Commentary

That's all from us tonight folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
England will now face either France or the United States in their semi-final in Lyon on Tuesday, who face each other in Paris on Friday.
England are into the semi-finals of the World Cup after a 3-0 victory over Norway. They led 2-0 at the break, after goals from Scott and White but they could've been further ahead. Bronze then made it three with a phenomenal strike after 57 minutes, drilling into the back of the net after a short free-kick. Norway then had a few chances to get back into the game after some sloppy mistakes at the back by England and Bardsley was called into action to deny Hansen and Herlovsen, with Utland also seeing her strike cleared off the line by Houghton. England then should've made it four but Parris saw her penalty saved by Hjelmseth after a push on Houghton in the box. However it didn't matter as England saw the game out to reach back-to-back World Cup semi-finals.

Goal
57' GOOOAAALLL! What a strike by Bronze to make it 3-0! The right-back isn't picked up on the edge of the penalty area as Mead drills the ball out to her and Bronze scores a phenomenal goal, firing into the back of the net from 20 yards out. It's almost straight at Hjelmseth, but there is too much power on it.

46' The second half is underway!
Norway are yet to have any chances at goal, with Bardsley not having a save to make so far. Hansen and Saevik have looked dangerous at times, but the England defence look comfortable and will be very pleased with their opening half performance. Norway need to show more attacking intent.
England lead 2-0 at the break and they got off to the perfect start, with Scott firing them ahead after just three minutes. Bronze did really well down the right wing, she pulled the ball back to White, who missed the ball and it fell to Scott who fired into the bottom corner. Goal

39' CHANCE! Parris gets in at the far post after a deep cross into the box by Kirby, the winger sneaks in ahead of Minde. However, Parris heads the ball into the ground which takes much of the power away from the header and Hjelmseth makes a good save from close range. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
38' Norway have lost nine of the 12 previous Women's World Cup matches in which they have conceded first (W2 D1).
36' Almost! Bardsley almost gets caught out at the back after a pass back to her by Bright, the England keeper takes a heavy touch and Hansen almost nicks it away from her. However, she just manages to slide in and clear the danger.

31' Blocked! Reiten breaks forward and the space opens up for her in front of goal to take a shot. She drills the ball low and hard, but Stokes manages to get back and makes a good block. The Norway players appeal for a penalty for handball, but nothing is given by the referee.
29' OFF THE POST! So close to a second for England! White finds space in the box as she's fed the ball by Parris, she then powers a shot towards the far corner but it strikes the post and bounces out wide.
28' Still no Norway chances at goal so far, Bardsley has had very little to do in the England goal, with her defence dealing with everything comfortably so far.
26' England are getting into some really good positions, but their final ball has been poor with a few too many sloppy passes taking the pace out of the game.
24' Excellent break forward by Parris, she gets fouled as she sprints free but White picks up the loose ball so the referee plays the advantage. However, White is forced wide after some good defending by Thorisdottir and Norway manage to get players back in position and the opportunity goes away.
23' England have never lost a Women's World Cup match after scoring the first goal (excluding penalty shootouts), winning 12 and drawing two of 14 previous such occasions.
21' CHANCE! Parris should double England's lead! The winger cuts inside from the right wing, she gets to the edge of the six-yard box and tries to curl the ball into the top corner, but she gets too much on it and it flies high over the bar. A pass to White or Kirby in the box would've been the better option.
20' The pace has dropped slightly in the last few minutes, with England producing a couple of sloppy passes which is handing the ball straight back to Norway.
18' England are back in control of possession, just taking the sting out of the Norway attacks. Parris and Bronze are linking up well down the right wing and are causing a few problems early on.
16' Good opportunity! Minde gets forward down the left wing and finds space behind Bronze, she chips the ball into the box, but Engen takes a bad touch and has to play it back to Saevik. The right winger then tries to take on Bright, but she dribbles it out of play.
14' This is more like it from Norway, they've managed to keep the ball better and restrict England's attacking threats going forward. Hansen looks very lively up front for Norway.
12' Norway and England have faced twice previously at the Women’s World Cup – Norway won 2-0 in the group stage in 1995, while England won 2-1 in the Last 16 in 2015.
10' Mistake by Mjelde as she tries to deal with a long ball over the top, she plays a pass back to her keeper but it doesn't have much pace on it and White almost nicks it away. However, Hjelmseth was quick to the danger and just gets to the ball in time.
8' The ball is drilled out to Bronze from the corner, she then whips a deep ball into the box, but it's too close to the keeper who makes a good catch.
7' England corner. Parris takes on Minde down the right way, she races past the Norway left-back, but her opponent does well and manage to make a tackle to divert the ball out of play for a set piece.
5' England are continuing to keep the ball and they are pressing forward in numbers looking for a second goal early on. Norway have struggled to get a touch on the ball so far.
L. Bronze
Assist
3' Bronze shows great skill and strength down the right and she picks of White perfectly, her missed kick then allows it to fall straight into the path of Scott.
J. Scott
Goal
3' GOOOAAALLL! What a start by England, they lead 1-0 after just three minutes! It's a terrific run down the right by Bronze, she gets all the way to the byline and just manages to keep the ball in play and pulls it back towards White, who mistimes her kick and instead it falls straight into the path of Scott, who fires the ball towards the bottom corner, it strikes the post and then trickles over the line.
1' Positive start by England! They kick-off and get the ball forward into the Norway final third straight away, with Stokes whipping a good cross into the box, but White is unable to get on the end of it. It's headed out of play by Thorisdottir, but the referee awards a goal-kick.
