Commentary

That's it for our coverage tonight, but we hope you enjoyed it and will join us again in future!
PSG may feel aggrieved by the disallowed goal right after the break, but it ends up not mattering as the Parisians found another two goals in the second half. Those goals always felt like they were coming as well as Mbappe and Di Maria could find space on the wings whenever they pleased. Cavani will likely be disappointed by not finding the net, but the Uruguayan did earn an assist for his efforts.
It's not the storybook ending that Caen fans may have been dreaming of, but they put in a fantastic effort in defence tonight, but just could not make enough progress in attack. Da Silva in particular should hold his head high after a stellar performance.
90' + 6' THE WHISTLE BLOWS! PSG HAVE WON!!!
Dani Alves
Assist
90' + 5' Dani Alves passed Nkunku in behind for the goal.
90' + 5' AND NOW HE SCORES!!! Nkunku buries a curling shot into the right side netting. You'll rarely see a shorter and more efficient substitution than this one!
90' + 4' Nkunku takes a full bodied shot with his first touch of the match, but it deflects behind for a corner. What an entrance that would have been!
C. Nkunku
Á. Di María
90' + 3' The last PSG sustitution is made as Di Maria makes way for midfielder Christopher Nkunku.
90' + 1' Pastore has to leave the field of play having recieved medical attention, but he seems okay to continue.
I. Diomandé
Red Card
90' RED CARD TO DIOMANDE!!! He did get the ball but the follow through was two footed and scissored Pastore's plant leg.
90' Rodelin and Avounou play a litlte give and go down the left as the home side try to find an equaliser.
89' Mounier dribbles straight into Bessat who takes control of the ball and plays it forward.
Dani Alves
K. Mbappé
88' Unai Emery makes a switch bringing on left back Dani Alves for goal scorer Kylian Mbappe.
87' PSG now calmly passing around the Caen penalty area.
85' Can Caen snatch a late equaliser or have PSG just won it?
82' IT STANDS!!! One can only assume they were checking to make sure Cavani was onside before the laying the ball back to Mbappe.
82' BUT WAIT.... We're heading to VAR again! Will this one be chalked off as well?
E. Cavani
Assist
81' Cavani gets the assist for cutting the ball back to the Monaco-loanee.
K. Mbappé
Goal
81' Di Maria with a no look back heel finds Cavani in behind the Caen defence. He passes it back... FINDS MBAPPE... AND MBAPPE SCORES!!!! PSG TAKE THE LATE LEAD!!!
81' Now we pause play while the referee deals with an object that was thrown at Samba after the Marquinhos miss.
81' Marquinhos finds himself free in the Caen penalty area, connects with Di Maria's cross, but puts the ball over the crossbar for a goal kick.
79' Berchiche finds himself forward on the overlap, but his cross immediately bounces off of a Caen defender. Throw in to the visitors.
77' Di Maria to take a free kick from a dangerous position. He beats the wall... but it bounces comfortably up into the waiting arms of Samba.
A. Djiku
Yellow Card
76' Alexander Djiku picks up a yellow card.
76' Avanou immediately involved as he tries to play Crivelli in, but the forwards touch is too heavy and the ball runs out of play for a goal kick.
D. Avounou
J. Deminguet
75' Deminguet is withdrawn in favour of wide man Durel Avounou.
74' Quick reminder that we will go into extra time if 90 minutes is not enough to separate these sides.
J. Pastore
J. Draxler
72' Draxler is set to make way for Javier Pastore.
71' Di Maria tries an early cross into Cavani, but Da Silva heads it away to safety. The Caen centre back is having himself a fantastic day, it must be said.
68' A couple of half chances at each end, but neither side can capitalise and the score remains level.
67' Typically Caen are better from wide positions as they have the third most accurate crosses in Ligue 1 this season (180).
66' Caen launch at pace through Bessat, but his cross is an inaccurate one and is cleared.
64' A loose ball by Marquinhos allows Diomande to start an attack for Caen, but he's chopped down from behind by Lo Celso. No further action taken by the referee.
61' Peeters takes a blistering shot form about 35 yards out, but it goes just left of goal. Trapp was surely nervous there!
60' Feret is Caen's main creative force leading the team in both chances created (58) and accurate crosses (38).
J. Féret
C. Kouakou
59' Julian Feret comes into the match, replacing the limping Kouakou
57' Di Maria and Mbappe have seemingly switch sides now with the former now on the right.
55' Caen getting forward a bit more over the past couple of minutes, but mostly through long balls. It's been very hard for them to play through PSG's midfield tonight.
54' It would be far from surprising if Di Maria managed to find the back of the net tonight considering he has scored more goals (7) than any other player in the Coupe de France this season.
52' Di Maria is played in behind the Caen defence, but Da Silva recovers and is able to clear the ball from danger!
48' CAVANI PUTS THE BALL IN THE NET.... BUT WAIT! The goal has been ruled out by VAR! Di Maria was deemed to have been offside!
46' The whistle blows, and we're back underway at the Stade Michel d’Ornano!
E. Crivelli
I. Santini
46' Patrice Garande has taken off their leading scorer Ivan Santini for Enzo Crivelli.
The teams have started to file out of the tunnels as we prepare for the start of the second half.
Caen will obviously be delighted with the scoreline seeing as they had failed to score in three of their last five matches against PSG.
Unai Emery will be massively disappointed to be heading into the dressing rooms level, having watched his side dominate for almost the entirety of the first half.
45' + 1' Di Maria takes two consecutive corners, but neither find a PSG teammate, and the whistle blows for halftime!
45' What a massive goal for Caen with the first half winding down!
I. Diomandé
Goal
43' Diomande takes a pot shot from outside the box... it takes a huge deflection off Rabiot... AND IT HAS BEATEN TRAPP! GOAAALLLL!!!
41' Santini gets a shot off, but it lacks pace which allows Trapp the time needed to get down and smother it. Bright signs for Caen over the past five minutes.
40' Rabiot concedes a free kick in a dangerous area. Rodelin takes, but he puts it straight into the wall.
37' Berchiche overlaps on the left and finds himself in the Caen box, but the ball is deflected behind for a corner.
36' Caen are really missing Frederic Guilbert in wide areas tonight. The rigtht back is fantastic at disrupting opponents as boasts the most interceptions and tackles won in all of Ligue 1 this season!
33' Mbappe pulls off a ridiculous flick over Bessat's head, but the ball eventually runs out of play for a throw in. PSG are having too much joy on the right for it to not come to something soon.
32' It's all PSG at the moment. In fact, the visitors have leapt out to a massive early lead in possession (71%).
30' Diomande slips and it seems as though he's tweaked his hamstring a bit. Looks as though he will carry on for now though.
28' Now it remains to be seen if Caen can find some joy at the other end of the pitch. Ivan Santini is likely their best chance at scoring as he leads the club in league goals with nine.
E. Cavani
Assist
25' Cavani is awarded the assist, but it surely was not intentional.
K. Mbappé
Goal
25' Cavani takes a shot but it's going wide... NO WAIT! Mbappe makes a late run and connects with Cavani's mishit and taps it home! PSG lead 1-0!
23' Stef Peeters takes an awful free kick that offers PSG a great chance on the counter, but they just can't seem to make the hosts pay for these mistakes thus far.
21' RABIOT GOES DOWN IN THE BOX.... but the referee has decided it was not a penalty.  He went up with Genevois for a header and just caught the worse of it.
19' Peeters found enough space to take a shot from just outside the PSG box but this one is straight at Trapp. Seems to be a trend developing here...
18' Mbappe finds himself behind Bessat, again, and this time pulls the ball back to Di Maria, but the Argentine's strike lacks power or height and is collected by Samba.
16' Mbappe is found with a lovely diagonal ball, but he was just offside. Caen doing well to hold their line thus far.
Yuri
Yellow Card
15' Kouakua nicks the ball off of Berchiche and is fouled in the process. Yellow card to the PSG left back.
14' Cavani gets a shot off in the box, but it deflects behind for a corner.
13' The Ivorian will be vital for Caen tonight as he has scored the most Coupe de France goals for Caen this campaign, including the winner against Lyon.
12' Diomande wins the ball and pushes Caen forward.
9' Cheap giveaway by Caen in the midfield but Mbappe slips, which allows them to reclaim possession.
8' Unai Emery's side are already starting to show their class. This time, Mbappe creates space for himself and whips in an early cross to Cavani but Da Silva just gets to it in time.
5' Di Maria gets behind the hosts' defence and tries to whip in a low ball to Cavani, but it deflects off a Caen defender and the chance comes to nothing.
4' It's headed away but falls kindly to the feet of Bessat who takes the shot from distance... but it's straight at Trapp who collects calmly.
3' Rodelin is played into loads of space down the right wing, he tries to pass it in, but it's out for a corner! Can Caen make the most of this early opportunity?
1' The whistle blows and we're off in this semi-final clash!
On the other hand, Caen have been fantastic at the Stade Michel d’Ornano having of late, having won four of their last five matches there in all competitions.
The Parisians will likely think they have an easy task ahead having beaten Caen in four of their last five matches, with a goal difference of +17.
Caen (4-3-3): Brice Samba; Romain Genevois, Damien Da Silva, Alexander Djiku, Vincent Bessat; Stef Peeters, Ismael Diomande, Jessy Deminguet; Christian Kouakou, Ivan Santini, Ronny Rodelin.
PSG (4-3-3): Kevin Trapp; Thomas Meunier, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Yuri Berchiche; Giovani Lo Celso, Adrien Rabiot, Julian Draxler; Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani; Angel Di Maria.
Let's take a look at the starting line ups from these two sides!
Let's start by congratulating PSG on having won the 2017/18 Ligue 1 title this past weekend!
