Commentary

That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until the next one, goodbye!
That eventually resounding victory sees City return to the top of the table, after being briefly unseated by Liverpool's win over Newcastle. There's just one point in it, and this title race is set to go right to the wire. At the other end of the table, Leeds drop to 17th on goal difference after this loss is coupled with Burnley's late win over Watford. They're still five points ahead of 18th-placed Everton, but Leeds's leaky defence and worrying attack may see them slip further before the season's end.
Jesus' late goal was a just reward for all his work throughout the game. He had two shots on target, made five key passes, completed 25 passes in Leeds' half, and won four fouls to prove a constant thorn in Leeds' side.
The full-time whistle brings the game to an end, and despite it being end-to-end throughout, City's quality made their chances count, with the Citizens adding three goals in the second half to put the game well beyond Leeds' reach. Ake's goal saw Leeds rally again, but a late double from Jesus and Fernandinho saw Leeds' fire go out, and it's another big scoreline against the league's leakiest defence.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 0-4 MANCHESTER CITY.
Fernandinho
Goal
90' + 3' GOAL!!! City get another!!! Sterling goes down in the box, but the referee waves away any penalty appeals. Struijk only half-clears it through, as Fernandinho rifles it back in, and Meslier, despite getting a hand to it, can't keep it out of the bottom corner! 4-0, and it's only getting worse for Leeds.
90' + 1' SAVED!!! Raphinha puts Klich into space, who crosses from the right-hand byline. Gelhardt arrives late on the penalty spot, but his sliding shot is saved superbly by Ederson low to his left!
90' + 1' We're into three minutes of stoppage time at the end of this game.
90' WIDE!!! City slow it down and eventually work it to the right. Cancelo crosses and Jesus heads it back, but Gundogan's follow-up is inches wide of Meslier's left post!
89' BLOCKED!!! Gelhardt plays James through, and he rounds Ederson before Dias heads his shot off the line!!! Greenwood follows in, but Zinchenko's back to block his effort, and City clear their lines!
89' Grealish gets around Ayling and crosses from the left, but Meslier plucks the ball out of the sky.
87' SAVED!!! Cancelo's put through on goal and is in acres of space, but Meslier saves his low shot well and Leeds eventually clear it!
86' Klich wins the ball in midfield and drives forward. Support arrives and he plays it on for Gelhardt to cross, but it's deflected and blocked to safety by City.
85' Koch's all over Cancelo as he looks to collect a ball out of City's defence, and the German defender is penalised.
Fernandinho
Rodri
83' Opening goalscorer Rodri comes off for City, and Fernandinho replaces him at the base of midfield.
S. Greenwood
Rodrigo
83' Rodrigo's the next to come off for Leeds, and youngster Sam Greenwood will see out the game.
82' Silva is played in down the right and cuts inside to shoot, but it's cut out by Struijk and Leeds look to counter.
Bernardo Silva
P. Foden
80' Following that superb assist, Foden is withdrawn for Bernardo Silva to see out the game for City.
P. Foden
Assist
78' A beauty of a pass from Foden, and that was City's most controlled passing move of the half. They played straight through Leeds there.
Gabriel Jesus
Goal
78' GOAL! City have a third! Cancelo plays it inside to Foden, and Jesus escapes Ayling to receive the ball in space. His first touch sets him to shoot, and the second sees him fire it beyond Meslier to make it 3-0 to City! That might just be the goal that puts Leeds to bed!
78' Raphinha outmuscles Dias to win a long ball from Phillips, teeing up Harrison, but he can't pull the trigger before Rodri gets to it!
76' Cancelo looks to set himself up to shoot, but his eventual shot is blocked well by Struijk and Leeds clear!
75' BLOCKED!!! Gundogan finds Sterling, who cuts inside and shoots on his left, but Koch gets in the way of it!
74' James gets past Laporte and crosses for Gelhardt, but he's just a fraction behind it and the ball goes astray!
73' Raphinha's in-swinging corner is flicked on but is headed away, before Harrison's ball back in is cleared too!
72' BLOCKED!!! A Brilliant James flick sends Raphinha through on goal. He cuts inside Dias and Laporte before shooting, but a crucial Laporte block sends it over the bar for a corner!
70' Leeds attack in numbers and spread it from left to right, but Raphinha's final cross is a poor one that flies behind for a goal-kick.
João Cancelo
Yellow Card
68' Cancelo barges Rodrigo onto the floor off the ball, and is yellow carded by the referee.
67' OVER!!! Sterling's cross is only half-cleared by Koch, and Foden tees up Gundogan. His eventual shot is blocked, and it's deflected out to Zinchenko, who blasts over the bar from the edge of the box!
66' Klich turns and heads for goal and looks to find Rodrigo, but the forward slips and loses possession.
64' Leeds break from the corner and Rodrigo clips it over for Gelhardt, but Ederson races a mile out of his box to boot it into touch for City.
64' Sterling streaks down the right and crosses for Foden, but Koch's there to head it over the bar for a City corner.
J. Gelhardt
Junior Firpo
62' The booked Firpo comes off for Leeds, who bring on more attacking reinforcements in the form of Joe Gelhardt.
62' WIDE!!! Grealish evades both Ayling and Raphinha before feeding Gundogan, who shoots on goal but can't wrap his curling finish around the far post!
O. Zinchenko
N. Aké
60' Ake comes off injured soon after doubling City's lead, and Oleksandr Zinchenko will replace him.
58' City are unbeaten away from home in the Premier League since a 1-0 loss at Tottenham on the opening weekend. The Citizens have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four on the road – but they’ve never gone five consecutive away league games without conceding before.
56' A Jesus cross from the left is headed out to Cancelo, who fires it back towards goal but has his effort blocked!
Rúben Dias
Assist
54' Dias did well to evade Klich and win that header, putting it on a plate for Ake to tap home, and as it stands, City are heading back to the top of the table.
N. Aké
Goal
54' GOAL!!! City double their lead!!! Dias rises to head down the corner, and it's poked home at the front post by Ake!! 2-0 up, and City can start to relax a bit here!
53' Cancelo sprints down the right and fizzes a cross into the area, forcing Ayling to send it behind over the bar for a corner.
52' Sterling bursts clear on the right as City look to counter. He makes his way into the area, but his shot is deflected and Grealish can't make anything of it.
52' A wide ball from Ayling finds Harrison on the fly. His inside ball comes to Firpo, but his cross to Klich is deflected and City come away with it!
50' Leeds come forward again and Harrison passes wide to Rodrigo. His cross takes a nick off Cancelo, taking it straight into Ederson's gloves,
48' Leeds break and Firpo looks to play in Klich, but the pass doesn't stick and City come up with the ball.
46' Firpo races forward down the left and looks to cross into the area, but it's too high and clears Ederson's crossbar on its way behind.
46' Leeds kick off the second period, and we're back underway at Elland Road!
The teams head back out for the second half, and if it's anywhere as good as the first, we're in for a treat!
Rodri's early header is the difference between the sides at the moment, and the Spaniard has also made a key pass, won all of his aerial duels, and has won the ball four times, via an interception, tackle and a clearance apiece.
Well, what a half of football that was! 52 minutes long, owing to two lengthy injury delays, the latter of which saw Dallas stretchered off, but in between that the football was mesmeric. City's early goal didn't seem to phase Leeds, who attacked with purpose, and relentlessly, throughout that half. Their final ball let them down though, and if they're to turn this game around against a side as good as City, it needs to be much better, and their defence will need to tighten up too.
45' + 8' HALF-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY.
D. James
S. Dallas
45' + 7' Dallas is stretchered off, and Daniel James will come on for the injured Leeds man.
45' + 5' The stretcher is out for Dallas, and Leeds' already injury-hit squad could be about to get even thinner.
45' + 3' Dallas and Grealish collide on the right-hand side, and Dallas is down with what looks to be a nasty injury. We look set for another lengthy period of down-time here.
45' + 1' We're into four minutes of added time to close out this half.
45' Harrison dispossesses Rodri well and sets of up the field, but City win the ball back and come at Leeds once again.
43' Dallas catches Gundogan late and Rodrigo runs into space behind the defence, but the referee does eventually bring play back for a free-kick.
43' CHANCE!!! Ayling stumbles, letting Sterling get into shooting space. His first effort is blocked Jesus' way, and his follow-up is also blocked before Struijk picks up the pieces and finally clears for Leeds!
42' Grealish and Dallas fight for the ball again, with Dallas coming out on top. It looks a free-kick, but Grealish doesn't get one, and the home crowd are relieved there!
40' Ederson punches the ball away, but Dallas passes back into the danger area. It spills out to Raphinha, who crosses again, but City repel the Leeds pressure again!
40' Dallas plays in Raphinha down the right, and he crosses with his right foot. Laporte's in the way though knocking the ball behind for a Leeds corner.
38' SAVED!!! Cancelo picks out Jesus with a beauty of a ball from right to left, and the striker cuts inside before firing a low shot straight at Meslier!
37' Klich runs into space and crosses to Dallas, closing in at the back post. Gundogan gets there first, and Laporte clears under pressure from Raphinha.
36' Phillips counters and puts Raphinha into space. He drives into the box and cuts it across for Dallas, but he overruns the ball and City can clear!
35' Ayling shunts over Rodri, but wins the ball and finds Phillips. He looks to play in Raphinha, but it's just a touch behind him and the chance goes begging!
34' OVER!!! Ayling's cross into the area is headed out of the six-yard box, and Firpo picks it up in space before blazing his effort over the bar!
33' Harrison switches it wide to Raphinha, who keeps the ball in play and it comes back to Dallas. City clear, but Leeds' attacking spells are really firing the crowd up here!
32' Koch strides out of defence and well into City's half, but his chip through for Klich comes to nothing.
31' Grealish goes down in the box after losing out to Koch, and appeals for a penalty, much to the chagrin of the crowd and the denial of the referee.
30' Koch's wide ball to Dallas finds the wing-back in space, but he's penalised for being offside and City will take the free-kick.
29' City win a free-kick wide on the right, but Sterling's delivery is woeful and it rolls straight through to Meslier.
27' Leeds look to break through the front four, with Raphinha looking to play Klich through, but the Poland midfielder can't control it and Dias cleans up for City.
26' Dallas flicks the ball up off Ake's hand, but City are not penalised and proceed to win a corner off an Ayling deflection.
24' Leeds are winless in their last six home league games against reigning top-flight champions, since beating Arsenal 1-0 in May 1999 and effectively costing the Gunners the title that season.
22' Rodrigo and Klich link up in midfield with City's defence stretched, but Klich's wide ball to Raphinha sees the Brazilian caught offside.
21' Grealish goes down under pressure from Raphinha and looks to have won a free-kick, but instead a throw-in is given, albeit still in City's favour.
20' After a lengthy delay, both players return to the pitch safely and play can continue!
19' Both centre-halves are back on their feet, with Laporte staying on the pitch and Koch heading for the touchline, but both are able to come back on.
17' Koch is sat up but Laporte has barely moved, and it's looking likely that there'll be an enforced change from each side here.
15' After City appear to have dealt with the free-kick, Klich plays in Raphinha to cross for Koch, but Laporte meets it with a brilliant header away. The two have clashed heads though, and both are down just outside the City goal.
J. Grealish
Yellow Card
14' Grealish scythes down Dallas and concedes a free-kick, warranting a yellow card from the referee.
P. Foden
Assist
13' Foden whipped that ball in with venom, and the pace on the cross was all Rodri needed to nod it into the net.
Rodri
Goal
13' GOOAAALL!!! City take the lead!!! The free-kick is curled across the face of goal by Foden, and Rodri gets across his man to glance a header beyond Meslier and into the bottom corner! 1-0 to the reigning champions, and Leeds' frailty from set-pieces is exploited!
12' Sterling comes left and looks to take on Ayling, but becomes sandwiched between him and Dallas, with the latter penalised.
10' Laporte's long diagonal pass finds Sterling, who dribbles into the box and takes on Firpo. He looks to cross, but Firpo gets a foot in to deflect it behind for a corner.
9' Leeds have lost just two of their last nine home league games against Man City, doing so in consecutive meetings in December 1995 and September 2000. They’ve not played each other too often in the Premier League era.
7' The free-kick is swung into the Leeds box and Ake's competing for it with Struijk. It goes behind with Ake claiming a corner, but the referee gives a goal kick Leeds' way.
Junior Firpo
Yellow Card
6' Firpo pulls back Foden as he looks to turn away from the Leeds left-back, and is booked. That's his TENTH of the season so far!
5' City look to pass through the Leeds line and Foden has to come short for the ball, but is shunted over by Klich and wins a free-kick.
3' CHANCE!!! After Cancelo slips on halfway, Rodrigo races clear on the counter. He streaks away from Gundogan, but with Raphinha arriving in support looks to shoot and it's blocked! What a chance that was for the hosts!
2' Man City are looking to complete their first league double over Leeds since 1981-82, a season that saw the Whites relegated from the top-flight.
1' We are underway in West Yorkshire, via the boot of Jesus!
The teams head out onto the Elland Road pitch, and kick-off is just moments away!
Kevin de Bruyne is benched ahead of City’s Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid, and Jack Grealish is one of five to come into the team for this match.
A massive pre-game blow for Leeds sees captain Liam Cooper out of the starting XI after picking up an injury-in the warm-up, meaning a re-jig of their defence, a defence which is much less solid without the Scotland international.
MANCHESTER CITY SUBS: Zack Steffen, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Riyad Mahrez, CJ Egan-Riley, Luke Mbete, James McAtee.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Ake; Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan; Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling; Gabriel Jesus.
LEEDS UNITED SUBS: Kristoffer Klaesson, Diego Llorente, Daniel James, Lewis Bate, Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Cresswell, Sam Greenwood, Jamie Shackleton.
LEEDS UNITED (4-1-4-1): Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo; Kalvin Phillips; Raphinha, Stuart Dallas, Mateusz Klich, Jack Harrison; Rodrigo Moreno.
We’re unlikely to see another 7-0, but given that City are halfway between Champions League semi-final legs, and have been knocked off top spot in the league by Liverpool, Pep Guardiola’s side will be fully focused on not slipping up in this match, to a Leeds side that beat them 2-1 at a similar stage last season.
They’re still far from safe from the relegation fight, but 16th-placed Leeds are unbeaten in five, and have tightened up at the back under Jesse Marsch. That’s just as well, particularly considering the thumping City gave them earlier this season.
Hello, and welcome to live coverage of this Premier League fixture, between Leeds United and Manchester City.
