Commentary

That will do it for our live coverage of this Premier League match between Chelsea and Sheffield United! We hope you enjoyed following along, and will join us again soon!
As for what's next for these sides, Chelsea will hope to shake off their disappointment before travelling to face Wolves next Saturday while Sheffield United will look to carry the momentum from the second half right into their match against Southampton at the weekend.
What a comeback by Sheffield United! After being down two goals at the break (Abraham - 19', 43'), the Blades came out firing in the second half, managing to get on the scoreline in the first minute of the second half through the right foot of Robinson (46'). While the visitors continued to threaten at times, Chelsea wrestled back control of the match with over 60 per cent possession in the final 45 minutes. The Blues' will rue the missed chances by Abraham (55') and Mount (87') with the latter happening just a couple of minutes before the Sheffield United equalizer. Chelsea will have surely expected three points today, but were unable to see the match out and will have to settle for just one.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: Chelsea 2-2 Sheffield United
90' + 4' Sheffield United's manager Chris Wilder is shouting at the referee to blow the whistle, and the latter obliges!
90' + 2' Chelsea's squad today was the youngest ever in their history (24 years, 158 days). Is that inexperience to blame for today's collapse?
90' There will be four minutes of added time.
K. Zouma
Own Goal
Chelsea
89' GOOOALLLL!!!! SHEFFIELD UNITED HAVE BROUGHT THINGS LEVEL! Robinson cut in from the left and curled in a cross that deflected off the shin of Zouma and into the back of the net! Not sure the latter should be credited with the own goal, but the visitors won't care about that! Chelsea 2-2 Sheffield United
89' Sheffield United line up a corner after a Robinson shot was deflected behind by Tomori.
87' CHANCE! After Henderson punched a free-kick away, Mount tried to launch a shot into the empty net, but the latter rushed it a bit and pushed his shot wide right of goal!
86' Fun fact: Billy Gilmour was born just three days before Frank Lampard signed for Chelsea as a player in 2001!
B. Osborn
C. Basham
Sheffield United
84' Sheffield United make a change as Osborn replaces Basham.
B. Gilmour
T. Abraham
Chelsea
84' No hat-trick today for Abraham as he is replaced by Gilmour.
M. Batshuayi
M. Kovačić
Chelsea
83' Batshuayi comes onto the pitch for Chelsea with Kovacic the departing player.
81' Kovacic underhits a pass that would have played Pulisic in behind the defence on the left. That could have opened up a scoring opportunity had it been weighted better.
L. Mousset
L. Freeman
Sheffield United
79' Luke Freeman makes way as Mousset enters the fray for the visitors.
78' Willian rolls around on the floor after having his heel clipped but, with advantage played for his side, sheepishly rises back up to his feet.
76' Jorginho lifts a ball out to Willian on the wing. While the latter has yet to do anything particularly meaningful, his pace is causing issues for the defence.
74' Mild penalty shouts from Chelsea as Pulisic goes down in the penalty area, but it looks as though Freeman did get the ball first and play continues.
72' Chelsea have a throw after Robinson tried to be a little too clever whilst trying to evade both Azpilicueta and Pulisic on the touchline.
70' Lundstram tries a looping header off of a corner, but it had neither the pace nor accuracy to beat Kepa.
68' Tomori is clashed into by McGoldrick and the foul is called. The defender grimaces as he gets back to his feet.
66' The home support cry out for a foul on Abraham, but the flag was already up as the striker is called for offside.
D. McGoldrick
O. McBurnie
Sheffield United
63' As predicted at half-time McGoldrick comes on for Sheffield United with McBurnie making way.
62' Willian has attempted three passes since coming onto the pitch. He has misplaced all three.
Willian
R. Barkley
Chelsea
60' Barkley is the first player to be substituted today with Willian the replacement.
59' Pulisic opened up his body for a shot from the edge of the penalty area before opting to square it to a teammate instead, but the pass is intercepted and the visitors clear.
57' Barkley dribbles into the box and tries to cut a shot in at the far post, but Henderson is wise to it and smothers the chance.
57' It looks as though Willian is about to enter the fray for Chelsea.
55' CHANCE! Abraham tries to scoop the ball into the net after a great ball in from Azpilicueta, but Henderson gets low to deny the striker his hat-trick!
53' Corner to Chelsea after a Barkley pass is deflected behind.
51' Both sets of trainers are out on the pitch now after a collision between Norwood and Kovacic. The players make their way to the sideline, but both seem likely to continue.
50' The Sheffield United goal was Robinson's first in this competition.
48' Basham takes down Pulisic and the former is mildly lucky to have avoided a booking.
E. Stevens
Assist
Sheffield United
46' Stevens did well to beat two Chelsea players on the left before cutting back a perfectly weighted ball to Robinson who finished the chance well!
C. Robinson
Goal
Sheffield United
46' GOOALLLL!!!! Sheffield United get on the scoresheet just seconds into the half! Stevens gets to the byline on the left and cuts a ball back right into the path of Robinson who opened his body, and finished into the right side of goal! Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United
46' The referee's whistle sounds once more and this match is back underway!
It will be interesting to see how both of these sides change things in the second half. For Chelsea, they have a comfortable lead and may look to bring on another midfielder or defender around the hour mark to see out the match. As for Sheffield United, their two leading scorers last season, Sharp and McGoldrick, are both on the bench and could be turned to sooner rather than later to try and get their side on the scoreline.
The first half seemed fairly balanced in terms of run of play but, despite that, Chelsea head into the half with a 2-0 lead. The goals (19', 43') which both came from the feet of Tammy Abraham, both came about due to errors by Sheffield United with Henderson spilling a save on the first and a failed clearance leading to the second. The visitors did have a meaningful chance of their own that would have gotten them on the scoreline, and back into the match, in the 39th minute but Robinson couldn't direct his header on target. Can they find a goal in the second half, or will Chelsea be able to coast to their third straight league win?
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: Chelsea 2-0 Sheffield United
O. McBurnie
Yellow Card
Sheffield United
45' + 1' Not entirely sure what has prompted it, but McBurnie gets into a bit of a shouting match with the referee, and the former is shown yellow.
45' There will be just one minute of added time.
44' CHANCE! Mount drifts in from the left channel and has his shot deflected up in the air and just wide of Henderson's goal!
T. Abraham
Goal
Chelsea
43' GOOALLLL! Chelsea double their lead! Abraham drifts behind the defence and, after a failed headed clearance, the ball fell kindly to the forward who squeezed his right-footed effort under a diving Henderson! Chelsea 2-0 Sheffield United
41' Robinson rushes down the left and zips a pass towards the penalty spot that is intercepted by Chelsea and cleared.
39' CHANCE! Basham was found with a lofted through ball down the right and then whipped a cross to Robinson at the far post, but the forward headed the chance wide!
37' CHANCE! Kovacic collects the ball and takes a great touch in the penalty area, setting himself up for a shot that he drags just left of the far post! That move probably deserved a goal.
36' Sheffield United are defending well and, once again, have pushed Chelsea from the penalty area all the way back to Kepa.
34' Zouma is back on his feet now and seems able to continue.
33' There is a stoppage as Zouma lays on the floor after an aerial duel with McBurnie.
31' After playing through a couple of tackles, Pulisic is brought down on the edge of the penalty area. Chelsea will have a free-kick from a very dangerous position.
29' Sheffield United are set to take a corner after an excellent string of one-touch passing before the final one was blocked behind by Azpilicueta. Can the visitors make this count?
28' Chelsea's last five goals have all been scored by Englishman (Abraham, Mount) which is the longest run at the club since seven were scored in 2011 (Sturridge, Lampard, Terry).
26' Basham skews a shot well wide off the half-volley and Chelsea will have a goal-kick.
24' Emerson finds space on the left and whips a low cross directly into the arms of Henderson.
23' Barkley opts to dribble into the teeth of the defence rather than play Pulisic down the line, and this quickly proves to have been the wrong choice.
21' Abraham fizzes a pass in the direction of Mount that is picked out by the defender at the last second.
T. Abraham
Goal
Chelsea
19' GOOOOALLLL!!! Chelsea take the lead! Henderson spilt the initial flick by Pulisic, and the ball fell to Abraham who finished coolly into an empty net! Embarrassing error from the goalkeeper, but Abraham did well to score his third goal in the last two matches! Chelsea 1-0 Sheffield United
18' Luke Freeman launches a shot wide after Sheffield United had capitalised on a loose ball from Kovacic on the edge of the box.
16' Abraham runs off the shoulder of Egan with a hint of offside, but the striker's shot is dragged wide regardless.
14' The momentum is swinging a bit now with Sheffield United looking every part Chelsea's equal at the moment.
12' Lundstrom overhits a pass to Baldock down the right, and it eventually rolls out of play for a Chelsea goal-kick.
10' Sheffield United make their first real push forward, but are unable to make it count in any meaningful way.
8' After briefly playing around the visitors' penalty area, Chelsea are forced to play the ball all the way back to Kepa.
6' A great ball is played forward to Abraham who had beaten the backline, but his initial touch is loose which allows Sheffield United to clear.
4' Azpilicueta surges down the right and attempts an early cross that's blocked out of play for a Chelsea throw.
2' For those interested, Chelsea wear blue shirts and shorts with white socks, while Sheffield United don white shirts and shorts with red socks.
1' Referee Stuart Attwell blows his whistle, and this match is underway!
Both sides are walking out onto the pitch. Not long to go now!
Expect plenty of play in the wide spaces today as both sides rank top-five in accurate crosses thus far this season.
A whopping nine changes from Sheffield United after beating Blackburn 2-1 in the EFL Cup in midweek. Henderson, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Lundstram, Luke Freeman, Baldock, Stevens, and Robinson all start today while Moore, Bryan, Stearman, Jagielka, Besic, Kieron Freeman, Morrison, Osborne and Sharpe all fall either to the bench, or out of the side entirely. Norwood, who is one of just two players to start both the last match and this one, will be the main source of creativity for the Blades today, as the midfielder leads his club in both chances created (eight) and accurate crosses (six).
Just one change for Chelsea after their 3-2 win against Norwich as Tomori replaces Christensen in defence. The interest will likely fall at the other end of the pitch though, as Tammy Abraham seems to have established himself as the Blues’ primary striker after his brace last weekend. Abraham has now scored 28 goals since the start of last season, making him the highest-scoring Englishman over that stretch.
Sheffield United substitutes: Simon Moore, Lys Mousset, David McGoldrick, Richard Stearman, Muhamed Besic, Ben Osborn, Billy Sharp.
Sheffield United (5-3-2): Dean Henderson; George Baldock, Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack O’Connell, Enda Stevens; John Lundstram, Oliver Norwood, Luke Freeman; Callum Robinson, Oliver McBurnie.
Chelsea substitutes: Willy Caballero, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Billy Gilmour, Willian, Michy Batshuayi, Olivier Giroud.
Chelsea (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma, Emerson; Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Ross Barkley; Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount.
