The West African team have named their XI to play the East Asian nation desperate for maximum points in Group H.

Ghana lost their opening game against Portugal 3-2 and will be keen to put their World Cup campaign back on track when they play South Korea on Monday.

While the Black Stars have not collected any points, the Taegeuk Warriors managed to share the spoils with Uruguay in their game that ended goalless.

Coach Otto Addo has now named a team he hopes will deliver to avoid the disappointment of getting eliminated in the group stage.

Tariq Lamptey and Jordan Ayew are among the players who have started.

  • Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi

    GOALKEEPER - Lawrence Ati-Zigi

Despite conceding three goals against Portugal, the 25-year-old Ati-Zigi did his part to keep the Black Stars in the game and has kept his spot ahead of Ibrahim Danlad and Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

  • Tariq Lamptey

    RIGHT-BACK - Tariq Lamptey

Lamptey comes in, replacing Alidu Seidu at right-back.

  • DF_Gideon Mensah

    LEFT-BACK - Gideon Mensah

28-year-old Baba Rahman was at fault for Portugal's second goal so Addo has replaced him with Mensah.

  • Daniel Amartey Qatar 2022

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Daniel Amartey

The Leicester City defender did well to cover keeper Ati-Zigi and will be keen to ensure the South Korea attackers don't find it easy.

  • Mohammed Salisu, Cristiano Ronaldo

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Mohammed Salisu

The Southampton defender was adjudged to have brought Ronaldo down in the box for Portugal's opening goal and was at fault for the second after losing his marker. He has to up his game on Monday.

  • Thomas Partey against Portugal in Qatar 2022

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Thomas Partey

The Arsenal midfielder was not at his usual best against Portugal as he failed to dictate the game like he usually does at the Premier League outfit. Partey has to exert his authority.

  • Salis Abdul Samed

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Salis Abdul Samed

The 22-year-old Salis, who plays for Lens in Ligue 1, gave a good account of himself especially when Partey went missing and surely Ghana want the same display.

  • Andre Ayew and Mohammed Kudus of Ghana

Kudus did remarkably well against Portugal and even created a goal. He has another opportunity to impress on Monday.

  • 20221124_Andre Ayew_Ghana

    LEFT-FORWARD - Andre Ayew

The Black Stars captain levelled matters for Ghana after Ronaldo had put Portugal ahead from the penalty spot and he has another chance to add to his tally of goals at the global competition.

  • Jordan Ayew

    RIGHT FORWARD: Jordan Ayew

The 31-year-old Jordan came in for his brother Andre Ayew in the 77th minute against Portugal and he had little time to make an impact. With Ghana needing goals, Addo has started him against South Korea.

  • Inaki Williams Ghana 2022

    CENTRE FORWARD - Inaki Williams

The 28-year-old Williams was not at his usual best against Portugal as he cut a lonely figure upfront. But due to his quality, he has been handed another start.
