Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye.
It is now 10 games undefeated at the start of the Premier League season for Liverpool, who rise to the top of the table with Manchester City facing Tottenham on Monday. Klopp's side will face a tougher test next time out away at Arsenal, while Cardiff will hope to bounce back when they host Leicester.
Three points and another large margin of victory for Liverpool but Klopp's side were made to work for it. Salah's first-half goal opened the scoring and the Reds' saw their advantage extended by Mane after the restart. Paterson's effort for Cardiff looked to have given the visitors hope but it proved to merely be a consolation as late efforts from Shaqiri and Mane put the scoreline beyond any doubt.
90' + 1' The fourth official has signalled three minutes of additional time.
89' Liverpool are now cruising and have a comfortable margin after their dominating performance. While it may have taken them a while to hit their stride, there is no doubt the Reds deserve all three points.
Mohamed Salah
87' Salah is certainly back at his best, now boasting three goals and two assists in the past seven days!
S. Mané
87' GOOOOOAL! It's four for Liverpool! A brilliant counter sees Salah thread a superb pass through the Cardiff defence for Mane to pounce upon, chipping over Etheridge for his second goal of the game.
86' Just as it seemed Cardiff could find a way back into the game, Liverpool turn up the heat and have surely now put the tie beyond any doubt.
Mohamed Salah
84' Brilliant from Salah, who has not had it all his own way here against a stern Cardiff side. A goal and an assist caps off a decent performance though.
X. Shaqiri
84' GOAL! 3-1! Liverpool extend their lead! Salah feeds through Shaqiri and he shifts the ball onto his left foot, then firing home his first goal for the club and a strike that brings a halt to the rising pressure in the game.
K. Zohorè
B. De Cordova-Reid
Cardiff City
83' A final roll of the dice from Warnock as Cardiff make a change in attack, replacing Reid with Zohore.
81' Salah appeals for a penalty under a challenge from Bennett but the referee sees the incident in a different light and awards the Cardiff defender a free-kick.
79' Paterson's effort is the first Premier League goal Liverpool have conceded at Anfield since Michail Antonio's for West Ham back in February, ending a run of 918 minutes without conceding.
C. Paterson
Cardiff City
77' GOAL! Cardiff pull one back and it's 2-1! Hoilett's low ball into the area is deflected kindly into the path of Paterson, who pokes past Alisson to hand the visitors a glimmer of hope.
76' The tempo of the game has dipped as we head into the closing stages, with Liverpool seemingly home and dry.
K. Harris
J. Murphy
Cardiff City
74' Another change for the visitors sees Harris replace Murphy.
L. Damour
A. Gunnarsson
Cardiff City
73' Cardiff's turn to make a change now, as Gunnarsson is replaced by Damour.
J. Milner
Roberto Firmino
71' Second change of the game for Liverpool, who bring Firmino off and replace him with Milner.
70' Lovren and the Liverpool supporters are furious as Murphy appeared to be guilty of a dive but the referee decides not to take any action against the Cardiff man.
68' A huge goal for Liverpool, coming in a period where nerves had started to rise, and that should now be enough to secure all three points.
S. Mané
66' GOAL! 2-0! Liverpool double their advantage and it is a superb hit from Mane. It looks like he has lost possession after being tackled by Ecuele Manga but he does not give up, charging onto the loose ball in the area and smashing a ferocious shot past Etheridge.
65' Cardiff will be very pleased from their performance since the restart but there is still a lot of work to do, as Liverpool push back onto the front foot.
63' Another penalty appeal for Liverpool is turned away by the officials, which is causing discontent from the home support, but their side still looks comfortable despite the scoreline only being a narrow one.
X. Shaqiri
A. Lallana
61' First change for Liverpool sees Shaqiri brought on to replace Lallana.
61' Moreno appeals for a handball after his cross hits Hoilett but the referee only points for a corner. Salah's delivery is poor from the set-piece and is easily cleared away at the near post.
60' Murphy is still not moving comfortably but he is fortunately able to return to the field as the game enters the final half hour.
58' A break in proceedings as Murphy receives treatment after an awkward movement trying to play a pass through to Paterson, which is causing Cardiff some concern.
56' Camarasa takes another free-kick for Cardiff but this time his floated cross is hooked away by Fabinho.
54' The Liverpool faithful remain in a good voice but the advantage held by their side is not as comfortable as they would have liked. While Cardiff's deficit remains at just one goal, they have a chance of finding a way back into the game.
52' OFFSIDE! Lovren lunges into a tackle on Reid and concedes a free-kick in a dangerous position. Camarasa floats an inviting ball into the area where Morrison heads back across goal before it is bundled home but the defender moved too quickly and is flagged offside.
50' Murphy has been Cardiff's brightest spark in what has been a difficult start to life in the top-flight but he has struggled to get a foothold in the game so far.
48' Cardiff failed to have a single touch in Liverpool's box during the first half. There is clearly a lot of improvements needed in the attacking third.
46' Liverpool get the action back underway for the second half. As it stands, they are heading top of the Premier League.
So far, so good for Liverpool but Klopp will want his side to extend their advantage to erase any chance of a fightback from the visitors. Warnock will want his side to be more effective moving forward as the few moves that have seen Cardiff venture into the Reds' half have been wasted.
It has been easy for Liverpool so far as Klopp's side dominate proceedings but their huge advantage is yet to be reflected in the scoreline, as Salah's short-range effort is the difference at the break. Since then, Cardiff have done well to keep the Reds at bay although Moreno almost doubled the Reds' advantage moments before the whistle was blown.
45' + 1' OFF THE LINE! Morrison saves Cardiff from falling further behind right on the brink of half-time as he is on hand to clear Moreno's header off the line, with Etheridge already beaten.
45' There will be just a single minute of stoppage time at the end of the first period.
44' Murphy has the ball fired towards him in a dangerous position but he moved too soon and the offside flag is raised.
42' Firmino twists and turns on the edge of the area before firing an attempt at goal but his shot is no threat, floating over the crossbar.
41' Trent-Alexander takes the latest corner for Liverpool and floats the ball in to Van Dijk but his volleyed attempt flies way over Etheridge's bar.
39' Cardiff still remain firm defensively and are working extremely hard to try to put the Liverpool players under pressure when they have the ball.
37' Liverpool still dominate the proceedings and the possession statistics but they have not managed to add to Salah's early goal or create any further clear-cut chances.
35' Cardiff try to put the pressure on Liverpool as Gunnarsson floats a long throw into the area but the hosts stand firm.
33' Considering the pressure they have found themselves under, Cardiff will be very pleased with the response after falling behind and Warnock will be delighted if the deficit remains at only one for the interval.
31' Cardiff have started to be a bit more expansive as they try to carve a route back into the game but strong defending from Lovren brings an end to Camarasa's latest burst forward.
29' Alisson, looking to keep a seventh clean sheet from the opening 10 league matches this season, has the best seat in the house at the moment to watch Liverpool's dominating performance.
27' Another chance for Liverpool to pile the pressure on as they win another corner. Salah has three attempts to get the ball into the area before Cardiff eventually mop up the danger as Etheridge gathers near his line.
25' Liverpool have had 85% of possession in the opening 25 minutes at Anfield, which shows their dominance.
23' A first charge forward for Cardiff looks promising but Murphy's cross is wasted and easily collected by Alisson.
21' The visitors have everyone behind the ball as they look to limit the space but Mane and Salah continue to pop up in threatening areas, although they are being kept at bay for the time being.
19' Cardiff continue to struggle to clear their lines and a second goal for Liverpool seems inevitable.
17' All of the play has come inside the Cardiff half so far and the Reds are already cruising. It certainly looks like it is going to be a long afternoon for the Welsh side.
15' NO PENALTY! Salah is back to his brilliant best and is tearing Cardiff apart here. Moments after Etheridge charges off his line to clear a loose ball ahead of the Egypt international, the forward hits the deck inside the box under pressure from the defence but the referee is not interested in his appeals.
13' OFF THE POST! Liverpool inches away from doubling their advantage as Salah curls an inviting ball into the head of Van Dijk but the attempt bounces back off the frame of the goal.
12' Salah has now been involved in seven goals in his last six matches against newly-promoted sides, scoring four and contributing three assists.
Mohamed Salah
10' GOAL! 1-0 Liverpool! Alexander-Arnold's driven cross causes a scramble in the area as both Mane and Wijnaldum see shots deflected before Salah pounces to smash into the gaping net.
9' Liverpool's pressure in relentless and win another corner but Cardiff still manage to stand firm.
7' Salah fires a corner towards the near post but Reid is back on defensive duty for Cardiff and he manages to get the ball away.
5' Warnock, in his own words, said winning against Liverpool would be 'virtually impossible' and his side are struggling to get hold of the ball in the early exchanges.
3' The Reds are controlling the possession at the start of the game as they look to establish a foothold in the match.
1' We are underway at Anfield, where Cardiff get the game started.
The two teams are heading onto the field ahead of the start of the action.
Cardiff have not won a league match against Liverpool since a 4-0 victory at Anfield in December 1959.
Neil Warnock makes just one change to the Cardiff side that defeated Fulham last weekend, which is enforced due to Harry Arter's absence through injury. Hoilett steps into the side in his absence to make his first appearance since the defeat to Tottenham at the start of October.
Liverpool make three changes to the side that hit four past Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League earlier this week, drafting Moreno, Lovren and Lallana into the line-up. As a result, Gomez, Robertson and Shaqiri all drop to the bench.
Cardiff subs: Alex Smithies, Gary Madine, Loic Damour, Matthew Connolly, Kenneth Zohore, Greg Cunningham, Kadeem Harris.
Cardiff XI (4-4-1-1): Neil Etheridge; Bruno Ecuele Manga, Sean Morrison, Sol Bamba, Joel Bennett; Junior Holiett, Victor Camarasa, Aron Gunnarsson, Josh Murphy; Bobby Reid; Callum Paterson.
Liverpool subs: Simon Mignolet, Xherdan Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson, James Milner.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, Alberto Moreno; Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Adam Lallana; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.
Jurgen Klopp's side have barely put a foot wrong this season and come move top of the league, albeit perhaps only temporarily, with a victory against the Bluebirds. The visitors know they will be for a tough task but confidence will have increased following victory over Fulham last weekend - their first win of the campaign.
