Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Norwich are next in Premier League action after the international break against Everton on the road on November 23, while Watford host Burnley on the same day.
Watford secure their first Premier League win of the campaign to move off the bottom of the table. Gerard Deulofeu handed the Hornets the perfect start to the contest when he seized on a mistake from Emiliano Buendia and raced through the Norwich defence to slot an effort past Tim Krul. The Canaries were unable to muster a response and then conceded a cheap goal early in the second half that effectively killed off the game. Andre Gray got ahead of Jamal Lewis to convert Deulofeu's cross into the box from the left flank, with the ball finding the net with the aid of a deflection. Even though Watford were reduced to 10 men for the final 25 minutes as Christian Kabasele was sent off for two bookable offences, Norwich were unable to unlock the visitors' defence enduring a frustrating evening in front of goal. The result sees Daniel Farke's men replace Watford at the foot of the Premier League and now winless in seven matches, while the Hornets move up to 18th place.

Norwich City
86' Vrancic goes into the book for his challenge on Capoue.

71' Poor from Cantwell as he clips his delivery from the corner out of play without troubling the Watford defence.

67' Lewis gets the better of Deulofeu down the left flank, but he fails to pick out a team-mate with a cutback into the box. Frustration for the home side.

Yellow 2nd/RC
Watford
65' OFF! Kabasele lunges in on Drmic with a needless challenge and is given his second yellow card by Marriner. Watford are down to 10 men.

Norwich City
62' Drmic is on for Stiepermann in the final third for the Canaries.
T. Cantwell
E. Buendía
Norwich City
62' Cantwell replaces Buendia for the home side.
60' OVER! Dawson heads Buendia's corner as far as Pukki on the edge of the box. The striker goes for a first-time strike, only to place his volley over the bar. It's just not going for the Finn at the moment.
59' Janmaat takes a risk at the back as he clears a deep cross from Buendia out for a corner. Norwich flood the box with bodies.
59' Deulofeu has now been involved in six goals in just two Premier League apps in Friday games (four goals, two assists).
58' Capoue is down for the visitors after falling to the ground awkwardly in a challenge with Trybull.
57' Stiepermann almost threads the needle to release Hernandez in the left inside channel, but Dawson just gets across to make the intervention on the slide.
56' Lewis and Janmaat collide down the flank and there is a little bit of afters between the two players. The referee speaks to Janmaat for shoving a finger in the face of the Norwich left-back.

Deulofeu
Assist
Watford

A. Gray
Goal
Watford
52' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! GRAY DOUBLES WATFORD'S LEAD!!!! 2-0!!! The Hornets double their advantage and once again it's not great defending from the hosts. Deulofeu raids down the left flank and digs out a cross into the middle. Gray makes a run across Lewis and sticks out a leg to divert it towards goal. The ball strikes off the leg of the defender before nestling into the left-bottom corner. A huge goal for Watford.
51' Trybull loses out in the Norwich midfield and it almost allows Janmaat to release Deulofeu, but Tettey gets across to make the interception.
C. Kabasele
Yellow Card
Watford
49' Kabasele brings down Hernandez on the left flank and goes into the book. That could be a factor in the second half to monitor given how successful the winger was in the first period against the Belgian and Janmaat.
47' Doucoure lines up an effort from distance, but he sees his attempt diverted behind by Aarons. However, the home side are able to clear the resulting corner from Deulofeu.
47' Norwich have lost 28 of their last 29 Premier League matches when losing at half-time, drawing the other with Everton in December 2015.
46' We're back underway at Carrow Road.
Daniel Farke will be desperate for his side to find their clinical edge in the final third. They've been impressive on the ball, especially with Hernandez down the left flank. However, when they opportunities have presented themselves the home side have snatched at them. it's a hallmark of a team that is struggling for form, but all they could need is one break in the second half to get them back into rhythm.
Watford hold a 1-0 lead at the break against Norwich City in their Premier League clash at Carrow Road. The Hornets were gifted their goal when Emiliano Buendia lost possession in his own half. Gerard Deulofeu was allowed to surge into the box before slotting a low effort past Tim Krul into the left-bottom corner. The contest was end-to-end from that point onwards as both teams spurned good opportunities. Deulofeu and Andre Gray put attempts wide, while Buendia and Onel Hernandez failed to convert on decent openings in the final third. There should be more goals in this game based on the way the sides approached the opening period.
45' + 4' HALF-TIME: NORWICH 0-1 WATFORD
45' + 3' Pukki latches on to a cross from Aarons in the right inside channel, but he sees his effort saved with ease by Foster.
45' + 3' Buendia and Pukki go for the one-two on the edge of the box, but the ball just does not fall for the Argentine.
45' + 1' Buendia's corner is not cleared by the visitors as Gray fails to connect with his blast away. Pukki collects and goes for a strike, but it's tame and straight at Foster.
45' There will be three minutes of added time.
45' Stiepermann combines with Aarons to tee up Pukki in the box, but Kabasele gets across to divert his effort behind for a corner. The Belgian gets a sore one on the leg from the forward in the process.
42' Deulofeu is now down for the visitors. Flores will not want to lose his other creative outlet in the final third.
40' Farke will not be too disappointed with his side's performance in the first half. They've created plenty of opportunities, but they've not been able to apply the finishing touches.
38' CHANCE! Buendia spurns a decent opening. Hernandez and Pukki combine down the left to tee up the Argentine in the middle. He strikes at goal on his left foot, but he can only send his attempt high and wide of the target.
37' Buendia threads the needle to try to release Hernandez in the gap between Kabasele and Janmaat. However, on this occasion, Kabasele wins the battle and then earns a free-kick for the visitors.
36' Both teams are wide open at the back. Hughes is the latest player to go for a drive at goal, but he pulls his attempt harmlessly wide of the target.
35' SAVE! Hernandez again orchestrates another threatening Norwich move. He beats Kabasele with ease before lifting a cross into the middle. McLean connects with a close-range header, only to guide his effort straight at Foster.
34' Norwich cut open the visitors down the left flank. Hernandez latches on to Buendia's throughball and cuts a pass back for Stiepermann, but the German cannot take it in stride in the middle.
33' CLOSE! Watford probe down the flanks. Janmaat's cross evades Gray, but Hughes gathers on the left. He works it back across to the striker, who turns to fire at goal, but Godfrey does enough to divert it past the post.
A. Gray
R. Pereyra
Watford
31' Pereyra is forced off with his knock the ankle and is replaced by Gray.
30' McLean sends another dangerous throughball behind Janmaat, but on this occasion Hernandez is caught offside as he latches on to the pass.
29' Norwich are one of three teams without a home Premier League clean sheet this season, along with Liverpool and Southampton.
28' Pereyra is down with a knock, which will give both teams a chance to breath after an action-packed 28 minutes.
26' The game continues at a frenetic pace. Pereyra wins the ball in the Norwich half and gets the better of Lewis. However, after surging forward he cannot pull the trigger amid yellow shirts tracking back. The Hornets keep the attack alive and Doucoure comes forward down the right. He bundes his way past one challenge before seeing his left-footed strike from the right inside channel deflected into the hands of Krul.
25' Hernandez latches on to a cutback into the box from Pukki. He takes a touch, but he cannot make a clean strike with his effort. Norwich have to find a clinical edge.
24' It's end-to-end action as Trybull wins a corner down the left flank. However, Buendia's deep cross is cleared by the visitors.
23' WIDE! Hughes wins the ball in the final third for the Hornets. He has space and time to line up a drive at goal, but he stabs his attempt wide of the target.
21' CHANCE! Stiepermann threads a pass through for Hernandez in the final third. He takes the ball in stride, but Foster races off his line to make a block on the edge of the box. However, the Watford keeper cannot gather it outside of his penalty area and Pukki pounces. The Finn goes for the quick strike on the turn, but Kabasele makes a vital block to deny the forward.
20' PENALTY SHOUT! Buendia releases the ball into the path of McLean in the box. He goes down under pressure from Holebas, but referee Andre Marriner is unmoved.
19' WIDE! Buendia puts the delivery on the money and the ball is headed towards Tettey at the back post. However, the Canaries skipper snatches at the strike and sends it wide of the post.
18' Norwich win a free-kick in a threatening position as Stiepermann is brought down by Capoue. Buendia will lift the cross into the box.
17' Watford have lost just one of previous nine away Premier League games when scoring first under Quique Flores - at Norwich in May 2016 (2-4).
16' McLean releases Hernandez down the left flank and he looks for an early cross into the middle for Pukki. Cathcart does well tracking back to clear behind for a corner otherwise the Finn would have had a tap-in from close range.
14' Hernandez twists and turns to open up room for a low cross into the middle, but he sees his delivery cleared away by Janmaat ahead of Pukki.
12' CHANCE! Norwich are cut open down the right flank and Janmaat's cross just evades Pereyra in the middle. Hughes keeps it alive and tees up Deulofeu for a strike, but he curls his effort wide of the target.
11' Hughes gets himself into a good position down the left flank, but under pressure from Aarons he loses the ball out of play.
11' Holebas collects in space on the left flank and he goes for an early drive at goal, only to see his effort repelled by Aarons.
9' Deulofeu's goal after 76 seconds is Watford's second fastest Premier League goal of all time, behind only Etienne Capoue's goal against Leicester in November 2016 (32 seconds).
8' Foster almost gets caught out at the back as he clears down field. Pukki puts the pressure on and he just gets the ball away in time.
6' Buendia sends a low cross into the box from the left flank, but he sees his delivery cleared by the first Watford defender. It has not been a great start from the Argentine.
5' Hernandez makes a runs down the left flank for the hosts and he wins a corner off the legs of Janmaat. It has been a frenetic start to the game.
4' OVER! Watford probe again down the left flank and win a corner. Holebas lifts the ball into the box for Janmaat to attack, but he directs his header over the bar from the near post.
Deulofeu
Goal
Watford
2' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! DEULOFEU PUTS WATFORD AHEAD!!!! 1-0!!! What a start for the Hornets as Deulofeu races through the Norwich defence and slots an effort past Krul into the left-bottom corner. Buendia loses out to the Spaniard in the middle of the park and the Watford man surges forward. He breaks into the box and opens up room to strike on his left foot, burying his effort into the back of the net.
1' We're underway at Carrow Road.
Norwich have won three of their last four league meetings with Watford (L1), with this the first such encounter since a 4-2 victory in May 2016 in the Premier League.
Watford have made three changes to their side from their defeat to Chelsea. Holebas, Hughes and Capoue come back into the fold for the Hornets as Gray, Masina and Chalobah drop out of the starting line-up. Pereyra and Deulofeu will spearhead the attack for Flores' men.
Norwich are unchanged from their defeat at the hands of Brighton last time out. Pukki continues to lead the line, supported by Buendia, Hernandez and Stiepermann. Godfrey and Tettey anchor the backline, with Aarons and Lewis starting in the full-back positions.
WATFORD SUBS: Heurelho Gomes, Adrian Mariappa, Troy Deeney, Adam Masina, Nathaniel Chalobah, Andre Gray, Kiko Femenia.
WATFORD (5-3-2): Ben Foster; Daryl Janmaat, Christian Kabasele, Craig Dawson, Craig Cathcart, Jose Holebas; Will Hughes, Etienne Capoue, Abdoulaye Doucoure; Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra.
NORWICH CITY SUBS:  Sam Byram, Mario Vrancic, Todd Cantwell, Josip Drmic, Ralf Fahrmann, Ibrahim Amadou, Dennis Srbeny.
NORWICH (4-2-3-1): Tim Krul; Max Aarons, Alexander Tettey, Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis; Tom Trybull, Kenny McLean; Emiliano Buendia, Marco Stiepermann, Onel Hernandez; Teemu Pukki.
Watford have endured a worse start than their opponents to the season, failing to win any of their opening 11 matches of the season. The Hornets have taken five points, drawing five contests, but the victory has eluded Quique Sanchez Flores' men. They suffered a 2-1 defeat last time out at the hands of Chelsea, despite earning a contentious penalty late on. There has been a slight improvement since the arrival of Flores in September, but the Hornets need to start winning games.
It's early in the season to say the contest is a six-pointer, but it's one both sides certainly have to win to break them out of their respective slumps. Since their triumph over Manchester City in September, the Canaries are winless in six matches, losing five of those games. Daniel Farke's men were beaten last time out by Brighton and Hove Albion on the road, leaving them four points adrift of safety in 19th place. It's a very important game for the home side tonight.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Norwich City and Watford at Carrow Road.
