Not really threatened during the first half but great save at the start of the second half when his side were asleep. Was not helped by his defence when trying to deal with set-pieces. Clean sheet all the same.
T. Ben Haim
Produced a stunning cross for Sears goal which put the game to bed. Defended astutely and was never truly threatened.
Supported Stanislas down the left well and ventured forward at every opportunity. The big centre half, playing at full-back had a quiet game in defence.
Broke up play well for the home side and played the simple ball afternoon. He allowed West Ham to spring forward quickly and allowed the more attack minded players to flourish.
Controlled the game at the back for the home side but was troubled with corners, free-kicks and crosses into the box from Wolves. Went close to scoring the second for his side as his towering header was tipped onto the bar.
Produced another assured display alongside Upson. Only ever threatened by Wolves set pieces but he and his defensive colleagues will be delighted with the clean sheet.
Got himself into some good positions down the left and gave the Hammers a good outlet out wide. But when he got into the key positions his final ball let him down. Was caught offside far too many times. Replaced by Mark Noble after 69 minutes.
West Ham really have to do all they can to keep hold of their midfield general in January. He was everywhere once again, showing the sort of drive that could keep the Hammers up. Great through ball to put Cole in on goal, but the striker should have done better.
Failed to get into the game early on but produced the cross for the goal early in the second half. Not the best afternoon for the Frenchman but Hammers' fans won't care after his part in the goal.
Lively performance from the young winger. Every time he got the ball the crowd came to life. He showed good pace up against Elokobi and gave the full-back a torrid time with his quick feet. Capped of the afternoon with a great goal.
The England striker was really in the mood this afternoon. He put in a great effort up front chasing all the lost causes. Should have scored in the first half when Parker put him through and missed his kick when in on goal just before Zubar put the ball into his own net.
The tall goalkeeper had a solid afternoon. His handling was secure and he made himself big when faced with Carlton Cole one on one. Dealt with most of the shots West Ham sent his way but could do nothing about both goals.
Another of the Wolves players who failed to live up to their performance against Liverpool. Never got the chance to venture forward like he normally does and was pegged back by West Ham attacks.
Was put under pressure by the West Ham strikeforce all day. Not his best performance and was flat like many of his teammates.
Not the best of afternoons for the big defender asnd it was made all the worst when Piquionne's cross bounced off his leg and into his own net. A match to forget.
Was given a hard time by Cole by kept at it all afternoon. Made a fantastic clearance off the line from Sears in the first half.
Wolves' match winner against Liverpool did not have the same impact today. He couldn't get on the ball enough to make enough of an impact.
Anonymous in midfield. He didn't give enough support to the front players and needed to do more to get into the game.
Dangerous set pieces from the winger but other than that the feisty midfielder failed to get into the game. Replaced by Dave Edwards after 75 minutes.
Another who did not show up for the visitors. if Wolves are to get out of the drop zone they will need their players to give more.
Tried to rally his team and put in some testing crosses but was not supported by his men enough. Will be very frustrated with this performance.
Cut a loan figure up front for Wolves. Didn't get the service he enjoyed at Anfield and the Hammers defence beat him to the ball all afternoon.
- 1 M. Hahnemann
- 39 D. Batth
Replaced Hunt with 20 minutes to go but failed to make the impact his manager had hoped.
- 14 D. Jones
Replaced Milijas in the dying stages of the game. Not enough time to make an impact.
Brought on to replace to poor Elokobi as Wolves chased the game. But West Ham scored the second and the game was gone.
