Bari 0-3 Inter: Goals from Kharja, Pazzini and Sneijder propel Leonardo's side into third

Inter now seven points behind AC Milan

Inter came away from the Stadio San Nicola 3-0 winners over Bari as Giampaolo Pazzini netted to make it three goals in two games for his new club.

A second-half flurry from the visitors saw Houssine Kharja open the scoring in the 63rd minute, before both Pazzini and Wesley Sneijder netted in injury time to secure the three points.

Inter now move into third spot with a game in hand over Serie A leaders AC Milan and second-placed Napoli.

During a first half that lacked any real goal-mouth action Bari were the side that came closest to scoring thanks to a Sergio Almiron freekick that forced Julio Sergio into a flying save.

Both Almiron and Massimo Donati had plenty of the ball in midfield as they overcame, Kharja and Thiago Motta, with Javier Zanetti spending most of his time covering full back Maicon who rampaged forward whenever he could.

In fact, the Brazilian was Inter's only real outlet in the first half and came closest to scoring for the away side after slaloming in from the right before toe-poking wide.
On the few occasions in the first half when Inter did get close to the Bari goal, Kamil Glik and Marco Rossi handled Diego Milito and Giampaolo Pazzini with ease, while being backed up by the solid Jean Francois Gillet in goal.

Going into half time, Inter started to gain territory but a compact and well-organised Bari side were comfortably on top in the opening 45 minutes.

The home team continued from where they left off in the second period, having the majority of the play but they really struggled to make any headway against the Nerazzurri's back four and failed to test the centre-back partnership of Marco Materazzi and Andrea Ranocchia that did look unsteady at times.

But as the half wore on, Inter began to up the pressure on the Galletti's defence, however, they looked inept as an attacking unit until the introduction of Sneijder, who slotted in behind the strikers.

Then just after the hour mark, the away side took the lead thanks to Kharja, after Samuel Eto'o sucked in Andrea Masiello and Glik before sliding the ball between both defenders to the unmarked midfielder who smashed home from eight yards.

Bari tried to hit straight back, but Alessandro Gazzi and Rossi were both denied by Julio Sergio, and despite throwing men forward in the final moments they went further behind when Pazzini and Sneijder scored deep into injury time to secure the three points.
