Commentary

Palace see things out to claim their first win of the season and end Boro's unbeaten start to 2015-16. Zaha was the star of the show, setting one up for Benteke before converting early in the second half to seal the points. Ayala's header was not enough for the home side. That's all from us, thanks for tuning in.
90' + 6' The set-piece is headed clear and Boro can't get it back in the box in time!
W. Zaha
Yellow Card
90' + 5' FREE-KICK! Boro win a set-piece right on the edge of the box that will surely be the last kick of the game. That was inches away from being a penalty, and Zaha gets booked for the foul on Friend.
90' + 3' Deep into the five minutes of added on time shown by the fourth official and Boro continue to hammer at the Palace door. Downing takes aim from long range once again, but can't find the target.
90' Traore tries to conjure something out of nothing as he skips around Kelly, but runs down a dead end. Boro throwing everything at Palace but for the moment, the visitors are hanging on.
88' MAGNIFICENT SAVE! Mandanda has responded with flying colours whenever he's been called upon, and he parries a stinger from Ramirez on the left-hand side, before Kelly just about bundles the rebound over before Negredo can pounce! Boro want a handball against the defender but the referee waves play on.
86' Not a whole lot happening out on the pitch in terms of goalmouth action. This will suit Palace just fine, as they look to close out their first three points of the new Premier League season.
J. Benteke
C. Benteke
84' Jonathan Benteke comes on for his Palace debut but doesn't get a chance to play alongside his brother Christian - since that's the man he replaces.
M. Flamini
J. Ledley
84' Double sub from Pardew, and we finally see Flamini enter the fray to shore up the midfield for the last few minutes.
J. Ward
Yellow Card
82' Strange situation here. Flamini was set to come on as a sub, but he was instructed to take his wristband off. That held things up, which Boro saw as timewasting. Ward, who was next to the fourth official, was infolved in that muddle and comes out of it with a yellow card.
Adama Traoré
C. Stuani
81' Traore is on and off goes Stuani. Karanka makes his last change.
79' Middlesbrough are pushing more men forward, but they're being frustrated at every opportunity by the visitors - who still have to be a little mor composed in possession here.
Lee Chung-Yong
A. Townsend
77' Lee has been called upon to replace Townsend.
76' BAD FIRST TOUCH! Friend had time and space arriving on the ball at the back post, but he pushes it too far ahead of him and the defence is allowed to get themselves in the way. Great work from Ramirez to set that chance up.
74' Another penalty claim that goes unheeded by the referee. This time it's Middlesbrough who are appealing as it appeared that Dann used his arm to intervene on the ball, but play went on.
72' Chance down at the other end now as Ramirez finds space on the left-hand side to attack, but his cross towards Negredo has too much mustard on it and goes out of play. The striker was in a good position too.
70' ONTO THE ROOF OF THE NET! Puncheon lifts a corner to the near post where Dann gets the step on Friend and flicks it towards the back post, where Delaney charges in to meet it, but can't keep it down!
68' Palace try to build an attack but are forced to play it all the way back to Mandanda to rebuild. Boro are holding a better defensive shape and preventing the easy service to Benteke for now.
66' Ramirez invites Ayala forward, and the defender nearly picks out the substitute with a hooked cross, but it's cleared well by the defence. Signs of life again from Middlesbrough here in the second half.
64' Negredo looks to be alright and ready to continue. Less than half-hour to go here and it's still Boro trailing Palace thanks to that early second-half goal from Zaha. Subs are warming up on the sidelines.
62' Negredo collides with Ward and goes down in a heap. It looks like there's some blood, and the game is stopped temporarily to tend to the striker. The medical staff try to patch him up.
G. Ramírez
Yellow Card
60' Ramirez has only been on the pitch for a few minutes but he's already recieved a booking after tossing the ball away angrily. He thought he had won a corner, but only a goal-kick was awarded.
58' Dann has been active in the box when attacking set plays, but he hasn't found the target much. Another Puncheon delivery finds him creeping at the back post, but he again fails to trouble the kepeer.
M. de Roon
A. Clayton
57' Substitution Adam Clayton Marten de Roon
G. Ramírez
V. Fischer
57' Ramirez is introduced for Fischer.
56' STINGER! Boro, having failed to pass their way into the box, have opted to try their luck from long range, with Gibson sending a piledriver Mandanda's way from all of 30-35 yards, which is diverted away from goal!
54' Not many chances now as the game becomes bogged down in the middle of the park. Palace are still the side looking more poised on the ball, but they're unable to move it into the final third for now.
51' Downing, who we haven't seen much of from open play, bursts into life with a 25-yard effort that skims wide of the mark. Boro came back once from a goal down, can they do it again?
49' Crystal Palace wasted no time in restoring their advantage on the scoreboard to match their dominance on the pitch. What will bite at Boro is the fact that both goals came as a result of defender mistakes.
W. Zaha
Goal
47' IT'S ANOTHER ONE FOR PALACE! McArthur sprays a pass inside of Friend, but the defender seems to have it under control. However, Zaha nips in behind him to swipe possession and convert!
46' And we're back!
And that will do it here for now as both sides enter the half-time break all square at one apiece. Benteke opened the scoring deservedly for the visitors with a thumping header over Ayala, but the defender struck gold at the other end with an aerial goal of his own to bring the hosts level against the run of play. It's finely poised for the second half, so stay tuned!
45' + 1' NEARLY A STUNNING END TO THE HALF! Negredo is put through on goal just outside his man, and uses all of his pace to gather half-a step to shoot, but his finish is thwarted by the keeper!
44' Barragan and Stuani exchange passes to open up space on the flank, and the latter storms into a great position, but is caught in two minds and eventually delivers a soft cross that is gobbled uo by Mandanda.
42' Palace force the issue again from the high ball as a corner is picked up by Townsend, whose shot is thwarted by the defence. Ward attacks the loose ball but it's well over. Boro living dnagerously.
40' Middlesbrough got some wind in their sails from that goal, but were nearly chopped back down to size after Townsend's free-kick causes problems deep in the area, before they eventually clear.
S. Downing
Assist
38' Downing's corner set that one up for Ayala.
Daniel Ayala
Goal
38' AYALA TIES IT UP! The defender was outjumped for the opener but showcases his ability in the air with a towering leap to direct a corner into the back of the net!
36' Somewhat ironic cheer from the home fans as Mandanda comes off his line to clear away a shoddy back-pass from Kelly. That's about as good as it has been for them in this game so far.
33' Middlesbrough really haven't been able to get Negredo involved in the game, in complete contrast to the way that Palace are using Benteke. Both strikers will be key to their team's respective seasons.
31' Palace still have all the momentum in this game, and it's clear that they're looking to utilise Benteke's mismatch against the Boro defence at every opportunity. He's winning all of the high balls.
29' Middlesbrough finally start to come out of their shell, putting some pressure on the opposition down the right-hand side and winning a free-kick in a good position, but it comes to nothing.
27' From a corner, Benteke wins the initial ball again, but his flick across the face of goal finds no takers among his teammates. There's danger every time that Palace get the ball into the box.
25' GREAT SAVE BY VALDES! Zaha is excellent on the right-hand side, taking two defenders out of the equation before squaring a low ball for Benteke. The goalscorer holds off his man before laying it off for Townsend to hammer on goal from the top of the box, but it's pushed wide by the keeper!
22' Dann and Ayala battle for a corner, with claims of a penalty by the Palace defender, but doesn't get any call from the referee. The visitors are dominating things in the final third here.
20' Boro finally manage to work a spell on the ball, but not much comes of it. There's always the danger too that Palace will break at pace the more the home side get sucked into the opposition half.
18' In basketball, you would call that being posterised. Benteke was a foot above Ayala to attack that cross. Boro need to sort themselves out as their adherence to a defensive shape has not worked.
C. Benteke
Goal
16' THERE IT IS! Benteke powers the visitors into the lead as he positions himself at the back post, leaps all over Ayala and plants a header into the back of the net!
W. Zaha
Assist
16' Great vision by Zaha to float that cross to the back post.
13' Palace are looking the better side here in possession, but Christian Benteke hasn't had a whole lot of luck despite being the target for virtually every ball launched into the penalty area.
10' Middlesbrough are keeping a very disciplined shape as Palace begin to get into their stride. Apart from that opportunity for Negredo, the home side really haven't had a sniff at goal so far.
8' Palace do a shoddy job of clearing a ball into the box, which falls kindly to Negredo on the edge of the area. However, the forward can't process that in time and rushes a shot off the mark.
5' Now there's a chance for Palace as they win their first corner of the match. Puncheon flights in a corner that finds Dann relatively unmarked, but the defender can't direct his header on target.
3' Good start here from the home side, who are passing the ball with zip, already forcing an early corner that puts the Palace defence under pressure. The fans are enjoying themselves as well.
1' Off we go!

Boro drew with Stoke and West Brom either side of a 2-1 victory over rivals Sunderland to make it three games without losing on their return to the top flight. They have lost only one of their last 10 home games in the Premier League.
