That's all for today, goodbye!
Argentina's unbeaten run extends to six games and they will be hoping to end their year on a high with another win against Uruguay on Monday. Brazil's winless run continues as Tite's side are now without a win in five games. He will be hoping to turn things around in their next game though when they face South Korea.
Messi's first-half penalty secures a 1-0 win over Brazil. Brazil had the first big chance of the game after Jesus was brought to ground in the box by Paredes, but he sent his spot-kick wide of the post. Minutes later, Argentina won a penalty and Messi saw his effort saved by Alisson but reacted quickest to put the rebound over the goal line. Argentina had the better chances in the second half, but they couldn't add to their lead thanks to a few good saves from Alisson.

Acuna whips a brilliant cross in from the right and Otamendi is waiting in the six-yard box to get on the end of it. Militao does just enough to put him off and the defender misses the ball.
Paredes has just gone down with what looks like cramp so Scaloni is bringing him off, with Rodriguez on to replace him.
Brazil have a chance at the other end and Danilo finds himself in a good position on the edge of the box. He decides to have a go from distance, but his effort is blocked by Pezzella.
GREAT CHANCE! Martinez has pulled away from the crowd in the box and brings the cross down with a great first touch. It's a poor effort from him though as he fires his effort high over the crossbar and into the stands.
Argentina quickly move the ball upfield and Messi has drifted out to the right to pick up the ball. He dribbles past his defender to get to the edge of the box but a heavy touch then gives Silva the chance to clear the danger.
GOOD SAVE! Pezzella pushes forward and lays the ball off to Paredes outside the box. The midfielder runs onto it and takes the shot first time. His effort is heading into the top corner, but Alisson gets a hand to it to push it over.
Second change for Argentina now and it's Ocampos that's coming off to be replaced by Gonzalez.

Another change for Brazil now and it's Arthur that makes way as Fabinho comes onto the field.
Arthur is struggling to find a pass into one of the forward players and turns so he can go backwards. He's just tugged back by Messi though and ends up winning a free-kick for his side.
Otamendi is receiving some treatment on his shoulder after landing awkwardly on his arm following a challenge with Willian. He's back on his feet quickly though and it looks like he's going to be able to carry on.

Argentina get us back underway for the second half!
Just the one change at half-time and it's made by Tite. Coutinho comes onto the field and he replaces Paqueta.
Tite will be expecting a reaction from his side after the break as he will want to end Brazil's winless run since the Copa America. They've only had one shot on target, by Jesus in the sixth minute, and they need to keep hold of the ball better when they get into the final third. Like Brazil, Argentina haven't had too many shots in the game, but Scaloni will be happy to have the lead at half-time. All of their chances have fallen to Messi and he's looked the most dangerous for them.
Messi scores on his return to the Argentina side to give them a 1-0 lead over Brazil at half-time. Brazil started brightly and were awarded a penalty when Jesus was brought to ground by Paredes. The forward couldn't convert the spot-kick he'd won though as he hit his effort against the outside of the post. Minutes later, Argentina were awarded a penalty themselves when Messi was brought down clumsily by Alex Sandro. The captain stepped up and had his shot saved by Alisson but reacted quickly to get on the end of the rebound and put it over the line.

Silva is taking his time on the ball in his own half but Messi is quickly across to him to close him down. The Argentina captain tries to tackle him from behind though and gives away a free-kick.
Brazil are keeping the ball well in Argentina's half of the field early on here. They're patiently passing it between their midfielders as they look to find a way in behind their opponents.
