of three in June 2020.
28' Adams gets off a speculative shot from outside the box, but Sa is untroubled in making a simple save.
26' Having landed awkwardly after a coming together with Bednarek, Wolves striker goes down clutching his neck. He is quickly back to his feet, though, and the referee decides to play on.
24' Now Wolves are growing in confidence, with their hosts twice forced to intervene and clear for throw-ins near the left corner flag. However, they cannot forge a clear-cut chance.
22' Southampton survive a series of errors on the edge of their box, with Wolves' pressing causing them to dither and choose the wrong option several times.
20' A swinging Redmond cross from the left frustratingly drifts wide of the right post, as both Southampton strikers make near-post runs and fail to capitalise on a dangerous ball.
18' Neither of these sides has a enjoyed a particularly fruitful 2021, as Southampton have the fewest points (21) and fewest wins (5) of any side in the Premier League this calendar year, while Wolves have failed to score in more league games (12) since the end of 2020 than any other current top-flight side.
16' A quick-passing move by Saints sees them breach the Wolves defence, but as Adams feeds Armstrong - who attempts to turn and shoot inside the area - the offside flag is raised.
14' A hurried pass by Podence prematurely ends a promising Wolves move and Southampton can clear on the edge of the box.
12' Podence hits the deck under a mistimed challenge, earning a free-kick near the centre circle, which allows Wolves to assert some authority for the first time in a few minutes.
10' Southampton are calmly building up from the back, controlling the game at this stage, following their fortuitous early escape.
8' Before kick-off today, Southampton had won just one of their last 10 league meetings with Wolves - a 3-1 home win in April 2019.
6' Ward-Prowse floats a free-kick, earned after Wolves gift the ball away carelessly at the back, towards Bednarek at the far post, but Sa goes down hurt and the referee blows up for a foul.
4' Marcal and Elyounoussi both go down to the turf just outside the Wolves area, having clashed heads in an aerial challenge. After a brief delay, the pair are cleared to return to the field.
2' Almost an early away goal! Southampton have had a let-off, as McCarthy is forced to save well from an attempt by Semedo on the right side of the box.
1' We are under way in Southampton!
The players are out at a sunny St Mary's, and kick-off is just moments away!
Wolves have Rayan Ait-Nouri missing today due to Premier League concussion protocol, while Yerson Mosquera, Jonny Castro and Pedro Neto - scorer of the winning goal when these sides last met - also sat out the trip south. Up front, Hwang Hee-chan starts alongside Daniel Podence in support of Raul Jimenez, with Adama Traore confined to the bench.
Though Southampton's Theo Walcott is now back in first-team training, today's match comes too soon for the former Arsenal winger, while Jack Stephens faces spending the rest of the year on the sidelines with a knee injury suffered against Manchester City last weekend. Hasenhuttl brings several familiar faces back in after making changes for the EFL Cup contest with Sheffield United, and Mohamed Salisu comes in for Stephens at the back.

Wolves suffered a penalty-shootout defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, with Spurs winning on spot kicks following a 2-2 draw at Molineux. A day earlier, Southampton had progressed to the next round of the competition courtesy of a shootout success over Championship side Sheffield United.
Saints occupy 15th position in the table, but held champions Manchester City to a goalless draw last weekend, while Wolves sit just one point and one place below today's opponents in the early standings.
Hello and welcome to coverage of the Premier League encounter between Southampton and Wolves at St Mary's Stadium!
