UEFA Champions League
UEFA Champions League Qualifiers
UEFA Europa League

FULL TIME! Bournemouth take a three-point step towards safety, with the home side defeating Man United by a scoreline of 2-1! Goals from Stanislas and King were enough for the hosts, with Fellaini's first-half strike not enough for a share of the spoils! Van Gaal's side clunk to a loss, with Howe masterminding a second successive victory! That's all that we have time for from Dean Court, we hope to see you again next time.
A. Boruc
Yellow Card
Boruc picks up a late yellow card for time wasting with his free-kick taking.
Jones tries to clip a long ball into the opposition penalty area, but Cook heads away with Martial looking to get the wrong side of his marker. That should be that for the Red Devils.
Desperate defending from the away side! Blind and Borthwick-Jackson are forced to plug the gaps in the heart of the defence briefly, with Gosling bundling his way forward and into the penalty area!
P. Jones
P. McNair
Jones replaces McNair for the final five minutes, which might just raise the question of why the England international didn't get a start over his less experienced teammate.
There are five minutes of stoppage time. Man United aren't looking likely to grab a result from the jaws of defeat.
Stanislas is fed down the left-hand side, but the Cherries' goalscorer is caught narrowly offside on the flank. The home fans aren't convinced, especially as Bournemouth had a three-versus-three situation lying in wait further forward. Man United aren't looking like grabbing a late equaliser at all.
E. O'Kane
H. Arter
O'Kane is thrown into the fray for the dying seconds, with the recently booked Arter taken off. It appears that Howe didn't fancy one of his key midfielders getting a silly second caution.
Only five minutes are on the clock now, with the referee slowing the game down in order to have a few words with some frustrating players. Howe takes Arter off to one side, with the English coach having a few late words in the ear of the Republic of Ireland international.
H. Arter
Yellow Card
Arter receives a caution for dissent, with the Irish midfielder appearing to lose his mind slightly when speaking to the referee, there.
We're well into the final 10 minutes at Dean Court, with Man United looking to be drawing up blanks while attempting to orchestrate a late comeback. Borthwick-Jackson wins a physical header over Ritchie, before setting off a break for the visitors, but an eventual cross from the right is hacked away.
Arter lines up an effort from the edge of the penalty area, with the midfielder dipping a firm shot into the advertising hoardings and just shy of the left-hand post! De Gea was worried for a moment there, with some of the crowd thinking that attempt was set to nestle in the back of the net.
The home fans are making plenty of noise, as they urge their side towards the finish line of what would be one of their biggest results of the season. Howe's men are sat back in organised banks, but their recent draw against Everton shows that a lot can still happen in the dying stages of a game.
Powell releases Borthwick-Jackson down the left flank, but the young full-back's attempted delivery is utterly woeful. Bournemouth look to break, but Murrary is robbed of possession expertly by Blind. The Red Devils attack again, with Martial fed the ball in the penalty area. The Frenchman dances beyond two challenges, before lashing an awful shot high and wide of the target!
Only a quarter of an hour remains for the visitors to claw back at least a point, with it looking likely that Van Gaal's side will be dropping points in the race for a top-four finish. Man United are being asked to attack, with Bournemouth biding their time to counter.
N. Powell
M. Fellaini
Man United's goalscorer makes way for the remaining minutes, with Powell coming into the fray in an attempt to rejuvenate the midfield.
Over the bar from Murray again! Stanislas whips a dangerous corner in from the left-hand side, which isn't cleared at the near post! Cook doesn't get a touch, with the loose ball falling to the former Crystal Palace striker! He leans back and skies another opportunity with his weaker foot!
OVER FROM MURRAY! UNBELIEVABLE MISS! Murray is found in the penalty area, before jinking inside McNair as though he wasn't even there! With De Gea at his mercy, the Cherries' striker can only lash a miscued effort high and wide of the target! How has he not scored?
Smith tries to drive down the right-hand side, but the full-back is dragged down while trying to get forward. Bournemouth are still looking fairly dangerous on the break, but the lack of pace afforded to them by replacing King with Murray is quite glaring. The ex-Palace striker tries to link up with Stanislas on the edge of the area, but McNair intercepts.
Some injuries and changes have taken the sting out of this game somewhat, with Man United definitely rather flat as it stands. Fellaini pulls a cross out of the air at the back post, but the ex-Everton man is only able to find Varela with a pass. Pereira tries to flight a ball in from out wide, but Boruc claims.
G. Murray
J. King
King takes a knock and is immediately withdrawn, with Murray brought into the fray to lead the line. Like-for-like switch for the Cherries.
There's a slight break in play, with Stanislas and King appearing to still be struggling with the knocks they have taken earlier in the half. Bournemouth probably wouldn't mind utilising a more defensive player in the wake of the replaced player, given their current lead.
Howe's men have taken a backseat of sorts since taking the lead again, with their two banks of four sitting deep and allowing King to lead the pressing. Van Gaal's side are lacking a bit of creativity in the final third, with Martial not being given any service at all to work with. Smith whips a cross in from the left, but Blind clears ahead of King!
Half an hour remains for the Red Devils to find two goals! Fellaini sees yet another close-range attempt blocked, with the Belgian just not being given the space required to make a vital difference on this Dean Court turf.
As we approach the hour mark, Bournemouth have a great chance to take a vital three points in the battle against relegation! Francis throws himself in with Arter to make a heroic block to deny Fellaini, with the resulting corner delivery pushed over the bar by Boruc! Man United are piling on the pressure!
King manages to loop a chipped effort just wide of the far post, before Man United counter! Fellaini musters up a close-range effort, with the Belgian forcing a hurried parry from Boruc! The rebound is put behind by Cook, with the resulting corner coming to nothing for the away outfit.
M. Ritchie
Ritchie whips a dangerous corner delivery into the box, which King promptly puts the finishing touches to.
J. King
GOOOOOOOOOAL! THE EX RED DEVIL STRIKES! The Norway international manages to fire home a neat finish from a corner, after Francis did so well to win the set piece. Man United just haven't been confident while dealing with corner deliveries this evening, with one of the visitors' former players doing the damage.
Francis goes on a driving run from the half-way line, with the right-back able to force De Gea into a smart save at his near post! That was far too easy for the defender, who was able to waltz all the way into the opposition penalty box basically unchallenged.
Memphis now appears to be carrying a slight knock to his left ankle, with a few injuries plaguing the opening minutes of the second half. A dangerous cross is whipped in from the right by Pereira, but Fellaini isn't quite able to rise high enough to divert a header goalwards!
Borthwick-Jackson and Carrick combine to spread play out to the right, before McNair is forced to go back to his goalkeeper. Man United definitely haven't been able to start attacking from the very off, with the Red Devils needing to up the tempo somewhat. Memphis is felled on the edge of the penalty area, but the referee waves for him to get up.
Howe is in deep discussions on his bench, with the hosts clearly thinking about making a change due to a knock taken by Stanislas. The goalscorer appears to have a problem with his left ankle, which the Cherries will hope isn't too serious at all. He has been their main source of danger this evening.
We are back underway in the second half! Bournemouth are level with one of the division's Champions League hunting sides, but Howe's men will want anything less than a win! The Cherries have proved that they can contend with some of the top-flight's big boys recently.
HALF TIME! The hosts go into the break with a 1-1 scoreline, with their solitary goal coming from a bizarre Stanislas strike direct from a corner. Fellaini responded for the Red Devils, but De Gea has definitely had the more to be worried about out of the two goalkeepers. Plenty is left to play for at Dean Court!
Martial drives his way to the left byline, before seeing an attempted cross deflect off a defender and then back onto his own body before heading out for a goal kick. There are two minutes of stoppage time.
Ritchie is picked out on the edge of the penalty area, after good work from Francis down the right-hand side. The former Swindon midfielder lines up a powerful shot, but directs it straight at the body of De Gea!
Andreas Pereira
Yellow Card
Pereira announces his presence in the game with a booking, as a result of a poor tackle made in a rather pointless area of the field. Deserved for the Brazilian youngster.
We're into the final five minutes of the first half, with this contest decidely low on defensive quality at the moment. Stanislas and King have been livewires for the hosts, with Martial and Memphis showing flashes of inspiration for the Red Devils. Otherwise, this game has been one congested and scrappy affair.
Memphis tries to lift a cross in from the left, with Fellaini the target at the back post! The Belgian midfielder, however, can't get anywhere near what is a poorly weighted delivery. Mata then tries to link up with Martial inside the penalty area, but the Frenchman is denied by Francis after showing some neat footwork!
McNair lashes a terrible clearance into the body of King, with the young defender failing to inspire any kind of confidence in his back four at the moment. Van Gaal might be forced to get the half-fit Phil Jones involved at the break, given the lack of leadership and brute force in his current back four.
Man United try to break down the left flank, but Martial fails to play a simple five-yard pass out to Memphis. Bournemouth respond with an attack of their own, with a crossfield ball failing to pick out Ritchie on the far side. The ex-Swindon wide man keeps the pass in play, just about, allowing for Borthwick-Jackson to pick up the scraps.
Narrowly over 10 minutes remain in the first half, with Bournemouth continuing to cause problems on the counter. Stanislas manages to beat Varela in the air, before racing into the penalty area and cutting back a neat cross, but his delivery into King is diverted wide by his teammate!
Andreas Pereira
J. Lingard
Lingard limps off with what looks to be a hamstring problem, with Pereira coming into what is already a slightly make-shift Man United line-up.
Poor from King! The Norway international is released in behind McNair by a fantastic pass, but the ex-Blackburn striker can only run the ball out of play at the byline under minimal pressure! Bournemouth might just come to rue some of these missed opportunities.
Man United find themselves level as we head towards the half-hour mark, which is probably fair on the balance of play. Although Stanislas has caused plenty of problems for the visitors, Van Gaal's men have enjoyed the majority of possession and exerted more pressure.
Stanislas manages to win another corner for the hosts, with the home fans really getting behind the Cherries at the moment! De Gea organises his defenders, but the aforementioned Bournemouth winger fails to pull off another goal-scoring delivery! The same man is picked out on the edge of the box moments later, but drags a low shot within the grasp of the goalkeeper!
M. Fellaini
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! MAN UNITED ARE LEVEL THROUGH FELLAINI! The Belgium international manages to stab home the scrappiest of finishes, but they all count! Memphis is set away into the penalty box, before forcing a save out of Boruc, with the ex-Everton midfielder the quickest man to react!
Man United are really struggling to contend with the breaks from the home side, with none of Van Gaal's back four having the pace to keep up with the likes of Stanislas and King. The Red Devils are definitely missing the solidity given by Smalling or Jones.
It should be 2-0! Stanislas is set away into the clear, with the former Southend wide men ghosting in behind the visiting back four. Instead of rounding an exposed De Gea and slotting home a simple finish, he instead takes a terrible touch and the Man United shot-stopper gobbles up possession! Let off for the away outfit!
Lingard is picked out at the back post, but Daniels managed to get a vital touch on the cross to put off the English winger! The away side are gradually starting to get on top, but plenty of Bournemouth bodies are sitting in behind the ball. Van Gaal's men are scratching their heads while trying to break them down.
AWFUL MISS FROM MARTIAL! Stanislas gives away possession horrendously, with the ex-Monaco striker able to race into the penalty area relatively unchallenged! When it looks harder to miss than score, the Frenchman manages to close his instep and stroke a woeful finish the wrong side of the left-hand post! Terrible, terrible stuff.
Chances have been few and far between thus far, with possession being turned over a lot in midfield due to scrappy fouls or poor passes. Borthwick-Jackson is attempting to get high upfield to support the runs of Memphis, but the Red Devils just aren't able to piece together any kind of threatening attack at the moment. The coaching staff on the visitors' bench applaud encouragingly.
Stanislas tries his luck from the 30-yard free-kick opportunity, but the ex-Burnley winger can only send a looping effort high into the stands! Man United just aren't able to move the ball at a high enough tempo to ask any real questions of a dense Bournemouth midfield.
Man United are enjoying more of the ball at the moment, but Martial has been incredibly quiet at the head of the visitors' attack. When they get hold of possession, however, Bournemouth are looking very neat indeed. King is felled by Blind on the edge of the box, with Stanislas or Ritchie able to try their luck from the resulting dead ball.
Carrick whips a cross into the back post, with Fellaini the target! The former Standard Liege midfielder, however, is penalised for a blatant push on his man! Van Gaal will definitely be frustrated with how the Red Devils have started this game, as they haven't looked defensively solid at all. King has the pace to have some fun this evening.
Man United have managed to muster up a couple of half chances in response to Stanislas' opener, but Dean Court is starting to look like a very intimidating place for the Premier League's big teams to visit. Mata picks out Depay on the left flank, with the Dutchman able to feed Borthwick-Jackson to the byline, but Arter slides in well to deny the young full-back.
GOOD SAVE FROM BORUC! The former Celtic goalkeeper makes a fantastic close-range stop to deny Fellaini! The Belgian manages to pounce upon a loose ball following the aforementioned free kick, but the Poland international stands tall to make a great intervention, before pushing a follow-up attempt from McNair around the post!
A horror start for Man United, with the hosts able to make their first corner of the evening count. Lingard tries to respond immediately with a mazy run infield from the right flank, but the Englishman is showed out of the danger zone. Moments later, Smith concedes a free kick in a very dangerous area.
J. Stanislas
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! STANISLAS SCORES IN STRANGE FASHION! King manages to win a free kick from Varela on the left-hand side, which Stanislas whips into the box! Gosling meets it at the near post, with the former Newcastle midfielder's attempt deflected behind for a corner. The same man takes the next dead ball and whips home a direct finish from it! Bizarre scenes and Bournemouth have the lead!
We are underway in the first half at Dean Court! The hosts are in their home kit of red and black, meaning that Man United are forced to change into their white away strip.
Man United substitutes: Jones, Young, Romero, Powell, Schneiderlin, Tuanzebe, Pereira.
Man United starting line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Varela, McNair, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson; Carrick, Fellaini; Lingard, Mata, Depay; Martial.
Bournemouth substitutes: Pugh, Rantie, Kermorgant, Federici, Distin, Murray, O'Kane.
Bournemouth starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Boruc; Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels; Surman; Ritchie, Arter, Gosling, Stanislas; King.
TEAM NEWS: Bastian Schweinsteiger is sidelined due to suspension for Man United, with the likes of Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo carrying injuries. Phil Jones is fit enough for the bench, with Van Gaal forced to pair Paddy McNair and Daley Blind in the heart of the defence. Guillermo Varela and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson get starts at full-back. Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick will hold in midfield, with Anthony Martial deployed as an orthodox number nine.
TEAM NEWS: Josh King starts up top against his former club, with the Norwegian striker having a point to prove after being farmed out to Blackburn Rovers by the Red Devils in the past. Harry Arter, Dan Gosling and Andrew Surman will look to congest the middle of the park, leaving Junior Stanislas and Matt Ritchie to continue to cause problems in the wide areas.
The away side are winless in four consecutive matches, after stumbling to recent Premier League draws with West Ham and Leicester. The hosts, meanwhile, come into this contest off the back of a high-octane 3-3 draw with Everton and a shock 1-0 victory over Chelsea. An upset could be on the cards this evening.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of Man United's visit to Dean Court, as Louis van Gaal's men look to remedy a Champions League headache with a Premier League win. The Red Devils crashed into the Europa League after losing against Wolfsburg during the week, with three points on the agenda to appease disappointed fans. Eddie Howe's men, meanwhile, are currently only out of the bottom three on goal difference.
