That's all from this remarkable contest. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
Bayern march on. They will face Manchester City or Lyon in the last four and must surely back themselves to clinch a treble now. At Barca, Quique Setien's future looks extremely uncertain. His team completely capitulated.
One of the most remarkable results in Champions League history ends with Bayern putting eight past Barca! Muller and Coutinho, the latter still a Barca player, each got two, while there were also goals for Perisic, Gnabry, Kimmich and Lewandowski. Alaba's own goal actually levelled the game at an early stage, but Suarez's second-half strike was a mere consolation. This was a complete humbling for one of the biggest clubs in world football.
90' + 2' FULL-TIME: Barcelona 2-8 Bayern Munich
A. Vidal
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Vidal has been close to boiling over for much of this second half and gets a booking for shoving Tolisso.
90' + 1' There will be a minimum of two minutes of added time. Bayern might fancy another yet.
L. Hernández
89' It is Hernandez who tees up this goal, two substitutes combining as the ball evades Semedo.
Philippe Coutinho
89' GOOAAALLLL!!! COUTINHO! EIGHT! WOW! Bayern are showing no mercy! Thiago crosses, the ball is headed down and Semedo cannot clear. Coutinho is on hand to score again! EIGHT!
88' Bayern are not done yet! Neither is Coutinho! Coman tears away from Barca defenders and goes left to Coutinho, who cuts inside and shoots. Pique swipes at the ball and it loops just wide.
T. Müller
85' Muller gets the assist this time, squaring to Coutinho who dummies past a defender and has a simple finish. Unbelievable.
Philippe Coutinho
85' GOOAAALLLL!!! COUTINHO! IT'S SEVEN! The Barcelona forward scores against Barcelona! The loan man stabs past a static Ter Stegen and almost looks embarrassed to have netted. Incredible.
J. Kimmich
Yellow Card
85' Kimmich clatters Suarez and gets a booking. He and Bayern are unlikely to care.
C. Tolisso
L. Goretzka
84' Goretzka has been particularly impressive and makes way for Tolisso.
L. Hernández
A. Davies
84' As the VAR makes the call on the goal, Bayern make two more changes. Hernandez is on for Davies.
Philippe Coutinho
82' Coutinho is incredibly linking up with centre-back Alaba in the area before getting down the outside and crossing for the unmarked Lewandowski.
R. Lewandowski
82' GOOAAALLLL!!! LEWANDOWSKI! He gets his goal! It's 6-2! What a goal! Bayern are queueing up on the edge of the area and eventually work the ball left to Coutinho. He crosses to Lewandowski, who cannot miss. There is a VAR review, as the striker looks borderline offside, but the goal is given!
79' It is Coutinho's turn to attempt to mock his parent club, getting to the byline and cutting a cross back. Barca recover and can clear even when Coutinho forces a corner.
77' SAVE! Messi bursts into life! Trading passes with Suarez, he darts into the area and shoots hard and low, but Neuer gets down to it and holds on.
76' Coman and Kimmich trade passes on the right, giving the former time and space inside the area to fire in a cross. It is a poor ball, with the Bayern players hanging back, but Ter Stegen strangely chooses to kick clear. The goalkeeper has made a series of saves but has endured a tough night against his countrymen.
N. Süle
J. Boateng
76' There is a change at the back, too, as Boateng - who last week appeared a doubt for this match - is replaced by Sule.
Philippe Coutinho
S. Gnabry
75' Is this rubbing salt in the wounds? Now Bayern bring on Coutinho, still on loan from Barca, for Gnabry.
74' Lewandowski gets his chance to shoot on the left side of the area but Semedo blocks bravely and then beats the forward to the loose ball, timing his tackle well to avoid conceding a penalty.
73' Bayern are just keeping possession for now, but with Lewandowski still to score, they will no doubt soon be back on the attack.
71' Barcelona have conceded five goals in a European match for the first time since losing 5-4 to Levski Sofia in March 1976 in the UEFA Cup.
Ansu Fati
70' Another attacking Barca change! Does Setien still believe there is something in this for his side? Fati replaces Busquets.
69' SAVE! Ter Stegen blocks! The goalkeeper comes for a cross following a corner but flaps only as far as Gnabry, who blasts in a low shot. Ter Stegen crucially gets his leg in the way.
68' BLOCK! Coman almost instantly scores! Bayern remarkably win the ball back by the Barca corner flag, allowing Muller to run through from a tight angle. He looks instead to pass to Coman, but Alba dives in to block with the goal gaping.
67' Davies is fit to continue in a boost to Bayern, quickly rejoining the play.
K. Coman
I. Perišić
67' Bayern make their first change. Coman, fit again, is on for Perisic, no doubt determined to inflict more damage on Barca.
66' Davies is going to require treatment after taking a hefty whack in an aerial challenge with Semedo inside his own box.
65' Bayern counter on Barca once more! Working from left to right and then back to front, Perisic cannot find a team-mate with his cutback. They soon get the ball back from hapless Barca, though, and Ter Stegen has to cut out Kimmich's cross.
65' Messi remains on the periphery of the game but goes for goal from outside the box, seeing his effort deflected wide. His corner comes to nothing.
64' Bayern have scored as many goals as Barcelona have had shots in this match.
A. Davies
63' Davies has enjoyed an outstanding season, but that might be his best moment in Bayern shirt to date! It was about time he got in on the act!
J. Kimmich
63' GOOAAALLLL!!! KIMMICH! Now it's five! Kimmich stabs in from close range, but this goal is all about Davies! A little quiet up to now, the left-back turns Semedo inside out, races into the area and puts the ball on a plate for Kimmich. Outstanding.
62' Barca are not happy! Semedo goes down in a challenge with Goretzka, who is then fouled by Busquets. Barca believe the free-kick should go their way, with Busquets particularly keen to make his point to the referee.
60' Perisic lashes over the top! Bayern may have seen their lead trimmed but will surely feel there are still more goals in this.
Jordi Alba
Yellow Card
59' Suarez, who has been booked, takes down Kimmich and escapes a second card, but Alba then throws the ball at the referee and he does go into the book.
58' Suarez has incredibly ended a run of 1,952 minutes without a Champions League goal away from Camp Nou, this being his first since September 2015 against Roma at Stadio Olimpico.
Jordi Alba
57' Alba finds Suarez in space, although there is plenty left for the striker to do and he does it impressively.
L. Suárez
57' GOOAAALLLL!!! SUAREZ! Surely not... It's back to 4-2 to Bayern! Boateng has some painful memories of facing Barca in the Champions League and, where previously Messi humbled him with his close control, now Suarez cheekily chops past the defender and fires into the bottom corner.
57' Bayern's midfield offer such great support to Lewandowski, meaning when he drifts outside to take a pass from Perisic and look for a cross, there are plenty of men in the middle. Lewandowski just overhits the centre, however.
56' Barca's latest set-piece comes to nothing, although they at least avoid a counter this time.
55' Nervy for Bayern at the back! A long ball finds Suarez and Messi offside but both players ignore the play, allowing team-mates to get forward and put Boateng under pressure. He rushes a header beyond Neuer and out for a corner.
L. Suárez
Yellow Card
54' The latest card goes to Suarez as he takes down Thiago, who yells in apparent pain at the challenge.
53' OFFSIDE! Lewandowski is still waiting on his goal and, although the ball is in the net, this is not it. Lewandowski carries the ball forward following a Barca set-piece and the ball ricochets through to Muller. The forward is clearly offside before he tees up Lewandowski to finish, though.
A. Davies
Yellow Card
52' There are two Bayern fouls in the same passage of play but, after some confusion, just the one yellow card. Davies gets it - and cross words from Vidal - for his challenge.
51' OVER! Kimmich picks out the run of Goretzka beyond the last man. The midfielder controls on his chest but slices the shot over the top. Bayern are slicing through Barca almost as easily as they were before the break.
49' SAVE! Ter Stegen holds on at the second attempt! Muller spins away from a defender following Neuer's long ball and feeds Perisic. A first-time thump is straight at Ter Stegen, but the goalkeeper does well to keep out the powerful drive.
48' Perisic is working from the right and looks inside for Muller in the area, but Ter Stegen gets to the ball first this time.
47' Semedo just stretches to cut out a Kimmich pass with his head when Gnabry looks to be through again. Kimmich then gets back to tackle Alba smartly.
47' Bayern are quickly back into the same routine, dominating possession in the Barca half. Vidal smashes the ball off Lewandowski's toe but concedes a corner.
46' KICK-OFF: Lewandowski and Bayern get us back up and running!
A. Griezmann
Sergi Roberto
46' Barca make their first change at the break - and it's an attacking one. Griezmann replaces Roberto, signalling a change of shape.
Surely there is no way back for Barca. They have Griezmann and Dembele on the bench, but throwing on more attackers will only leave them more open at the back - if that is indeed possible!
Bayern were favourites for this clash, but even they could not have expected this! They have put four goals past Ter Stegen and even scored Barca's goal for them! Muller's opener was cancelled out with an Alaba own goal, before Hansi Flick's side put on the afterburners and netted through Perisic, Gnabry and Muller again. Barca had chances, too, but might be relieved to get in at half-time just the three goals behind.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: Barcelona 1-4 Bayern Munich
45' SAVE! It's straight at Neuer, but this is a powerful drive from Suarez! Roberto's run in behind causes problems and the ball falls kindly for Suarez to thump on target.
44' Superb from Goretzka! Barca take a quick throw on the left, Alba launching the ball into the box, but Goretzka gets back and clears smartly with an overhead-kick.
J. Boateng
Yellow Card
42' The first yellow card of the match is the most blatant you are ever likely to see! Barca have a break from inside their own half and Boateng steps up to chop down Suarez on halfway. Bayern might consider that a good booking to take.
41' Barca are still getting a little joy with the ball in behind to an overlapping full-back. But Semedo is offside, and his run merely means Barca are outnumbered at the other end. Bayern choose to keep possession this time, though.
40' Barcelona are the first team to concede four goals in the first half of a Champions knockout match since Porto, also against Bayern, let in five in April 2015.
39' Straight at Ter Stegen! Lewandowski is up highest from a corner but cannot properly put the Barca goalkeeper to work.
38' Another Bayern corner as Kimmich forces the ball behind off Lenglet after Davies carries the ball forward down the left. The Bayern left-back has actually been quiet by his standards!
36' High and wide from Perisic! The winger cuts inside from the left, with Pique losing out hopelessly, but cannot hit the target. Barca's insistence on playing out from the back continues to prove so costly.
35' Back come Barca - to no avail. Semedo attempts to get in behind Alaba in the area, but the Bayern defender's tackle does just enough to nudge the ball back to Neuer.
33' Barcelona have shipped four first-half goals in a Champions League match for the first time.
32' Goretzka dashes forward and shoots wide! Bayern are rampant. Barca cannot get a foothold.
31' This is the earliest a team has conceded four goals in a Champions League knockout match.
J. Kimmich
31' It is Kimmich's turn to tee up a goal, crossing low towards the near post. Barca believe there is a foul in the build-up, but the referee is not interested.
T. Müller
31' GOOAAALLLL!!! MULLER! BAYERN LEAD 4-1! Barca simply cannot handle the Bundesliga champions! Their defending has been truly woeful - against one of the best attacks in Europe! Muller gets across Pique and prods in the fourth.
30' Finally some Barca respite through an offside flag! The LaLiga giants are reeling, despite having had a series of chances themselves.
29' SAVE! It should be four! This is incredible! Once again, as so often in this first half, Barca lose possession within sight of their own goal. Lewandowski nips in and Ter Stegen has to block with his foot. Staggering.
L. Goretzka
27' Goretzka contributes a wonderful assist to this Gnabry goal, exposing Lenglet with a wonderful chipped pass on the turn.
S. Gnabry
27' GOOAAALLLL!!! GNABRY! Now it's 3-1 Bayern! Gnabry gets in behind Lenglet, holds off the centre-back, and thrashes a finish past Ter Stegen. Where will this end?!
27' SAVE! Stunning save! But it comes from Ter Stegen's mistake! Perisic sends in a fairly tame cross from the left, but the goalkeeper parries out to Lewandowski. The striker is at an awkward angle but knocks an effort goalwards, only for the goalkeeper to react superbly and block with his knee.
26' Offside! Another Messi cross, and Lenglet is the man in the middle again! He gets his head to the ball this time but just misses the target, and the flag is up regardless.
26' Momentum is swinging back and forth! This is a better Barca spell. Messi delivers from the right and Boateng is forced to head clear in front of Lenglet.
25' It has been a while, but Barca get in again! Roberto is the man to advance on the right and a low cross is cut out by Boateng, this clearance avoiding the net.
24' Wild from Thiago! Kimmich rolls a pass into his path, but the former Barca midfielder blazes high and wide from 20 yards.
23' Alba briefly stays down after Lewandowski towers over the left-back in the air, but Barca choose not to allow their left-back to recover, launching another attack. Once more, however, Bayern force them back.
S. Gnabry
21' Barca give the ball away in a poor area again, allowing Gnabry and Perisic to double up on a defender on the left, the former feeding the latter.
I. Perišić
21' GOOAAALLLL!!! PERISIC! Bayern are back in the lead! 2-1! Perisic fires a powerful finish straight through Ter Stegen from the left side of the area. This is turning into a classic!
20' Comfortable save for Neuer! Messi cuts inside and shoots, but this is not his best effort as the goalkeeper holds on. That is a first real sight of goal for the Barca number 10, though.
19' Kimmich is fortunate to avoid a booking as he takes down De Jong, who runs clear after Ter Stegen punches a Bayern corner.
19' More Bayern pressure! Pique heads over his own crossbar as Kimmich loops a cross into the centre of the box.
18' Over from Goretzka! The midfielder meets Bayern's corner from the right but cannot keep his header down.
17' Thiago slides a pass forward and both Gnabry and Perisic have opportunities to control in the area, before Alba intervenes, only to concede a corner.
16' Passes out from the back have been so lax from both teams. Alaba allows Barca to gain possession in a dangerous position this time, although Barca are halted as a quick free-kick is pulled back.
15' Messi wonderfully shimmies into space to set Barca on their way. They are soon forced backwards by that Bayern press, though. The passage ends with Pique having to nod the ball back to Ter Stegen under pressure from a lurking Lewandowski.
13' Lewandowski volleys over! The two defences continue to play so recklessly. Ter Stegen hacks the ball straight to Thiago, whose swift pass finds Muller and then Lewandowski in turn. He cannot keep a difficult chance down.
13' A Bayern corner comes in from the left and Gnabry makes contact at the near post but cannot turn the ball goalwards. It drops behind for a goal-kick.
12' What a cross! Lenglet just gets there ahead of Goretzka! Muller feeds a gorgeous pass out wide to Davies, whose first-time delivery looks to be right on the money. Good defending.
11' Bayern are so, so vulnerable to the ball in behind. Suarez runs off the shoulder of Boateng on this occasion but is beaten to the pass by the covering Alaba. There are no signs of this contest slowing!
10' POST! This is chaos! Now the cross comes in from the right and Busquets cannot get proper contact! Messi's delivery bounces beyond him and hits the upright. Remarkable.
9' SAVE! Neuer rescues Barca! What a game this looks to be... Messi teases a pass down the right and Semedo slides in Suarez. He attempts to lift the ball over Neuer, but the goalkeeper blocks.
8' Alaba is the first Bayern player to score an own goal in the Champions League since Holger Badstuber against Napoli in October 2011.
D. Alaba
Own Goal
7' OWN GOAL!!! It's 1-1! Alaba scores a stunning own goal! Incredible! The defending so far has left an awful lot to be desired and Alba is in on the left to square for Suarez. Alaba gets there first but completely mistimes his clearance and sends the ball arcing over Neuer.
5' Muller has now scored five goals in five Champions League appearances against Barcelona.
R. Lewandowski
4' It is an excellent Bayern move, but Barca are carved wide open. Perisic crosses, Muller controls and Lewandowski lays the ball back into the scorer's path.
T. Müller
4' GOOAAALLLL!!! MULLER! Bayern lead 1-0! This is such an open game already! Muller pokes a left-footed finish across Ter Stegen and into the bottom-left corner for the opener.
3' TACKLE! Vital work from Boateng! Barca are almost in for an early opener! Roberto advances down the right and plays a low ball across the back of the Bayern defence. It would reach Suarez but for Boateng's lunge.
2' Bayern are pressing high, meaning they soon have the ball back when Barca do attempt to move forward.
1' Bayern quickly gather possession and Boateng attempts a long ball in behind to Muller, who is onside. It bounces through to Ter Stegen, though.
1' KICK-OFF: Suarez and Barcelona get us under way in Lisbon!
At an average age of 29 years and 329 days, this is Barca's oldest starting XI for a Champions League match. Meanwhile, Muller makes his 113th appearance in the competition, a record among German players.
There is no room for Griezmann in the Barca XI, while Rakitic also makes way. Busquets and Vidal are back instead after serving suspensions against Napoli. As expected, Dembele makes the bench. Bayern are unchanged as Boateng recovers from the knock that forced him off at home to Chelsea.
Subs: Sven Ulreich, Ron-Thorben Hoffman, Alvaro Odriozola, Niklas Sule, Javi Martinez, Philippe Coutinho, Michael Cuisance, Lucas Hernandez, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman, Joshua Zirkzee, Jamal Musiala.
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Joshua Kimmich, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba, Alphonso Davies; Thiago Leon Goretzka; Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Ivan Perisic; Robert Lewandowski.
Subs: Neto, Inaki Pena, Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, Junior Firpo, Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo, Monchu, Oscar Mingueza, Ludovit Reis.
Barcelona (4-4-2): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba; Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Arturo Vidal; Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez.
Let's get the team news...
Bayern are the form team in the competition - unbeaten in 2020, with two domestic trophies to their name - and swept aside Chelsea. But while Barca have endured a testing campaign, they still have Lionel Messi. He was predictably central to their win over Napoli.
We have seen late drama in the prior two last-eight ties in Lisbon, but now it is the turn of two of Europe's biggest clubs and two of the tournament favourites.
