The supporters were shocked by the transfer of the full-back to Germany which they feel will come back to bite the Premier League champions

Fans in South Africa were left surprised and disappointed after Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo joined Bayern Munich on loan.

The Portugal international, who is considered among the best in the world in his position, sealed a shock transfer to the Bundesliga champions on Monday and the Bavarian giants have an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

While some supporters do not see anything wrong, a big number feel manager Pep Guardiola will regret the decision since they think Nathan Ake and youngster Rico Lewis, who have been playing at left-back for City this season, are not on Cancelo's level.
