Kaizer Chiefs fans were left impressed by new signing Christian Saile Basomboli following his impressive showing on his debut on Sunday.
The Congolese striker was a menace for the Royal AM defence as Chiefs won 2-0, their first victory of the year, showing great pace and power before he assisted Ashley du Preez for his team’s second goal.
His display has given Amakhosi supporters a lift and they believe it will not be long before the Glamour Boys return to the top.
Chelsea are set to sign [Christian] Saile on a permanent deal from Kaizer Chiefs. Verbal agreement reached and here we go! Saile said goodbye to Chiefs fans and teammates tonight [Sunday] after assisting [Ashley] du Preez then he will sign with Chelsea until 2028.

Saile! I can't wait to see him playing against Bucs [Orlando Pirates]. -Giringo Magiringos
Great signs from the new signing, not afraid to take on defenders. Let's hope he adapts quickly to Chiefs' style of play. Overall, it was a great game. -Cassper Ngwenya
Rome was not built in one year, at Kaizer Chiefs, we are building. Well done boys. -Elijah Hlophe
Promising debut, assist, took on defenders and we [Chiefs] played as a team once again. [Siyethemba] Sithebe doing well in that midfield. Caleb [Bimenyimana] and [Keagan] Dolly need to start games from the bench. Let’s play performance not names, let’s grind results and build a winning mentality. -@Mpillow
Quality players here, our right-back position is in good hands [Reeve Frosler and Dillan Solomons] plus age is still on their side. We shouldn't lose either of them anytime soon.
-@Betbongz
Siyethemba Sithebe deserves more game time. He ran the midfield like a champion.
-@Backstagie
We will see more of this man [Saile] judging by his debut. Lots of pace and he is a team player, helped us [Chiefs] in defence when Solomons was out. -@XolileRion
Ashley du Preez is not a bad striker but Arthur Zwane is playing him out of position. Again, Sithebe is proving haters wrong with his box-to-box runs and Sifiso Hlanti what a player.
-@KurNarha_SA
Saile is not selfish, a contributor and engineer on the field and a dangerous forward. We are happy to have him. All the boys were pressing aggressively. They must keep it that way and more consistent. Khosi is rising. We are going to enjoy more sensational football.
