United host Tottenham Hotspur during the week before travelling to London to lock horns with Chelsea at the weekend. Newcastle host Everton during the week before also travelling south to take on Tottenham at the weekend.
Neither side could break the deadlock in the end. Newcastle saw the better of the first-half but it was United who looked sharper in the second - although neither side had quite the necessary quality to score a breakthrough goal and take what was a pretty flat, unexciting game by the scruff of its neck. Rashford had a great chance to win the game at the death.

54' Antony plays his way out of a sticky situation and buys a useful foul.
52' CHANCE! Fernandes plays in his compatriot Ronaldo in a great position only for Trippier to knock the Portuguese off balance and prevent him from getting a shot off.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Yellow Card
Manchester United

36' Joelinton is back on his feet and play has resumed.
34' Joelinton is down and receiving treatment.

30' Wilson and Martinez exchange words after an incident off the ball. Varane intervenes to play peacemaker.
28' Shaw finds Ronaldo in a good position - the Portuguese lifts the ball over Pope with the help of a deflection but the ball is cleared before it hits the back of the net. In any case, Ronaldo was offside.
