Final Tournament

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
England are next in action against Montenegro on Monday on the road, while Czech Republic face Brazil at home in a friendly on Tuesday.
England put forward a dominant performance to start their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. Raheem Sterling notched his first international hat-trick to inspire the 5-0 triumph over Czech Republic, continuing his fine run of form for club and country. Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot before the interval, while Tomas Kalas put the ball into his own net to compound a miserable evening for the visitors at Wembley. Gareth Southgate will be delighted with the quality of his side's display to hand them momentum for their trip to Montenegro on Monday.
90' There will be two minutes of added time.
90' Hudson-Odoi falls awkwardly following a collision with Vydra, but he appears to be ok to continue as he clutches his hip.
89' England have scored five goals at Wembley for the first time since October 2014 (5-0 v San Marino in Euro 2016 qualifying).
88' England keep pushing for further goals, but Henderson's run into the left inside channel is stymied by a good challenge from Kaderabek.
86' Vydra made comments about Maguire during the week and he may regret them now as the England man flies into a challenge with the forward, winning the ball in the process.
T. Kalas
Own Goal
84' GOALLLLLLLLLL!!!! KALAS PUTS THE BALL INTO HIS OWN NET!!! ENGLAND 5-0!!!! Matters only get worse for the visitors as Kalas stabs the ball into the bottom corner. It came from a driving run from Hudson-Odoi as the Chelsea winger cut inside from the left flank after collecting Sancho's offload. His drive was well saved by Pavlenka, but the rebound struck Kalas on his outstretched boot and rolled over the line to nestle into the corner.
M. Škoda
P. Schick
82' Schick is withdrawn for the visitors and is replaced by Skoda.
81' WIDE! Gebre Selassie works the ball inside to Soucek, who tees up Vydra for a strike at goal, but he places his effort wide of the post from 12 yards out.
81' Hudson-Odoi (18y 135d) is the youngest player in the history of the England national team to win his first cap in a competitive match (18y 135d), breaking the record held by Duncan Edwards since April 1955 (18y 183d).
79' England are knocking the ball around the pitch with ease at the moment. The visitors will be keen for the final whistle to be blown.
77' Sterling is the first England player to score a hat-trick at Wembley since Jermain Defoe in September 2010 (v Bulgaria), netting with each of his three shots in the game.
76' SAVES! England up the ante in the final third in response. Hudson-Odoi sees a rasper from the left inside channel beaten away by Pavlenka before he tees up Kane for a strike on the turn that the keeper does well to palm away from the bottom corner.
74' CLOSE! Walker gives the ball away and Vydra tees up Schick to strike on the edge of the box. He unleashes a powerful strike with his left foot that drifts inches wide of the post.
72' WIDE! England work the ball down the left flank and Chilwell lifts a cross into the box that is glanced wide by Barkley.
C. Hudson-Odoi
R. Sterling
70' Hudson-Odoi makes his England debut, replacing Sterling for the home side.
R. Barkley
68' Barkley's driving run through the middle of the park is rewarded as his offload to Sterling sees the forward find the net.
R. Sterling
68' GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!! STERLING HAS A HAT-TRICK!!! ENGLAND 4-0!!! The Manchester City man notches his first hat-trick at international level. It comes with the aid of fortune as his strike from the edge of the box deflects off Celustka into the net, but Sterling will not care. Barkley's driving run from deep set up the opportunity as he released his team-mate into space before Sterling applied the finish.
L. Masopust
V. Darida
67' Darida makes way for Masopust for the visitors.
66' Sterling has scored a brace in two of his last three appearances for England (also v Spain).
65' Sancho releases Barkley into the right inside channel and he fends off the challenge of Novak, but his cutback into the middle is cleared ahead of Kane.
D. Rice
D. Alli
63' Rice makes his England debut as he replaces Alli.
R. Sterling
62' GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! STERLING FINISHES IN STYLE!!! ENGLAND 3-0!!! Sterling notches his second of the game with a curling strike on his left foot. Walker raided from the back to supply a low ball into the forward. It was fortunate to deflect into his path in the box. However, the Manchester City man was clinical with his finish, turning inside to fire his effort into the net.
59' BLOCK! Novak denies Sancho his first England goal. The Three Lions open up the visitors down the left flank. Kane collects Sterling's offload before cutting the ball back across the face of goal. Sancho slides an effort towards the net, but Novak is well placed to take enough off the strike to stop it crossing the line. However, the resulting clearance from Kalas deflects off Alli and almost bounces over the line - just landing on the roof of the net.
57' Czech Republic have already had three times as many shots in the second half (3) as they did in the first half (1).
55' CHANCE! Henderson is released down the left inside channel and he fires the ball across the face of goal. Kalas' clearance strikes Novak and heads towards his own goal, but Pavlenka gets down to make the reaction stop.
P. Schick
Yellow Card
53' Schick is booked for preventing Pickford to restart quickly from the back.
53' SAVE! The visitors cause England problems from another set-piece as a corner travels all the way through to Pavelka. He strikes at goal on the turn, but his effort is straight at Pickford, who makes the stop.
53' Schick is the latest Czech Republic player to launch an attempt at goal as he guides a headed effort towards goal from Gebre Selassie's cross from the right, although Pickford makes a comfortable save.
51' CLOSE! Czech Republic win a free-kick down the right and Kaderabek swings a cross into the box. Soucek connects with a diving header that drifts inches wide of the post with Pickford beaten.
49' England back off Pavelka on the drive and he sees his left-footed effort blocked by Maguire, who comes out of the line to divert his strike away from goal.
48' Kane sends Barkley into the right inside channel, but his cross into the middle is cut out by Kalas ahead of Alli.
46' We're back underway at Wembley.
M. Vydra
J. Jankto
46' Vydra replaces Jankto for the visitors at the break.
Czech Republic have offered next to nothing in the final third in the first half. Their best opening came from Vladimir Darida, who drilled his strike well wide of the post from distance. The visitors have been too passive, although they will feel aggrieved by the penalty decision, which was a soft one. However, they will need to up the ante in the second period to have a hope of getting anything out of the game.
England hold a 2-0 lead over Czech Republic at half time of their Euro 2020 qualifying clash at Wembley. Raheem Sterling put the Three Lions ahead, converting on the stretch from Jadon Sancho's cross. Harry Kane doubled the home side's advantage on the stroke of the interval from the penalty spot. It was not Kane's best penalty, but he struck his effort with enough power to beat the hands of Jiri Pavlenka to find the net. Gareth Southgate will be satisifed with his team's exploits in the opening 45 minutes.
H. Kane
Penalty Goal
45' + 2' GOALLLLLLLLLL!!!! KANE CONVERTS!!! ENGLAND 2-0!! The Three Lions skipper blasts his effort into the net to double his side's lead before the break. It's not his best effort as Pavlenka gets a hand to the ball, but it's not strong enough to keep it out of the net. England take complete command heading into the interval.
P. Kadeřábek
Yellow Card
45' + 1' Kaderabek goes into the book for appealing against the penalty decision.
45' + 1' PENALTY TO ENGLAND! Sterling goes down in the box as Kaderabek and Kalas block off his attempt to reach the ball. The referee considers his decision for a second before pointing to the spot.
45' There will be one minute of added time.
44' The home side keep the attack alive before Kane goes for a strike amid a crowd of bodies in the box. He sees his effort diverted behind by the body of Kalas.
43' England break in numbers, but the visitors are allowed to get men back to stymie an effort from Kane in the final third.
41' Soucek is penalised for a foul in the box from the resulting corner. It's the second time Czech Republic have been penalised in the England box from a set-piece.
40' Czech Republic find space on the break and Darida is played into space by Schick, and although Alli gets back to make the challenge, he concedes a corner in the process.
38' Sancho wins a corner for the home side with a run down the right. Henderson's deep cross is kept alive by Celustka, allowing Sancho to strike at goal. His effort is going wide, but Maguire sticks out a boot to guide it across the face of goal. Fortunately for the visitors, it finds a red shirt rather than a white one to clear the threat.
37' The Three Lions break with numbers and Sancho collects on the right flank. He tries to slide a pass through to Sterling, but Celustka is well placed to make the interception.
35' England are moving the ball around the pitch with ease and the visitors seem content to sit back on the edge of their own box to limit their options in the final third.
33' Alli gets a kick on the ankle from Pavelka and takes his time getting to his feet. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has already seen one of his players leave the field and he will be concerned to see another with an issue.
32' Walker clears the danger from Darida's free-kick, although Kane was fouled anyway by Celustka.
32' Barkley is penalised for the use of a stray arm on Darida and it will hand the visitors a chance to put a cross into the box from the resulting free-kick.
31' Sterling offloads to Kane in space on the edge of the box, but the England captain takes a poor touch and sees his strike on the stretch blocked.
29' Kane drops off on the edge of the box and tries to lift a cross in towards Sterling, but Pavlenka is off his line to gather the ball.
28' England have controlled the game from the off and now have the goal to further assert their dominance over Czech Republic. The visitors need to respond.
26' Sterling has scored three goals in his last three England appearances.
J. Sancho
24' Sancho makes a good run down the right to latch on to Kane's pass and tees up Sterling to convert from close range.
R. Sterling
24' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! STERLING PUTS ENGLAND AHEAD!!!! 1-0!!! The Three Lions carve open Czech Republic at the back as Kane sends a decisive pass behind the defence for Sancho's run in the right inside channel. The winger fires the ball across the face of goal and Sterling on the stretch converts with his left boot. A fine team goal from the home side.
23' WIDE! Czech Republic break down the right through Pavelka before Darida collects inside and goes for the strike on his left foot, only to hammer his effort well wide of the post.
22' Walker, Kane and Barkley attempt to combine down the right flank, but the final touch between Kane and Barkley is just off target.
21' Chilwell sends Sancho down the left inside channel and he fires a cross into the box, which Kalas has to be alert to clear in the middle.
19' Czech Republic are battling well in their defensive duties and Jankto wins a free-kick from Walker's challenge.
R. Barkley
E. Dier
17' Dier is unable to continue and he makes way for Barkley, which should see Henderson drop back into a sitting role.
15' Kane clips a pass into the feet of Sterling in the box, but the forward cannot bring it under control under pressure from Kaderabek.
14' Dier is going to try to remain on the pitch as he goes through a series of stretches on the sideline before making his way back on.
13' Dier has gone down in the middle of the park and may require treatment before we can continue. Rice is sent out to warm up.
12' Sancho (18y 362d) is the third youngest England player to start a competitive international at Wembley, behind only Duncan Edwards (18y 183d) in 1955 and Michael Owen (18y 300d) in 1998.
11' Soucek flies into a challenge with Dier and gives away a free-kick in the middle of the park. There have been a few heavy challenges in the early stages of the game.
10' Schick makes the first clearing header from the resulting corner before Sterling gives away a foul on the edge of the box.
9' Walker raids with menace down the right flank and he wins a corner as Novak blocks his cross behind.
7' Walker sends Henderson down the right flank and he lifts the ball into the box. Pavlenka sticks out a hand to divert it away from goal and he does enough to keep the cross away from Kane and Alli.
6' Alli scoops the ball over the top of the visitors' backline for the run of Chilwell. However, Celustka clears from the left inside channel ahead of the England full-back.
4' England are looking to bring Sancho into the game in the early stages. The winger bursts down the right flank after collecting Kane's offload, but Soucek tracks back to dispossess the Borussia Dortmund man.
3' Walker fires a low pass towards Sancho on the edge of the box. However, the visitors are quick to close down the youngster as Novak makes the challenge.
1' Walker goes on a surge down the right flank and he tries to work the ball towards Sancho, but Pavelka is on hand to make the interception.
1' We're underway at Wembley.
England are unbeaten in their last 18 Euro qualifying matches (W15 D3), winning the last 10 in a row. Their last such defeat came under Steve McClaren in November 2007 against Croatia.
Czech Republic are without first-choice keeper Tomas Vaclik due to injury, which sees Pavlenka take his place between the sticks. Gebre Selassie and Darida also come into the team from the side that beat Slovakia last time out. As a result. Dockal and Vydra drop to the bench.
England are without several key players this evening, forcing Southgate into making five changes to their side beat Croatia last time out. John Stones and Joe Gomez are both out due to injury, which sees Maguire and Keane get the nod to start. Henderson and Alli come back into the fold in the midfield, while Sancho comes into a three-man attack to replace the injured Marcus Rashford.

Czech Republic finished second in their group in the Nations League B. They won two and lost two of their matches, missing out on the opportunity for promotion. A strike from Patrik Schick fired them to victory over Slovakia last time out, while they recorded a 1-0 win over Poland in their previous outing in a friendly match. They are more than capable of springing an upset this evening.
England return to action for the first time since their 2-1 win over Croatia in November, which secured their place in the semi-finals of the Nations League. Gareth Southgate's men take the first step of their journey to qualifying for the next major tournament.
