Milan have to recover from their disappointment in their next Serie A outing against Genoa on the road on Wednesday. Sassuolo face another tough test in their next match at home to Napoli on the same day.
Milan suffer a second defeat on the bounce in Serie A as Sassuolo come from behind to record a 3-1 victory at San Siro. Alessio Romagnoli put the Rossoneri ahead, but the visitors responded through a stunner from Gianluca Scamacca. Scamacca was again in the action to put Sassuolo ahead when his goalbound strike was diverted past Mike Maignan by Simon Kjaer. Domenico Berardi then continued his impressive record against Milan by scoring a third with a fine run and finish. Matters then got worse for the hosts when Romagnoli was dismissed for a professional foul on Gregory Defrel, capping off a disappointing afternoon.

Sassuolo hold a 2-1 lead over Milan at the break at San Siro in their Serie A clash. Berardi launches a dangerous delivery into the box from the right corner. Raspadori heads towards goal, but his effort is cleared off the line by Hernandez. Diaz works a short pass to Hernandez from the corner that sees the Frenchman whip a dangerous cross for the run of Romagnoli. 13' Milan are loose on the edge of their own box and allow the visitors to threaten. Frattesi sees an effort charged down before Kyriakopoulos's strike is blocked by the legs of Kjaer.
11' HERNANDEZ IS OFFSIDE AGAIN! Milan break on the counter as Leao runs at the Sassuolo defence. He offloads to his left, but Hernandez moves a fraction too soon and is caught offside. The Frenchman's cutback into the middle was deflected away from Ibrahimovic anyway.

7' OFFSIDE! Diaz flicks a throughball into the path of Ibrahimovic and the offside flag stays down at first. The Swede runs through on goal, but sees his effort turned over the bar by Consigli. However, the flag does go up late for offside.

5' BLOCK! Florenzi probes down the right flank and delivers a dangerous cross into the box. It is cleared as far as Bennacer on the edge of the penalty, who fires at goal. However, his blast is repelled by Ayhan.
3' OFFSIDE! Bennacer hooks a ball to the left flank for Hernandez to steer into the box. Muldur does just enough to prevent Ibrahimovic from having a tap-in, although the goal would not have counted anyway as Hernandez was just offside.
1' We're under way at San Siro.
After going unbeaten for nine straight league games against Sassuolo (W7 D2), Milan lost their most recent game against the Neroverdi. The last time they suffered two consecutive defeats in this fixture was in 2015, with Filippo Inzaghi on the bench.
Sassuolo have made three changes to their side from their draw against Cagliari. Muldur and Kyriakopoulos come into the side at the full-back positions, while Henrique starts in the middle of the park. Toljan, Rogerio and Traore all drop to the bench this afternoon.
Milan have made six changes to their side that beat Atletico in the Champions League during the week. Maignan ousts Tatarusanu between the posts, while Florenzi replaces Kalulu at right-back. Bakayoko and Bennacer get the nod in the middle of the park as Tonali and Kessie miss out. Olivier Giroud is injured and is replaced by Ibrahimovic as the spearhead, and Krunic drops to the bench as Leao returns.
SASSUOLO SUBS: Francesco Magnanelli, Rogerio, Federico Peluso, Abdou Harroui, Vlad Chiriches, Jeremy Toljan, Hamed Junior Traore, Giacomo Satalino, Gianluca Pegolo.
SASSUOLO (4-3-3): Andrea Consigli, Mert Muldur, Kaan Ayhan, Gian Marco Ferrari, Georgios Kyriakopoulos; Davide Frattesi, Maxime Lopez, Matheus Henrique; Domenico Berardi, Gianluca Scamacca, Giacomo Raspadori.
MILAN SUBS: Ciprian Tatarusanu, Fode Ballo-Toure, Sandro Tonali, Andrea Conti, Pierre Kalulu, Daniel Maldini, Junior Messias, Rade Krunic, Matteo Gabbia, Pietro Pellegri, Franck Kessie, Antonio Morante.
MILAN (4-2-3-1): Mike Maignan; Alessandro Florenzi, Alessio Romagnoli, Simon Kjaer, Theo Hernandez; Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ismael Bennacer; Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao; Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Sassuolo are sitting in mid-table ahead of the contest, but are entering the match in a poor run of form. Alessio Dionisi's men are winless in their last three matches, but halted a run of back-to-back defeats after drawing against Cagliari in their last outing. Sassuolo did take the lead twice in the draw to spurn the opportunity of taking the three points. Dionisi and his men know they will have to be flawless against Milan today.
Milan enjoyed a massive result during the week as Junior Messias' late header against Atletico Madrid kept their Champions League hopes alive with a 1-0 victory. Stefano Pioli's men now turn their attention back to Serie A and the title race where the Rossoneri need to respond after suffering a 4-3 defeat to Fiorentina last week. Milan are still level on points with Napoli at the top of the table, but will want to re-affirm their standing amid growing competition from Inter and Atalanta.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Serie A clash between Milan and Sassuolo at San Siro.
