And that will do it from San Siro! A tremendous game of football that saw goals arrive like buses - one after the other, barely giving us time to catch our breath! Milan looked dead and buried at 3-1 with just over 20 minutes to go, but an incredible comeback with three goals in 11 minutes saw them recover their lead and the points. Sassuolo must feel gutted. That's all the time we've got, thanks for tuning in!
D. Biondini
Yellow Card
Sassuolo
Another booking late on here for Sassuolo, as Niang tries to waste some time on the ball against Biondini, who is having none of it, and trips up the striker, giving Milan a chance to run out the clock.
M. Politano
Yellow Card
Sassuolo
The referee has some work to do here after Sassuolo burst forward on the counter, with Acerbi, of all people, taking a tumble in the box. Politano, feisty all game, leads the protests after no penalty was awarded, and the referee books him for his complaints.
A free-kick for the visitors leads to some concern in the Milan ranks. They take some time to set up the wall, but it's played short to Politano at the top of the box, and his cross is grabbed by Donnarumma.
Suddenly, Sassuolo are the side trying to hunt a late goal to take something from this game. Milan are running interference at every possible opportunity and have to be careful they don't get booked for timewasting.
Ricci tricks his way down the right-hand side and stands a cross up towards the back post, but none of his teammates are in position to attack it, making it an easy grab for Donnarumma.
A. Poli
C. Bacca
Milan
Poli is given a late appearance for Bacca.
P. Iemmello
Lorenzo Pellegrini
Sassuolo
That's the end of the game for Pellegrini, with Iemmello entering the fray.
DARLING DONNARUMMA! A cross into the box causes Milan all sorts of problems, and they only succeed in clearing it to the top of the box, where Politano hammers a splendid volley that is met by an equally commendable one-handed save.
Twelve minutes ago, Sassuolo were 3-1 ahead and Milan seemed to be completely out of ideas. Where has this turnaround come from? Montella looked a beaten man not too long back, now he's presiding over one of the games of the season.

C. Adjapong
Sassuolo
Adjapong is off for Ricci.

What an impact from Niang, having a hand in two goals!

INCREDIBLE SCENES! Milan have taken the lead! After Consigli saved the effort from the free-kick, the corner was played short, and Niang hung a great ball to the back post where Paletta crashed in a tremendous header!

FREE KICK TO MILAN right on the edge of the penalty area! Niang has proven to be an inspired substitution, as his direct running is too much for Pellegrini, who wrestles him to the turf! He gets booked to boot.
M. Locatelli
Goal
Milan
THEY'VE ONLY GONE AND DONE IT! Locatelli is the hero off the bench as he brings Milan back from the dead! A corner was only cleared to the top of the box and the substitute bangs in a terrific half-volley to make it 3-3.
Milan are pumping the ball forward now at every opportunity, hoping for Sassuolo to make a mistake that allows them in. This is going to be an intense last 20 minutes. Hold on to your hats.
C. Bacca
Penalty Goal
Milan
BACCA MAKES NO MISTAKE! The Colombian pummels the penalty into the bottom-left corner, with Consigli diving the wrong way! Game on now with just over 20 minutes to go!
D. Biondini
L. Mazzitelli
Sassuolo
Biondini is on for Mazzitelli.
L. Antei
Yellow Card
Sassuolo
PENALTY TO MILAN! Well just as I criticize it, one of those lonesome runs from Niang leads to a spot-kick after he was tugged back by Antei inside the box, with the defender also booked for his troubles.
Milan are pumping the ball for their attacking players, but they're all embarking on isolated runs, hoping for something to turn in their favour. Quite simply, its boring stuff from the home side.
Where do Milan go from here? They're trying to rush things to inject a bit of tempo into proceedings bu there's no plan and no coordination between both sets of players. This is poor.
Milan look absolutely shell shocked out there and are struggling to get Sassuolo off the ball. The visitors are in absolutely no hurry now - taking their sweet time to restart play whenever the ball goes out.
M. Locatelli
R. Montolivo
Milan
The disappointing Montolivo has been taken off for Locatelli.
In something of a carbon copy of the first half, we have a pair of goals right after each other about 10 minutes after the start of the period. Only difference is that this time, Sassuolo were on the end of both! Is there any way back for the Rossoneri?
G. Defrel

Sassuolo
Good awareness for the striker to lay that one back for Pellegrini.

IT'S 3-1 TO SASSUOLO! Pellegrini, provider moments ago, takes matters into his own hands this time, exchanging a one-two with Defrel before shaking past Gomez and burying a lovely finish!

Nifty cross from the midfielder.

Goal
Sassuolo
SASSUOLO HAVE ANOTHER ONE! The visitors win a corner which is played short, and Pellegrini hooks the ball into the box, where Acerbi beats the offside trap and volleys home completely unmarked!
Suso shifts the ball onto his left foot and curls it towards a dangerous area, but Consigli is there to parry it away from goal just as Bacca was closing down to apply the finishing touch!
R. Montolivo
Yellow Card
Milan
Montolivo is shown a yellow card for fouling Magnanelli.
Milan are trying to start the second half the way they ended the first - on the front foot. Niang tries to wriggle his way into the box, but he's cut out by Acerbi just as he was about to release the ball.
Milan win a free-kick on the very edge of the area. After taking their time to set up the opportunity, the ball is blasted into the wall, before Bonaventura hammers the rebound off the mark.
M. Niang
Luiz Adriano
Milan
Adriano didn't have much to say in that first half, and Niang is his replacement.
Here we go again.
That's the end of the first half and it's all square between Milan and Sassuolo. Bonaventura's opener lasted a matter of seconds, before Politano responded with an opportunistic leveller after a mistake at the back. It's been all huff and puff since, with this one looking like it will go down to the wire. Stay tuned for the restart shortly.
Sassuolo take their time to restart the game from a throw in, eating up what little time is left in the first half. Just as Milan regain the ball and try to break, the referee signals for half-time to the fury of the Rossoneri and their fans.
It's a sign of the renewed focus from the home side that Kucka wins a header that he had no right to against Letschert down the right-hand side. The Rossoneri are pushing hard - will they find another goal before the break?
Milan appear to be ending the first half with a flurry, as they've fashioned three decent openings in the last six minutes or so. The way this is going, Sassuolo will be happy to hear the whistle.
DESPERATE BLOCK! Consigli tips a cross back into play and Bonaventura charges it down from just inside the box with the keeper vulnerable, but Magnanelli throws his body in the way!
From the opposite flank, Abate has control of the ball and hoists in a telling cross that isn't met with any kind of proper connection by Adriano, who started his jump too late. Still, the deliveries are improving for the Rossoneri.
Wow. Bacca will want to forget that one quickly. De Sciglio had advanced down the right and hooked a cross that bounced to the striker at the top of the box. He swings wildly at it and sends it almost into a floodlight.
Politano once again shows incredible hustle, closing down Donnarruma who holds him off roughly before booting the ball clear. The striker is furious that he was denied a call again. Whether it was the correct decision or not - great energy from him!
Politano, bursting with confidence after that goal, tries to steam between two defenders. He's bodied by De Sciglio, but the full-back had nowhere else to go. The referee took that into consideration and decided not to award the penalty.
Consigli takes control of a raking delivery from Suso. So far, the Milan front three haven't had much influence on proceeding, with Bacca looking isolated despite the hosts committing men forward.
Sassuolo seem to be inviting Milan to come at them, but with the explicit purpose of sucking their men upfield and breaking quickly. They may want to be careful about trying too hard to play out of the back though.
Mazzitelli takes aim from the edge of the area as the ball sits up nicely for him and Milan fail to close down the space. It takes Donnarumma two bites of the cherry to save that effort at full stretch though!
C. Adjapong
Yellow Card
Sassuolo
In fact, Adjapong gets booked for a handball on that play.
GOAL RULED OUT! Sassuolo have the ball in the back of the net again, but Adjapong is adjudged to have used his arm to convert that cross. Pretty blatant, actually, and the officials were quite right to call that one out.
Milan are far too predictable whe they're on the ball. They're trying to get their full-backs activated down the flanks, but Sassuolo are having no problem swarming them out in those positions.
Some detailed but ultimately sterile possession from the home side, as they struggle to really find the pass that puts one of their attacking players in space. Sassuolo defending well for now.
Politano is put on the run again thanks to a ball down the channel, but Gustavo Gomez is out to cover the Sassuolo man and put out that fire. The visitors have some confidence on the break now.
This game has stormed into life now with two goals within seconds of each other! Milan will be kicking themselves that their advantage didn't last even a minute, plus the fact that the equaliser was so preventable.
M. Politano
Goal
Sassuolo
SASSUOLO ARE BACK LEVEL ALMOST INSTANTLY! Abate will have to take the blame for that one, as he gifted the ball to Politano, who did the rest to beat Donnarumma!
M. De Sciglio

De Sciglio was the man to set Bonaventura on his way.

BONAVENTURA BREAKS THE EADLOCK FOR MILAN! The midfielder did it all on his own, picking up possession, advancing into the area and burying his finish!
Sassuolo are really struggling to get out of their own half as Milan continue to get numbers forward. There's no apparent plan of attack yet from the Rossoneri though, with space tough to come by.
Milan have dominated the ball almost from the first whistle, but are content to play it slow for now, biding their time in their own half. Good noise inside San Siro to start this one.
We're up and running!
Luis Adriano, Ignazio Abate and Gustavo Gomez return to the starting XI for the home side, with M'Baye Niang, Alessio Romagnoli and Davide Calabria making way. For the visitors, Eusebio Di Francesco also makes three changes, as Luca Antei, Claud Adjapong and Luca Mazitelli begin the match.
Sassuolo (4-3-3): Consigli; Pol Lirola, Antei, Acerbi, Letschert; Pellegrini, Magnanelli, Mazzitelli; Politano, Defrel, Adjapong.
Milan (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Abate, Paletta, Gomez, De Sciglio; Kucka, Montolivo, Bonaventura; Suso, Bacca, Adriano.
Sassuolo have lost three straight games on the road, including a 2-1 reverse in Belgium against Genk during the Europa League midweek. They've struggled for goals this season, scoring only six in as many league games.
AC Milan started the season with two defeats in their opening three games, and were somewhat fortunate last time out against Fiorentina to escape with a 0-0 draw after they were outplayed. Vincenzo Montella's men are already five points off the pace.
