Sevilla will play either Wolves or Olympiacos in the next round of the Europa League, pending the result of their contest tonight. Roma now wait for the start of the new campaign for their next outing.
Sevilla advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa League courtesy of a 2-0 win over Roma this evening. Sergio Reguilon put them ahead with a fine run and finish before Youssef En-Nesyri notched their second following excellent work from Lucas Ocampos on the counter. The Italian outfit could not muster a response in the second half and finished the game with 10 men when Gianluca Mancini was dismissed for clattering Luuk de Jong with his arm. A good night for Julen Lopetegui, who sees his team through to the next round with relative ease.

OFF THE BAR! Banega comes within inches of scoring Sevilla's third goal. He lifts his strike over the wall towards the top-right corner. Lopez is beaten all ends up, but the ball cannons off the bar and bounces clear.

Munir goes down on the edge of the box under pressure from Perez. Sevilla have a chance to notch the third goal to kill off the game.
There has been no shortage of effort tonight from Roma, but the quality has not been there in the final third.
Ocampos tries to thread a pass through to En-Nesyri in the final third. The forward tries to keep the ball alive, but cannot stop it heading out of play.
Pellegrini goes into the book for dissent. He has to be ushered away from the referee to avoid a second yellow card.
Munir fouls Mancini and gives away a free-kick in the Roma half. Pellegrini is not thrilled by the failure of the referee to book the Sevilla winger.
Dzeko tries to attack Spinazzola's delivery to the back post, but he can only send his effort behind under pressure from Carlos.
En-Nesyri works his way down the left flank and draws a foul from Cristante to win a free-kick.
Munir clips the resulting free-kick into the box where Kounde rises to head at goal, but he sends his effort straight at Lopez.
Reguilon wins a free-kick down the left after being brought down by Perez. It allows the Spanish team to take further time off the clock.
Munir sprays the ball out wide to Ocampos and the winger does brilliantly to keep the ball in play. He wins a corner for Sevilla, playing it off the legs of Spinazzola.
Perez tries to force the issue in the final third, but he sees his tame header travel through to Bounou. It's just not happening for Roma this evening.
Villar replaces Kolarov for the Italian side.
Fernando has a clash of heads with Dzeko and requires treatment on the field before the match can continue.
Lopez has a couple of scares at the back, but Munir is unable to capitalise twice as the Italian outfit scramble the ball clear of danger.
Kounde is just offside as his body sticks out beyond Kolarov's. Roma have a reprieve in the contest.
OFFSIDE! Sevilla have the ball in the net for a third time, but Kounde sees his effort chalked off for offside. Munir hammers a low ball across the face of goal towards Kounde at the back post. The defender guides his effort past Lopez, but the flag is raised. VAR will take a look at the incident.
Ibanez has to make an intervention at the near post to divert Navas' cross away from the lurking presence of En-Nesyri in the middle. Sevilla still have a corner to threaten from.
WIDE! Pellegrini clips the ball into the path of Dzeko in the box. The striker takes an effort on the turn on his right foot. He guides the ball past Carlos, but it travels comfortably wide of the target. Frustration for the Roma forward.

En-Nesyri wins a free-kick down the left that Banega swings into the box. It clips the head of Cristante and travels behind for a corner.
Sevilla are absorbing the pressure from the Italian's outfit bid to break back into the contest. Lopetegui's men have performed well this evening in their defensive duties.
Pellegrini breaks through the middle of the Sevilla midfield and clips the ball over the top looking for Perez. The ball bounces off the surface and into the hands of Bounou.
Carlos goes into the book for a challenge on Peres.
Carlos wipes out Peres on the charge, but the referee plays advantage. Perez charges forward, only to be halted by a solid challenge from Jordan.
SAVE! Banega lifts a ball over the top of the Roma defence for the run of Ocampos in the left inside channel. He tries an ambitious bicycle kick in the air, but drills his attempt straight at Lopez.
Pellegrini comes on to the field to replace Zaniolo.
Perez makes his way on to the field to replace Diawara.
WIDE! Kolarov bursts forward into space in the Sevilla half and launches his effort towards goal, pulling his strike well wide of the target.
Roma have found life since the restart, but need to find their clinical edge in the final third.
Mkhitaryan weaves his way past Navas and cuts the ball back towards Cristante in the middle. The midfielder takes too long decide whether to shoot or not and is closed down by Kounde.
Ibanez takes a knock for the Italian outfit and needs treatment before the game can continue.
CLOSE! Dzeko offloads into the feet of Mkhitaryan and the winger goes for goal on his right foot towards the bottom-right corner. He curls his effort towards the net, but it travels inches wide of the target. Better from the Italian outfit.
Dzeko opts against an early strike after finding space on the right flank. He pulls a cross back to Spinazzola, who tries to take on Navas down the left. However, he's unfortunate as the ball bounces off his legs and travels out for a goal-kick as he passes the Sevilla skipper.

Edin Dzeko has been a bystander in the first half as the Italian outfit have not been able to supply their main man. Lorenzo Pellegrini and Diego Perotti could be readied in the second half to provide support that has been fleeting from Nicolo Zaniolo and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Sevilla are 45 minutes away from securing their place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, holding a 2-0 lead over Roma at the break of their clash. Sergio Reguilon put the Spanish outfit ahead with a brilliant surging run and finish. Lucas Ocampos then teed up Youssef En-Nesyri from close range to notch their second. Paulo Fonseca's men have been poor to say the least and need a fast response in the second half to salvage their hopes.

Ocampos does brilliantly down the right flank to latch on to Fernando's offload before beating Ibanez's challenge. He keeps his composure to pick out En-Nesyri to score.
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! EN-NESYRI CONVERTS FROM CLOSE RANGE!!! 2-0 SEVILLA! Fernando releases Ocampos down the right flank and he skips past the challenge of Ibanez. He sends a low ball across the face of goal for the run of En-Nesyri, with Lopez stranded out of his net. The forward makes no mistake directing his effort first time over the line. The Spanish outfit are in complete control.
Navas angles a cross in from the right flank on his left foot. En-Nesyri stoops to connect with a low header, but it lacks the power to trouble Lopez, who scoops up the ball with ease.
The Italian outfit cannot string a series of passes together. Dzeko and Zaniolo are spectators in the Sevilla half here.
Carlos goes in with a challenge on Zaniolo, but the Italian outfit do not get the free-kick. Roma need to bring the winger into the game in the final third.
OVER! Dzeko turns neatly in the box, but loses out in a challenge with Carlos. Zaniolo gathers the rebound, but sees his effort deflected over the bar by Kounde.
Roma are still off the pace in the contest and need to force the issue to get their foot on the ball.
Ocampos threads a ball through to Navas in the final third. However, the Sevilla skipper takes a heavy touch past Lopez and is unable to catch it before it trickles wide of the post.
Bounou has to race off his line to beat Dzeko to a pass back Navas. The keeper does well to offload it back to the Sevilla skipper.
Spinazzola makes a break down the left flank and he clips a cross into the middle. It's easy for Bounou to claim without a Roma player in the vicinity.

WHAT A GOAL!!!! REGUILON SCORES A STUNNER!!!! 1-0 SEVILLA! The Spanish side take the lead courtesy of a super effort from the left back. He takes a sublime touch forward to break into space from Banega's offload. Reguilon surges forward into the box and past Mancini before slotting his effort past Lopez into the net. A fine effort from the Spaniard.
Navas weaves his way into space and delivers a cross in from the right flank. En-Nesyri rises highest in the box to head at goal, but he glances his attempt harmlessly wide of the post.
Dzeko catches Jordan in the face with a stray arm. The free-kick goes the way of the Spanish side in their own half.
The ball ricochets around the Roma box following a corner by Banega. Ocampos tries to swivel to fire a strike at goal, but the Italian side have enough men around the ball to crowd him out.
It's not easy out there for Roma at the moment. The Spanish outfit have come out with a positive intent and pressing Fonseca's men all over the pitch.
OFF THE BAR! Banega swings a perfect delivery in from a corner on the left. Kounde rises highest in the box with a free header, but can only strike the bar with his effort. A golden opportunity is spurned.
Banega sends a dangerous cross towards the run of Suso, but Spinazzola tracks his run and clears the ball away.
The game has been played at a good tempo in the early stages. Sevilla have been more active in the final third, taking the game to the Italian outfit.
Dzeko controls the ball beautifully in the Sevilla half and then tries to release the run of Zaniolo. However, he just overhits his throughball into the hands of Bounou.
SAVE! Ocampos cuts in from the left flank and powers an effort towards goal on his right foot. Lopez has to be alert to tip the ball over the bar.
Reguilon weaves his way past two players down the left flank. Mancini has to time his challenge to perfection to send the ball behind for a corner.
Ocampos finds space down the left flank and he digs out a cross to the back post, which Spinazzola has to head away from danger.
En-Nesyri forces a low strike towards goal from the edge of the box, but it's comfortable for Lopez to get down to save to his left.

This will be the first ever competitive meeting between Sevilla and Roma; Indeed, Sevilla have won each of their last two encounters against Italian opposition, beating Lazio both home and away in last season’s Europa League last 32.
Roma have made eight changes from the side that beat Juve 3-1 in their last outing. Only Ibanez, Zaniolo and Cristante retain their spots in the side. Lopez comes back into the team between the sticks, while Mancini and Kolarov slot into the back three. Peres. Diawara and Spinazzola occupy a four-man midfield with Cristante. Dzeko leads the line with Zaniolo and Mkhitaryan in support.
Sevilla have made four changes to their side from their win over Valencia last time out. Banega, Fernando, En-Nesyri and Suso all come into the fold, with Torres, De Jong and Munir dropping to the bench. Nemanja Gudelj misses out after testing positive for coronavirus and is in isolation.

Roma fell short of the Champions League places in Serie A, placing in fifth in the table despite their impressive end to the campaign. I Lupi won seven out of their last eight matches, including a victory away to Juventus on the final day of the campaign. Paulo Fonseca will be determined to qualify for the Champions League through the Europa League. Therefore his side have to be at their best tonight.
Sevilla are officially the home side this evening, although the contest is being played in Germany. The tie has been cut down to one leg, with the winner advancing to the quarter-finals. It has been three weeks since Sevilla's last game when they defeated Valencia on the final day of the LaLiga campaign. Julen Lopetegui's men finished fourth in the table and have already qualified for the Champions League, but will want to add another Europa League crown to their collection of five titles.
